Overall this hotel was very good. I was greeted at the front door by a very happy gentleman working the front desk. He was quick to pull up my reservation and get me checked in. As he was scheduling my shuttle service to the airport the next morning, we quickly noticed an issue. I did not realize that the shuttle service to the airport started at 6am and I needed it at 5am. The gentleman helping me quickly went to talk with the manager on duty, and he came back with excellent news. His mana... Read more

I arrived at 1a after a late flight and was greeted by a very nice clerk. While nothing fro the outside, the rooms have been updated with granite/very comfortable beds. The room was very clean (my priority over looks). There is a frig, microwave and coffee pot (with plenty of decaf and regular coffee bags). The food in the conference center was terrific- and the staff overly friendly/gracious. The exercise room is small but functional (one bike, elliptical, treadmill). The pool looked fabulou... Hands down, one of the worst Holiday Inns I've ever stayed in. They lie about amenities and count a gas station next door as part of what they offer. The front desk is slow and gets easily confused. The restaurant is terrible and you pretty much have to scream to even get service. As I help book business events in this hotel, I can assure we will not be coming back.

We stayed here before a flight. After a very long drive we had a terrible time even locating the hotel. It is in the middle of no where and when we called for directions the hotel personal ( who spoke hardly any English) said he could not help us with directions. Upon arrival we had a very unpleasant front desk person check us in. We went to the restaurant which looks nice in the pictures but is basically a dirty bar with shady looking people. We quickly went to our room. Rooms were average.... Read more

Honestly, I will not come back. This hotel needs a major overhaul. My showerhead was almost falling from the wall. No hot water today. Old carpets, cleanliness is to be improved. At least a flat iron and ironing board in the room. Very thin walls, you can hear your neighbors very well.

We needed to overnight in Chicago between flights and found this Holiday is listed near the airport. It is 7 mi/20 min away. A shuttle is provided which goes every 30 min. and starts at 6 a m. We needed a taxi for a very early flight which the hotel arranged. It was VERY impressive to receive a text confirming the taxi, its number and pick up time. The fare was $17. The hotel was clean, sunny and well appointed and the room was more than adequate. There is an indoor pool. Even the exterior ... Read more

Stayed here for the location and was very happy with the quality and cleanliness. Although this is an older hotel it is very clean and the beds are great. I highly recommend this property. The restaurant also has great calzones. They are replacing the carpet in the common areas and it has an ice fire pit and pool area.

It's a decent hotel, with updated rooms. I did have a lot of trouble with my keycard working but the maid staff was amazing and helped me. So sweet. There's no hot tub which my husband was disappointed with. But it's located near some great shopping and that's what I was there for so over all it was good!

Stated two nights on a business trip. I was on the 1st floor and the way teh hotel is laid out, felt pretty much like a cheap motel. The room was ok, but the bathroom left much to be desired. Torn shower curtain, bathtub drain oldish. The breakfast is basically at the attached tavern - so it's limited a la carte. But that restaurant freezes. Cold all the time. Not staying here again. There are better Holiday Inns close by.

My family stayed overnight to let our kids enjoy a nearby water park. Very clean and comfortable. Sean was very pleasant and helpful during check-in. Pool and fitness center were very well maintained. There is a mini arcade and by mini I mean 3 or 4 arcade games. Free wifi and parking. No breakfast or hot tub. There is a restaurant attached, gas station at the corner, and MCD in the next block. Not much else as its in an industrial area.

This hotel has great location but is in dire need of an upgrade. It can't compete even with the newer Holiday Inn Express properties in the Chicago area. New carpeting, bathroom fixtures and morning breakfast offered would improve its competitiveness.

this is a nice hotel to stay in when going to Chicago. it is close to the city and O'hare Airport . The rooms were a bit dated but clean. Forwarded packages to this hotel and no one seemed to know where they were although I told them when they were received and signed for by hotel personnel?

We were directed to this hotel after a cancelled flight at O'Hare. The booking was through a services provided by the airline - you call it, they book you, then you are instructed to call the hotel. At that point, the hotel has already made their money (or so seems their attitude). When calling the hotel about finding the shuttle, the night manager was rude, abrupt, and could only tell us about 'his' problems - "So many customers! I have to go!" We were not told anything about our room (we wan... Read more

When we first arrived at the holiday inn Elk Grove village we were welcomed by the nighttime reception who loudly and proudly told everyone who had ears in the vicinity our room number. When we finally got to our room and unpacked our belongings we realized there were no curtains on the windows so we were able to experience waking up at 5:30am with the sun. When we tried to phone down to the front desk to inquire about shuttles to O'hare we then discovered the phone did not work either. Our bi... Read more

I checked in on Sunday afternoon. The staff was friendly and very helpful. I stayed for 5 days. They are updating this hotel. While I was there the rooms received new light fixtures with the electric outlet to charge all our electronic gear. The rooms were very nice. The bathrooms were a little small. However, very functional. The WIFI was a little weak. However, the manager told me that was the next item on the list to upgrade. I would definitely stay here again.

I selected this property due to its location to ORD (I had a 5;30AM flight) and the hotels at airport were asking for double the rate this property was charging. This is a recently remodeled Holiday Inn. The lobby area is new, open and airy with a large public area and outdoor garden. The room I was in was in a much older part of the hotel. It was fresh, clean and modern, but there are some things you just can't change in a remodel. Doors are narrow, bathroom is tiny. It was extremely hot ... Read more

We stayed because we had an early flight out. In our research it was more economical to stay here at a regular rate and park in long term airport economy lot than it would've been to get a park n fly rate. The lobby has been renovated as was the room we were assigned. They were nice but the hallways are still in need of attention. The pool area was also nice.

Don't bring family there, place is loaded with prostitutes. The sheets have hairs on them. Don't let pictures fool you. There is abandoned cars there. I went there to pay for my room the manager Jennie wouldn't give me a receipt and put the money I gave her cash into her pocket. No wonder place looks terrible. Manager pockets money and the owner gets nothing to do repairs. Stay way you might catch something. You've been warned.

It appears that this building has an old part and a new part, or at least and old part and a more-recently-renovated part. The new part is quite nice -- the checkin area is sunny and modern, the restaurant is nice right off there. There is a lounge area that is large, spacious, sunny, and open. A small outdoor courtyard is available for strolling around. The swimming pool has a vaulted ceiling and, besides the typical pool furniture, some nicer tables and chairs as well, plus a few old arcad... Read more

The staff seemed disinterested in dealing with customers. The website and their own brochures assure that your room will have a mini fridge and microwave. There were none in the room we were given. The rooms have been recently remodeled and they were OK with the exception of no fan in the bathroom which has caused BLACK MOLD to accumulate on the ceiling over the shower. On Saturday afternoon, I wanted to relax in the room before a busy evening and as soon as I found a movie to watch an unholy... Read more

Everything in this Holiday Inn was clean and well kept. Asked for quiet room and got it despite it being near a busy road, it's set back a way so that helped. Didn't have breakfast so can't comment on that. Bar/ restaurant linked to hotel was good and had a nice vibe although the chicken tenders we had was pretty average and drinks at typical hotel prices. Would stay again for an overnight before travelling on.

We stayed here for Riot Fest 2016 for 3 days/2 nights. Upon entering you'll notice the beautiful flowers and landscaping, it's really the perfect way to start a stay. The front desk attendee, Abid Khan, is incredibly friendly and gracious and welcoming. We stayed in a king sized room on the second floor and were very pleased. Started here one night before we flew out of O'Hare. I highly recommend the hotel. Beds were comfy, room was clean, extra K cups were a nice touch for coffee. Attached he'd restaurant was wonderful. We had Guinness and the Bavarian pretzels. Perfect! Only complaint was the air conditioner in the room seemed to not cool as well as it should. We did mention it to staff who said maintenance will check it out. We will be back when we are in the area.

The staff are wonderful and responsive. Very convenient to ORD. Bed was perfect for a good night's sleep. Will return every time I am in the Windy City! The hotel is an older property, but very well maintained and the bar and restaurant are great for hanging out. There is an indoor pool downstairs. I don't know how "kid friendly" they are, but perfect for business travelers.

This is a great Holiday Inn. The lobby is very open and spacious with lots of glass. The front desk manager when we checked in is probably the best I have ever had at a hotel anywhere. He is truly excellent at what he does. The room was very spacious and the bed was comfortable. My pregnant wife is usually fairly critical of hotel beds and she slept very well here. I have stayed at this hotel for years. There is much to love about it including soft beds and great staff that really want to make you happy. Also the attached restaurant and sports bar is just perfect. Food is good and a little over priced but staff their is great as well. While not right next to ORD it is a short UBER ride away that takes about 20 minutes when traffic is normal. The pool area is nice also and there are a few suites so ask for an upgrade if you are a IHG Platinum guest :-)

I stayed here with my family for two nights while visiting Chicago for a family event. I picked this hotel because the price was much lower than downtown hotels and it was an easy drive into the city.
