Large size rooms .great staff. We faced a wall so we only got some road noise.sirens horns etc . definitely come back when we visit chicago again. Very near the taxi rides to museum aquarium etc and to theatre area. Can walk if you would like but a touch far for us. Amazing food everywhere nearby.a block from the Red line train subway.only drawback is the $48 per day parking fee.not much choice.

I recently stayed at the Hotel Blake while on a business trip in Chicago. The location was perfect, there is a great Mediterranean restaurant in the hotel called Meli which I would highly recommend. The staff was superb. There was a problem with the plumbing in my bathroom at 11:00 pm on the first night and the staff moved me to a suite to make up for the inconvenience. This was a GREAT stay and I highly recommend!

Noisy hotel. The red cap whistles for cabs constantly. Tried to sleep early after a long day and couldn't. Management doesn't seem to care. We stay in the City a lot, but not here again. Otherwise, the rooms are ok and the cafe next door serves great breakfasts

Overall a great hotel with a fantastic staff, The rooms were spacious and incredibly clean, as was the entire hotel. I originally had a room on the 2nd floor which was pretty noisy. All I had to do was ask, and they cheerfully moved me up the 6th, which was much more quiet. I would definitely recommend and would stay there again.

Stayed over the Memorial Day Weekend and what a delight it was, from the moment the doorman welcomed us we felt right at home. An early arrival in town meant we were there well before check in but the hotel checked our bags so we could go out to brunch. On return we ventured to our room on the sixth floor and what a delight. The room was very large and in truth very large by Chicago Loop standards, the virtual floor to ceiling windows ( a good 12 ft ceiling at that ) gave the room a great light ... Read more

Hotel Blake located in Printer's Row in Chicago was absolutely beautiful, comfortable, well appointed, great location & has wonderful staff. We booked because of the price & had an amazing stay. Hotel Blake is close to public transportation, beautiful landmarks & is in its own lovely neighborhood. Shout out to Show Time, the doorman extraordinaire.

I come to Chicago every year, and have always chosen to stay at the Hotel Blake. It's very clean and well run. The staff invariably provides outstanding service, and this year a front desk staff member, Ray was particularly outstanding. He was always extremely responsive, and then went the extra mile to acquire a refund for a scheduling snafu that was at least in part, my fault. Thank you!

The hotel was very nice, spacious and comfortable. Also, if you want GREAT concierge service ask for "Showtime" He is always willing to help with any request you may have and always, always, always has a huge smile and a delightful attitude. This hotel is on Printer's Row. The rooms were very clean and well maintained. We were within walking distance of the "L" and bus stops. Eating establishments were very close. I took 6 teenagers to see the city and I was comfortable with the neighborhood and let them go in groups down to eat. The front desk staff is INCREDIBLE! I explained that we were not from the city and very unfamiliar with public transportation and they were very kind giving directions every time we left.

Very impressed with the room and front desk staff - very helpful and accommodating. The hotel is in a nice location and the room was spot on. My one issue is that the bellman (not the popular Showtime), made a point to say that our wives had promised him a tip (they did, but we knew that because they texted us and we did tip him). Asking for a tip just made for a awkward situation... not bad, just awkward. Overall, a really nice visit.

Excellent location, great place to stay. We loved this place. Our room was ready early which was a bonus. The room was big and had a decent view. Everything about this hotel was great. My only complaint was that it was loud at night. There were several fire trucks/ambulances during the night w sirens blaring. The next day, I saw that they provide ear plugs on the night stand. This hotel deserves a solid 'very good' score for its good location. On arrival, the valet and luggage off-loading is a little tricky due to the bike lane in front of the hotel -- not the hotel's fault, but I almost got run over by a Chicago cyclist. The hotel is in a good location. Very close to the metro and highway. It is also three blocks from Michigan Ave and about 5 blocks from Buckingham Fountain. The room was very spacious. Not the best shower pressure, but always hot water. And ok A/C. My biggest problem was with their valet parking. It took me a very long time to actually get my car from the garage. One time, it took me 30 minutes from the point when I requested the car. The front desk attendant was not apologetic at all ab... Read more

My work group stayed here for two nights in early September. The desk staff was very pleasant and efficient. We had a strange encounter with the bellhop, Showtime, however. He took our bags and insisted that he bring them to our rooms. He was so insistent that we felt we had no choice (as a single female traveler I never have a bellhop deliver my bag). And, I felt pressured to provide a tip. I am sure he is a nice person but I felt a bit hustled. The room was spacious but very, very noisy... Read more

Don't get me wrong I've stayed at this place a few times. The location on Dearborn st is very close to buses and the loop. It's walking distance to Michigan ave.

I stayed at Hotel Blake on a business trip to Chicago. The room was nice and spacious, very clean and comfortable. The breakfasts were excellent and the hotel bar very welcoming. All the staff went the extra mile in all ways and recommended some great places to eat. Good location for getting around Chicago as well. Would stay again.

Upon arriving we we're questioning how to pull up at the front of the hotel. Called front desk and was told they were sending someone out to help, which happen to be a man who called himself Showtime. I must say he shows his self to be very friendly. Now, when it comes to your baggage he rocks, I guess this is where you have no options?Ą? but to let him do his job which he does very well. The staff was off the chain! Everything about my recent stay at the great Hotel Blake was wonderful. From check-in with Delysa (forgive my spelling), who was ever-so-gracious to my final goodbye, I cannot say enough about the dedication of the staff, the beautiful facilities, exceptional in-room amenities and overall great energy of this hotel. I was sad to leave and will definitely return again the next time I'm in Chicago. Stay here!

The Hotel Blake is a nice option if you are planning a trip to Chicago either on business or pleasure. Located just 2 blocks west of Michigan Ave and 1 block south of Congress on South Dearborn. Easy access to buses and the "L". "Showtime" the doorman is a wealth of information on restaurants and things to do. We have already booked rooms for a family weekend next July.

I have stayed at Hotel Blake multiple times while in Chicago on business. The staff was great and very helpful in all of my stays, helping me with restaurants, car services, and general attractions. Loved the 'happy hour' in the lounge where you can mingle with other out of town business guests. Easy walking to dining, drinks, attractions, and theaters. Would stay here again without question.

Lent me his umbrella and helped me get a cab to rush back to a restaurant I left my umbrella. He is the best...great asset to the establishment.
