Location was excellent! Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly! Room size was a little small. Bed was extremely comfortable!! Bathroom was small with no shelf room. Would've loved to have had a small seating area such as a sofa & coffee table. Fridge was available, although, it had hotel items that were required to be purchased separately from hotel cost. There was no microwave. Overall, we would stay there again as location, friendliness of staff, and comfort of bed were all important.

Willows is a clean, comfortable hotel with excellent staff. Adrian on Reception was a font of knowledge, and helped us find great bars and restaurants. Layla also very helpful. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. It wouldn't suit everyone as you have to serve yourself and sit up at bar stools, but we found it great to start our day. The hotel is in a thriving neighbourhood, so after a hard day sightseeing it is perfect for finding a good restaurant or bar/grill for dining. Friendly modern an... Read more

This is my new favorite hotel in Chicago. The neighborhood is safe, clean, full of great restaurants, cafes, and bars. The room was comfortable. The continental breakfast is simple, free, and convenient. The building is old and has great character. If you're looking for big and fancy, you may be disappointed. But if you're looking to write your next novel or find yourself in a new city, I highly recommend The Willows Hotel. Emilea (the girl at the front desk) has great recommendations for nearby... Very nice hotel in Lincoln Park. We stayed here to be near our son's apartment for his graduation. We had a small suite. The hotel is in an older building but has been updated. The bathroom is a little small, but not a problem. We had a little trouble with the gate not opening in the parking garage when we first arrived which was annoying after a long drive. This was resolved by the hotel staff. The breakfast was very good. Very convenient location. We would definitely stay here again.

First glance this hotel is awesome. The decor is old style and elegant and not your cookie cutter hotel. Our room was also beautiful and we were very pleased when we walked in. Unfortunately, there were two issues that will not let me stay there again. The bathtub had not been cleaned from the previous occupant and the carpet was so dirty that when I walked around in bare feet the bottom of my feet were black. Lack of attention to these areas will prevent me from recommending this hotel.

The hotel staff was very friendly. The room was clean. Hotel is not fancy, but a good basic city hotel. Public parking 1block away, so can avoid expensive parking at many hotels. Restaurants are short walk from the hotel. The hotel is in a very nice residential area,so nice for walking. Parks a short walk. Close to public bus route.

This is an older hotel that has been upgraded, and is in excellent condition. It is clean and comfortable. There is plenty to do near the hotel and many good restaurants. The continental breakfast is good with very good coffee. We enjoyed our stay here. Our stay enhanced by the way Adrian and Emilea assisted us in such a caring and professional manner. The made us feel at home. We would certainly recommend this hotel to our friends. It is an easy commute to downtown Chicago on the metro from D... Read more

A gorgeous boutique hotel located in a lovely residential area just off North Broadway which has a large variety of eating places. The hotel is a 10-15 minute bus ride into the city with the bus stop a short distance away. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful, particularly Emilea. My room was very clean and comfortable. I would definitely choose this hotel for another stay.

The Willows is a charming hotel situated on a relatively quiet street, in a very pleasant part of Chicago close to Lincoln Park. There are plenty of restaurants and shops close by and the city centre is easily accessible. Staff at the hotel were always friendly and helpful. Coffee and tea was provided in the lobby all day and a continental breakfast served each morning.

great little hotel, enjoyed the charm and funk of it from being an older property. Very clean and nice modern rooms. Didn't realize how north it was, but was easy to take the L and buses to get where we wanted. Walking distance to Wrigley Field. Parking was secure and very affordable. Breakfast was typical continental breakfast but was nice to not be part of a major chain. Would happily stay again if we didn't want to be really close to downtown. Was a pretty quiet hotel! Great location for me to attend a buisiness meeting and also visit friends in the area. The room was nice overall but some of the structure in the bathroom and windows was outdated. It did not bother me. It was clean. Also a nice addition to have a well priced mini bar, wine, and snacks available in the room. I would stay here again!

Stayed for three nights. Great part of town. Close to all sorts of restaurants. The hotel was nice. Different. Not your normal Hilton. More like a European hotel or staying at an aunt's house. Breakfast was decent.

Whenever Adrian was at the desk, the lobby sparkled with his friendly personality. Always Adrian was available to help anyone. We'll miss him when we leave in at the end of our week here in Chg. This is a newly renovated hotel, but yet retaining the essence of casual. We had a small room but sufficient for two of us. Clean bathroom, w/ hot water, nice towels and a good bath drain. Professional staff, sufficient breakfast, clean rooms & nice lobby on a nice stree

We recently stayed at The Willows, and what a great little place it is! The room was beautiful, mini bar items very cheap and the continental breakfast is just what we needed every morning. Everyone who comes here should speak with Emilea at the front desk, as she is probably the most helpful and knowledgeable hotel employee I have ever met. She recommended great restaurants and gave us expertly detailed directions. We will definitely come again!

We were in town visiting family and on college tours. I found the Willows while conducting a Trip Advisor search. This place exceeded our expectations. It's an older boutique hotel, but clean, comfortable, larger than normal hotel room and very conveniently located in Lincoln Park, loads of great restaurants, shops within walking distance. My only complaint was when the gentleman at check out referred to me as a "grandmother" - I'm a Mom, not quite a "Grandma" :) he meant well. no hard feelings.... Read more

The hotel could have a better hairdryer & towels. The staff was very friendly. The location was very convenient & it felt very safe to walk from. The hotel is older but furnished very nicely, it felt a cozy inn because of its small size & residential location.

This is a great boutique hotel in the Lincoln Park District. It is 1.5 miles from Wrigley Field in a nice neighborhood. The hotel is wonderful, we had a double queen room and it was clean and spacious. The staff was excellent. Very helpful. Good breakfast in the morning. The mini bar items are very reasonable priced. This is definitely on our "Return To" list. This is a mid-priced hotel, except when there is a game at Wrigley then prices do go up. Still feel the room was a good value.

The Willows is a beautiful, older hotel in a great location in downtown Chicago. The staff was friendly and overall, it was very good. The only minor complaints are that the heating/cooling system could stand updating and the window in my room faced an alley that was noisy at times.

Wanted to spend a weekend with family and The Willows allowed us to do just that! So fun location within walking distance for local dining and "little shop" shopping. When I originally looked online I found it too pricey BUT when I checked back, the price was different and what I expected. Older but sweet and friendly.

The Willows is ideally located in Lincoln Park near the lake and parks with plenty of places to eat nearby. The hotel itself is older, but the appointments etc. are nice. Except for the bumpy carpet in the halls. The breakfast was an especially nice surprise. Not just a few muffins, but microwavable egg, bacon biscuits etc. Front desk staff were pretty helpful but a little off-putting at first when I was trying to make sure of the reservations for myself and a friend. I fell in love with this place! I believe it started its life as a residence building in late 1800's. Its lobby reminds me of an in-town small European hotel. When you come out the front door, you're on a cute tree-lined street, but at the same time only a half a block from restaurants and shops and not far from public transportation. It's a three block stroll to the parks along Lake Shore Drive. The staff was very professional. The only thing to be aware of - do not chose odd-numbered roo... Read more

I was in town visiting some old college friends and was recommended this place. I was very happy with my stay. The hotel is in a great location. The front desk person, Emilea, was very helpful with directions and information about the neighborhood. My room was clean and the low minibar prices were a bonus. The breakfast was limited, but it's free so can't complain too much, I would definitely recommend staying at this hotel.

Lovely employees, just as expected, room was equipped with a ton of snacks. The only thing needed is at least one more lamp in the room. It has an overhead light but the light is blinding. The room is too dark. But they do have a nice little breakfast in the morning. Great neighborhood.

The hotel is quite old but quaint in a good way. Comfortable rooms. Charming lobby with good coffee and great windows for people and dog watching. Kind of a European village feel here. There is a very good Scottish whiskey bar a few minutes away that felt very comfortable; good musak, food, local neighborhood professionals.

I found this hotel very convenient and cosy . Walking distance to many useful services. Room was very nicely renovated clean and quite but with dirty windows which was not an issue as there was a wall just vis a vis. Just 22 bucks for in and out privileged parking. I find it extremely funny that the basic possibility to get in and out from a payed parking place is called " a privilege " ... you know a basic thing like that is a privilege... funny indeed... but it is not a joke in the Windy City ... This sweet, little hotel is tucked away in a little neighborhood but is easy to get to. From the moment we stepped into The Willows (at 9:30am), the staff was more than accommodating allowing us to check into our room with no additional cost very early. We rested up and explored the neighborhood shops and restaurants. It was fun to retreat to the city via public transportation (easy to do) but also get out of the big city feeling (and sounds) before we went to sleep at night. The prices were com... Read more
