I don't often give five star reviews but the Peninsula Hotel in Chicago deserves even more stars. We live in metropolitan Chicago and love to come to the city several times a year for weekend get-aways. We have a lot of favorite hotels and tend to stay at them over and over again. On this weekend we were meeting up with family and wanted to stay in a location that was really easy for them to get to. That and a gift certificate to the Peninsula‚??s Shanghai Terrace encouraged us to make a reserva... Read more

By far my favorite place to stay in the city! Rooms are amazing, views are as well. Lobby Bar is great-the Chocolate at the Pen is beyond compare as is the breakfast. Location is great, lots of choices just beyond the doors.

The Peninsula was absolutely perfect. The bedding, the lighting, the bathroom, the extra long tub, all of the beautiful details you expect from a gorgeous hotel were there. Room service was delicious. The staff was fantastic. The Peninsula is my new happy place!

This hotel is truly worthy of 5 stars. We made reservations directly with the hotel & received the same excellent pricing the website offered. (Talk with Geneva in reservations). From the moment we talked with the hotel & throughout our 6 night stay, the hotel site & every single staff member were wonderful. Staying so long, we became acquainted with everyone. We were offered the complimentary upgrade to an Executive Suite which was beautiful and very comfortable. There were two of us but... Read more

My husband and I stayed at a corner suite in The Peninsula for one night to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We had a beautiful view of Chicago buildings including the Holy Name Cathedral. We used points to pay for the stay which was a fantastic treat. My husband noted the wedding anniversary to the staff in his reservation online and the staff responded with complementary Mo√ęt & Chandon champagne and chocolate covered strawberries delivered to our room. It was wonderful. The Peninsula bran... Read more

My wife and I decided to do a weekend in Chicago and wanted to try a hotel we've not stayed in before. Been to Chicago many times and stayed at the Ritz and 4 Seasons. The Peninsula compares very favorably to both. We had a corner suite with very good views. The room was very spacious, clean, and well appointed. The only problem was we wanted to go for high tea and was told no cuz we didn't have a reservation then on Sunday we wanted to try their brunch and once again told no as we didn't have... Read more

This was our second stay at this property and it was just as wonderful as the first time. The rooms have all been renovated since we were last there (although there was no reason to, they were already gorgeous!). It was so nice that the lady that checked us in remembered us from our previous visit! We also arrived early and we were allowed to check-in. We had a view of Michigan Avenue and could see the Water Tower Building. One of the things I love about Peninsula Hotels is the amount of sp... Read more

Perfect service and the nicest hotel rooms I've seen in Chicago (beating out the Ritz Carlton and the Waldorf Astoria). Spacious, well-appointed rooms, a beautiful night's sleep, and near-seamless touchpad controls for TV, radio, and lighting. This was living in true luxury. The hot tub was not filled and the pool was a bit crowded when I tried to use it--I'd rate the Ritz a bit better in terms of gym / spa facilities but overall the Peninsula's rooms were better and the service just as frien... I was part of a group from switzerland. They take us for a tour around the property explaining all the details. Christopher from F&B take us to eat in the japanese restaurant and the food was delicious. You can really feel what luxury service means. All rooms are high tech with a lot of facilities. If you are looking for a perfect location and service you should visit Peninsula Chicago.

Spent 4 nights mid December at what was rated the best of Chicago Hotels... the hotel has a good location, but the restaurants were definitely lacking for a Five Star Hotel. Their primary restaurant was off the lobby where an un innovative middle of the road breakfast/ dinner was served, nothing special. One of the restaurants was outside the main entrance on the street , which made no sense with the temperatures were in the 0-15F range. The room was nice, but had no view other than another high...
