I enjoyed my stay here during the 4th of July weekend. My room was comfortable, the concierge was helpful and the lobby was really big and very nice. The one thing I didn't like about the place was, I wanted to store my luggage after checking out and when I went to the Bell stand, I was pointed towards a storage room, where I had to take my luggage and hand it to someone there. I had to go back to this place to collect my luggage also. I thought this was unusual. It would have been nice 8f the p... Read more

I booked the Sheraton via a travel packaging site, and I feel I lucked out in a big way. I arrived at 10:30 a.m., well before the 3:00 check-in time. All I expected was to be able to drop off my bags, but there ended up being a room available. I've had hotels charge to get me in a few hours early, but the Sheraton was happy to do so. The front desk staff was very personable, even though they were quite busy with it being a holiday. I found everyone to be extremely hospitable during my stay. The ... Read more

We were at the Sheraton during the 4th of July long weekend. This hotel is in an excellent location. Did not need to use our car at all. The Hop on Hop off bus stops across the street. The rooms were ok--basic hotel rooms. But as a person on business in Chicago, I have to have a decent internet connection, which I did NOT...and had to pay almost $20 a day for the poor service. Also, I had no hot water for 2 days. This was amended after I let them know. Not a great experience for what we paid.

Stay 30 June - 1 July. Myself and 2 friends stayed at the Sheraton for 2 nights at the beginning of Route 66. The hotel is in a great location for sites, scenes, and generally getting about. Shopping on Michigan Avenue and Navy Pier all in walking distance. The hotel offers several bars and several eating places. It also has its very own Starbucks. We had a river view from our room on the 11th floor which was stunning. The room was clean and comfortable and very spacious for 3 girls sharing. ... Read more

We stayed during 4th of July weekend. This was an optimal location to enjoy the heart of downtown and the 4th of July activities. Its minutes from great restaurants, parks, Navy Pier, and the Magnificent Mile. There isn't a close line to public transportation, so if you plan to use it, know you will have to walk 10-15 minutes to the nearest line. The room was good-comfortable bed, nice TV, and great shower. The only downfall was there wasn't much counter space in the bathroom, but we could easi... Read more

Actually apart from having a bed the hotel was a very poor experience. The recent renovation was well done but couldn't actually mask the true age of the building. There was a party in room 939 two rooms from ours that was very loud. People were gathered in the corridor and it took three phone calls over 45mins at 11pm with three different Guest Relations people to get a resolution. For a hotel in a major city that I am paying over $200 per night, I expect to have some additional things that even a "regular" hotel chain provides. Things such as a refrigerator, free wifi would have went A LONG WAY to making this stay better. Special night for my girl friend's birthday. Super long lines at check-in. The requested and promised refrigerator never showed up. Had to toss the gelato. Give a sh** attitude by staff. Be careful with the parking. Just because there's a direct entrance to the hotel from the parking structure doesn't mean there is any association with the hotel. Staying elsewhere next time. The concierge was a rockstar. Couldn't have asked for a more knowledgeable staff. She was very helpful finding excursions to do and places to eat. Thanks again Marisa The 10 ladies from WI taking Chicago by storm!!!!

A lake sided with lake view rooms make it more special than it is. A bit expensive but it will worth for the same. I have a wedding to attend it and that of an Indian one. Was surprised the food they served. It actually an Indian. And that of so so tasty...

The Sheraton Grand Chicago is our hotel of choice for the past 6 years. When we checked in the hotel, we discovered the hotel was overbooked. The Sheraton Grand made arrangements for us to stay at another luxury hotel within walking distance. They comped us for our hotel night and paid for our breakfast the next morning. When we checked into the Sheraton Grand Chicago, we were given a room with an amazing view, upgraded to include breakfast in the lounge. Finally, much to our surprise we receive... Read more

Spent the weekend in Chicago for my 30th birthday. The staff was very warm and welcoming and I felt like a made a new home. We were taken care of from the moment we entered the hotel till when we left. The hotel is close to everything you could want to do in Chicago. Hats off from one hotelier to another.

Having stayed here with a group of Friends from the check in o check out the staff had no clue to what they are doing. This is your typical chew them u... Read more

Michael O'Day, one of the many valet workers at this hotel, was fantastic. He was very professional and polite, helped us with our bags, asked about our lives, and made us feel like we were the most important people there. There was a line and others were waiting, but we did not feel rushed and he was really excited to help us. Even if the hotel and associated items weren't the best, this man made a great impression.

I have been staying at the Sheraton for a number of years and some of the staff have reached out to me over the years offering their help and service. Occasionally I'll reach out to one or more of them with a special request (like early checkin) and they are always very responsive and helpful. This hotel has become like my home in Chicago, where I travel for business often!

It is refreshing to stay and be treated as nice here. The place is immaculate, the people are friendly, the rooms are clean. If you can , get the Club Level room. The morning coffee and the treats are great. The views are fabulous.
