The Good: Great location on the Magnificent Mile and more modern and larger rooms than other, similarly priced hotels in River North area. The lobby bar is hipster chic and great rooftop bar. These features make it a great hotel travelling for fun. The Bad:Could be better for business travelers. I woke up several times in the night to hallway conversations due to the thin walls and light coming through under the door. The hotel only has two elevators for the high floors and at one point only on... Read more

Large rooms, very attractive, quiet, great location, fair price, with all important amenities. Nice lobby coffee shop, good breakfast, nice open-air rooftop lounge. Convenient to many restaurants and less than 1 block from Magnificent Mile.

Room was clean. Street is not busy compared to other places in town which is nice because your in the city but not listening to a lot of the city noises. Lobby is modern with all types of seating and a small café type area for coffee and small breakfast

Really had a great time at this Hotel. Location to is perfect. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Lobby lounge was really nice as I could get a cup of coffee in the mornings and a glass of wine in the afternoons. The roof top lounge had a wonderful view of the city. I also enjoyed Rush Street, the Shops on Mi Mile, location to trains, the Museum of Modern Art, the Holy Names Cathedral was beautiful and my run on the lake was fantastic! Keep up the good work MileNorth!

Stayed at this hotel twice in the past few months and it is very well located near the lake and the shopping area. Rooms are comfy and quite spacious. Public spaces are nice and comfy too. People at Reception very efficient and helpful.

The location is great, just around the corner from all the hustle and bustle of Michigan Ave. So much to do in that area, but without all the noise right outside the room. The room itself was great. Modern looking and very clean. The shower had excellent water pressure which is always questionable when you travel. Staff was friendly and helpful. Would love to stay again.

This hotel is in prime location! The staff is very helpful and friendly, especially Sam the bell hop. The room is clean with comfy beds, the only issue was that you could hear every time your neighbor flushed when using the bathroom.

Visited on business. My room was very spacious and modern. Several thoughtful touches including heat lamps in the bathroom. My colleague stayed in the east tower and did not have the same accommodations despite same price. My other recommendation is to avoid a room by the fitness center. Someone decided the gym late at night and every time I drifted off to sleep I heard weights bring dropped. Overall nice place though with very convenient location.

The hotel is fairly clean and is not very busy. But we have issues with their elevators breaking down multiple times. Also, their rates are way to high and their rooms do not live up to what you would expect for the price. Overall, decent.

Great value and super great hotel in a perfect location. Super clean. Felt very safe. Only good things to say about this Hotel!!! Roof Top lounge was very very nice. Outdoor seating in front of hotel was great for people watching. Navy Pier was only about an easy mile walk away. Gino's pizza right next door literally. 29 floors. Parking right across the street.....which was super convenient and also safe for the car. Highly recommended

Location is very good and suite has a nice layout. The elevator situation has been very bad - they are small and very slow to get up and down and most of the time ended up waiting for a very long time only to find them packed with other guests. I ended up taking the stairs most of the time. This is just the main elevators that go to the roof, elevators going to the 7th floor are much better.

We've stayed at MileNorth several times. What we've found is that the rooms are quiet, the bathrooms are huge, the beds are comfortable and the location can't be beat! It's amazing that the hotel is so close to everything yet so quiet and relaxing. All of this for a reasonable rate makes this hotel a no-brainer if you're looking in the Michigan Ave area.

The location is great, the actual hotel not so much. The wait for elevators is out of control. One of two elevators was broken and only one elevator for 20+ floors is not acceptable. If looking for only location and price this hotel would work.

One block off Michigan Avenue, right next door to Gino's East (GREAT pizza) and close to Navy Pier as well. Hotel is very clean with a bar in the lobby, breakfast buffet and rooftop bar as well. Room was very large compared to others I have stayed in downtown area and very clean. Valet service is expensive if you have a car, roughly $60.00/night but there are other options for nearby ramps that are a bit cheaper. Overall great place to stay and would recommend to others.

there was a very friendly and professional bearing with the hotel staff. I would rather not express all of my concerns in a review, for I feel it may just have been a bad room and a bad day for the hotel, stayed once before and things were much better, plus with only 200 characters to use, I could not fully express my concerns. Great location. Great City. Great Country. I will say hotel rooms could use some freshening up and staff could be a little more friendly

We tried to confirm the baby crib a week before our arrival but we were told we couldn't be helped because we booked through Expedia. When we arrived, I asked the front desk about the baby crib, a refrigerator to keep the baby milk cold, and laundry services. Instead of answering my questions she told us that all the information would be in the room. The baby crib was not in the room when we arrived.

The exception was the bartender and waiter on the 29th floor. The bartender was very unfriendly and the waiter didn't even acknowledge us actually taking a menue from our table for someone else. Around the corner from the magnificent mile and next store to one of Chicago's greatest pizza locations...Gino's East! Thank you Mile North for an amazing stay!

My daughter and I stayed three nights. Check-in was seamless and professional. The woman who works the bar/coffee bar was extremely helpful in making sure we had a true Chicago experience. The hotel is in a great location.

We could not have been more impressed with every facet of our stay. The location was outstanding, and the staff was great. Rooms were extremely well-appointed, clean and luxurious. We'd come back without hesitation.

I will always be booking a room here when i travel to Chicago. Even booked less than a month before my trip, the staff was accommodating and the price for a room was better than any other hotel I looked into. Zero complaints- so glad I was told about Mile North!

Great location, comfortable lobby, pretty much everything everything you need in a hotel. The room was very spacious. If it wasn't for all those city and state taxes!!!!! Yikes!!!! Walking distance to the lake, Navy Pier, shopping, and restaurants.

This hotel is LONG on location, location, location... and short on some other things. I think hotels should strive for consistency and as I was staying here with a group, we were able to compare notes. There were lots of differences between the room experiences and there really should not have been. If they want to continue to get good reviews, they should develop customer service protocols to ensure that EVERY stay is a great stay. You shouldn't have a situation where room A is sparkling cl... Clean and spacious rooms. Walking distance to shops good places to eat nearby. Walking distance to the lake. Horribly slow elevators to get to and from your rooms you literally have to think 10 times before you head out for lunch or dinner. You start questioning whether its worth it waiting 20 mins waiting for the elevator

The room itself was amazing, plenty of space, comfortable bed and bedding, TV could've been bigger, specially since we rented a movie but it was still enjoyable! The whole room was clean, had an iPhone/iPod alarm clock and was extremely neat. I look forward to my next stay here!

This was a good stay except one elevator was down so there was only one for all guests over the 7th floor. But it was a great location and they give you a voucher for $5 off of a drink at the barista bar if you don't need maid service each day. Located beside Gino's east.

Excellent employees. Great location. Too many adjectives to describe an all around fabulous stay. Walked to beach and Navy Pier. Great restaurants within walking distance. We came in to see Barbra in concert.

Booked a 2 bed king suite and was informed there was a flood and this was no longer available and was provided a queen with a pull out couch which concernig as I paid additional for comfortable beds. There was only 1 elevstor servicing the high rise floors which major time delays. We had to call the elevator 5-10 minutes in advance to catch the elevator. We did recieve any compensation until we had to complain and then was offered a breakfest during our stay. Very poor for the amount of money i ... Read more

We arrived on a Saturday afternoon around 2pm and had to track down the valet and stood at the check in counter for around 15 minutes as no one was there (there was a wedding party in the lobby but no one else was checking in). On our second night my wife asked if the hotel had a microwave she could use to reheat a slice of pizza and she was simply told no, we received a call a few minutes later with someone offering a solution. The elevator situation was horrible, on Saturday night there was a ... Read more
