"I thought this was a very good hotel. The lobby was being renovated which is fine, I'd like to stay here again and see what it looks like. Our room was nice, bed was comfy, bathroom and shower were big. The only issue I had with the room were the shades, they were almost sheer white with no heavy curtains or room darkening shades so the room was very bright and I couldn't sleep as well because of it. This hotel is in a great location and right next to Gino's pizza. We will definitely stay here again."

"Overall MileNorth was a really good experience. However, there were a few issues. First the hotel was under renovation. Secondly, the pipes rattled when i showered. And lastly, there was a loud and long lasting party(ended at @ 5.00 a.m.) in the room right across the hall from me."

"Hotel is in fantastic location - great building. The website did not reflect that lobby and restaurant were closed for renovation.

We had a plumbing issue - first call at 11 p.m. took an hour for a response. When they could not fix it could not be resolved until a.m. We called again and engineering had it fixed in 2 minutes - too bad they don't have nighttime engineer or proper training and equip for staff.

Overall a great location - I will return after renovations are completed"

"Ok, let me start by saying that the first thing I noticed when I walked into my room was that there was an enormous stain outside the bathroom. But whatever, this place was insanely cheap - $80 a night including taxes for an ENORMOUS room, at least to my UK standards (I'm a Brit), plus an enormous bed and a knockout view of the city.

But then I walked on said stain and it was wet. Grim.

But, but, the staff (particularly a young black guy who was working on Saturday night) couldn't do enough to help. They moved me into an even more enormous room, in fact a suite, gave me a free breakfast and two free drinks vouchers.

The breakfast, by the way, was fine, great for the price. I has cereal as fruit and fantastic freshly squeezed juice, which, again, for the price, is knockout.

They had a cab waiting for me when I left at 4.40am on a Monday morning and were spot on with my wake up call.

Yes, the hotel's being renovated currently, which means that the main reception isn't open and there are makeshift signs in places, plus it's really not as clean as it should be- from the bath I could see a stray hair on the toilet rim - eugh- and i found a woman's belly button ring in the corner of my first room, plus the box that contained stationary was dusty, but really I was overwhelmed at how lucky I was to get such fab service, a great room at such a good price.

Very much recommended."

"While the room was clean and nice, the location wonderful and walkable to so many attractions, the front desk staff we dealt with during our stay was really not friendly at all. While a complimentary coffee bar was supposedly included in our stay, when I arrived at the lobby early each morning to inquire, I was met with a questionable look and told there was no complimentary coffee, but that I could purchase coffee to go at the adjoining restaurant. I went back to my room to make coffee only to find that the coffee maker hadn't been cleaned or coffee packets replenished from the previous day. I'm not a happy guest when items that are advertised as complimentary are not provided! There are many hotels in Chicago for the rate we paid. I think we will look toward staying somewhere else next time around."

"Your staff at Mile North Hotel tended to every need that we could of needed. They went up and beyond every time we went out they greeted. Your bell men greeted her each and every time we went out the door.

The food was excellent both in the lounge and room service.

The only down side we experienced was the shower head was broken, it was very hard to take a shower. But considering everything that was being done for us I would not complain. You might want to look into this though for the next guest. The room was very spacious, considering we had a lot of medical equipment and our wheel chair.

Again thank you for making this dream come true. If we ever come back to Chicago we will be sure to stay with you's."
