The smoke detector started going off just as we fell asleep, at 130 am we had to move to another room 2 floors down, which was smaller with no compensation. I was told the engineer ended his shift at 11pm and there was nothing else they could do to help me.

Really had a great time, the staff was friendly , the room was clean. Only thing I would advise you not to do is to not use their vale parking. It takes 30+min for it to come even if you call ahead, and the guys tend to "play" with the cars as they speed and act carelessly.

Booked this hotel for a quick mid-week getaway for my wife and I. I read several of the reviews here about MileNorth and they helped in making my decision. My wife was pleasantly surprised with this property (She's platinum with Marriott). The staff was friendly and accommodating, The room was great. The coffee was as good as the other reviews say. We did run into the slow elevator issue but the wait was minor overall, and for such a nice hotel, the quality of the picture on the room wasn't the ... Read more

A friend and I just spent two great days at the hotel. The decor is terrific - from the antique luggage on the front desk to the fireplace. The beds are comfortable, and the staff is great. I'd like to give a shout out to Robert. We had one small "wrinkle" with our room and he made it RIGHT (and then some). From room 907, thank you for your help, Robert! And, the rooftop deck is a great place for a nightcap. This place is convenient to the Navy pier, and it's easy to walk through the parks to th... Read more

Location is one of the best things about this hotel, in the heart of everything! The staff were friendly upon our arrival and checked us in quickly. The room was immaculately clean, and very big considering how much we paid. Lots of storage space, little foyer before stepping down into the main bedroom area. Other big plus' were the wifi, very quick. The bed was SUPER comfortable, tv had lots of channels to flick through whilst drifting off and it was very quiet. Oh and Cheesecake Factory right... The room was crisp and clean if a bit dark. I can't imagine who designed the shower, because you would have to stand under the shower head to turn it on, and thereby get either a very cold or very hot beginning of your shower. This is my second stay here and it is fast becoming my favorite. The whole experience is excellent. The staff, the rooms, and Gino's East is basically part of the hotel. Great decor and vibe just enhances the downtown Chicago experience. Plenty of A/C a major plus for me, as some other downtown stays have barely cut it.

My group and I really enjoyed our stay at MileNorth Hotel. The only issue we had were one of the elevators was broken down and the other broke down too. We had to walk up 21 floors which obviously isn't fun.. My only other complaint was that I feel breakfast should have been complimentary, not a $15 charge.. But other than those two gripes we had a great experience at your hotel.

Very kind persons at the front desk. Hotel is perfectly situated for a stay in Chicago. Very nice room, clean, comfortable, spacy and with a nice design. Elevator repair was too long. One working elevator is not enough for such a Hotel

The rooms are really nice here. Very spacious. The part I didn't like about my stay were the inconveniences they seemed to have no urgency to fix. There are only 2 elevators that go any floor above 7 and 1 of the elevators was down for my entire 4 night stay and judging from the signs posted in the lobby and elevator had been down for a while before then as well. It is a 29 floor hotel so each ride takes a while meaning going up to my room would sometimes take a half hour from the lobby to my ro... Read more

Great location, close to Michigan Ave, bus stops. Room was clean and spacious, but overall hotel could use some improvements. Key cards didn't work properly on multiple occasions; Elevator was extremely slow; Lobby bar closed at 10:30pm- even on weekends; Sink is located inside bathroom with toilet and shower; There is no bath fan and extremely poor lighting. Breakfast is not included and very pricey- go elsewhere. They charge a daily fee for the fitness room and "business center", (which ended ... Read more

We stayed here as part of our trans America trip. It is a nice modern hotel in a central location. one can walk to most place of interest from here. the room was spacious with all the usual amenities you would expect from a four star hotel. Did not eat in the hotel except for breakfast. There is a great pizza restaurant next door but it gets really busy so so may have to queue. We were on the 26th floor so it can be a bit of a wait for the when everyone is checking out! On the whole a pleasant ... Read more

Only issue is affordable parking in the area. Valet parking was $60+ and elf parking $50+. Good location, nice room, helpful and pleasant staff. It appears hotel is changing owners again or at least its name.

I loved the location and the friendliness of the staff at MileNorth. We could walk to every sightseeing spot to see. The rooms were a great size and very clean. I would definitely recommend and stay here again next time I visit Chicago.

We were very happy with MileNorth as it is priced reasonably for a tastefully decorated, clean hotel in a great location. We would stay here again. The water temperature and pressure in the shower was great and we got a good night's sleep on comfortable beds with comfortable pillows.

This hotel is centrally located. We walked to several places on our trip. We also used the valet with unlimited in and out service. It usually took about 15 minutes for the car to be pulled around, so call in advance. All of the employees were all very kind and helpful. My daughter lost her sunglasses somewhere in the city during our adventures and she thought she may have left them in the lobby. The door man looked through all the cushions and was very sweet about it seeing how discouraged she ... Read more

I will never go back to this hotel. Terrible rooms and average service. Dirty, old, found hair everywhere, paint on the carpet, and terribly expensive for what you get. On the plus side; Great location.

Nice place but was overpriced the night I was there. The room was nice but the bed was uncomfortable. I also wish they had room service (particularly for breakfast). That being said, it's a great location, the room was nice and there was a good crowd there.

This is a lovely hotel right in a great location in Chicago. The room was large and the beds were very comfortable. I was a bit disappointed when checking in that the amount to be taken off my card wasn't confirmed first. I was just asked for my card and the email to send the receipt to. I wish I had been informed that the moment were being pre-authorised right then + deposit. Upon check out I was told that they had made a mistake with the original card I put through and so gave them an alter... Read more

It's a small hotel with a cool vibe and lobby decor. Be forewarned there is limited food options (no room service) and the wifi was bad. The room I stayed in was ok. The decor was good but the air conditioning busted multiple times and there was a step down I kept tripping over.

MileNorth is right in the middle of the Magnificent Mile; just a block off of Michigan Avenue. The staff cannot be beat! The front desk staff is courteous, knowledgeable, and very helpful. The bartender, Manny, on the 29th floor bar is over the top! He called us by name each time we came in. Joel and the other bellmen are very good and very anxious to make your stay more enjoyable. Ask for a high room that faces south for the best view. There is a 24-hr Walgreen's just a block and half away that... Read more

Very clean, nice but no room service and no safe in the room. For the price of the room, I expected more. Staff was very nice, check in was easy and so was check out. There was no valet parking offered to us when we pulled up andoing we were directed only to the garage across the street which is $20 more a night for parking than the lot right around the corner. This information would have been helpful to know.

Arrived in morning not expecting to be able to check in. We were offered an immediate check-in if we upgraded from a standard room to a suite at a very reasonable rate of $35. Staff was friendly, helpful, and not once was a staff member more interested in his/her cell phone than us guests. In fact, did not see one staff member with a cell phone. That's a first in our travels! Refreshing! Our stay was excellent!

This hotel is in a great location, right off of Michigan Avenue. Almost everything you would need is in walking distance as well-- including the el train. The folks at the front desk were very nice, and there is a little cafe down in the lobby. Breakfast is not included, but if you walk right out the front door and head south, you'll run into a Dunkin Donuts. There's also Giordano's and Gino's East pizza nearby-- both are great in terms of Chicago Style pizza. Will definitely stay here again

Stayed here for a conference at the medical center and couldn't beat the location. Easy walk to the hospitals as well as to Michigan Ave for shopping. Apart from the location there is little to recommend this hotel. It offers basic but clean accommodation and that is about it. The high price did not reflect the average level of accommodation. No problems with the staff who were generally very helpful. Suggest that a substantial upgrade of the property is considered.
