Good location..with great view of the river. All good attractions and restaurants within 10 minutes of walking. The room was nice with everything you need including umbrellas. The staff was really nice. The river walk is right opposite the hotel. A morning jog along the river walk was quite refreshing. Loved my stay there.

I spent the weekend of May 21'st in Chicago to attend a half marathon. I stayed at the Swissotel on Waker Street. I highly recommend this hotel- clean, very comfortable rooms and a GREAT staff. Cesear, is the NICEST front door man i have ever met. He gave me directions (multiple times!), on how to navigate in Chicago- we will be back to stay with the Swissotel. Thank you! Dina Cocco

Exceptionally clean room, great views from room, room was quite large for a large city (though I traveled with a group so could've been upgraded to a nicer room without my knowledge). A delightful hotel that I would look to stay in again.

Had a great upgrade to a spacious, corner room which had wonderful views. The staff were all helpful. Breakfast is fine and not excessively priced. The Amuse Bar on the ground floor has fun staff but a generally poor menu. The salads were fine but choose carefully.

We upgraded to overlook the Navy Pier and, wow, it was beautiful! Great room with spectacular views. Our check-in lady was so helpful and informative. The pool on the top floor. I had to run to the drugstore and the valet even gave me an umbrella since it was raining! definitely be staying here again!

When we arrived at the hotel with our child and infant, our room was not ready yet which seemed odd to me since we arrived just after the 3pm check in time. The front desk staff was not helpful or accommodating. Essentially, they just told us to wait. After 1.5 hours, we returned to the front desk to ask again if the room was going to be ready soon. They were not even willing to give a balllpark estimate of the wait time. At this point I became a little agitated as we really needed a place to re... Read more

It was difficult to find the location. When we pulled up, they automatically assumed we wanted valet and did not offer otherwise. When we were told it was going to be $70, we asked for our vehicle back and told them we would self park for the $36. They literally had our vehicle for 3 minutes when we asked for it took them 30 minutes to bring it back. We arrived a bit early and were able to check in due to room being available. Our room had 2 Queen beds and had view to south of another hotel, nothing special. Room was comfortable, small fridge, and nice size bathroom. The pool on the 42nd level had great views of the city, river, and Navy Pier. The location was a nice central location. Great service from the valet parking, the check in staff to Bernard who guided us to the Navy Pier and recommended restaurants for us to try. A very knowledgeable man. Our room was right on the corner so we got great views of the river below and Navy Pier in the distance. Great service and great facilities. This hotel is highly recommended. It is conveniently located and allows for a quick run in the morning through the parks and Lakeshore Trail. This is a triangular building so 2/3 of the rooms have views of the river.

For the deal we received I consider this hotel to be very good value for the location and the overall facilities. Our room was large, the furniture seemed relatively new and was in good condition and the room was very clean. The bathroom was also quite large, fairly new and modern and clean. We booked through or something, and it said there was 24 hour check in. However, we realized the day before we left that checkin actually wasn't until 3 on the swissotel website, although that is not necessarily the hotel's fault that the third-party website said that. Really Nice hotel, friendly staff, a couple issues, no charging ports in hotel rooms for phones, tablets, big issue with elevators when too many people are trying to go to their floor. No places to sit and lounge outside of hotel. Also you should not charge paying guests 14.95 pp for internet access. Have never been charged in any hotel. Excellent service, friendly & helpful staff. Beautiful modern hotel. Restaurant and parking on the pricey end, so we got those two elsewhere. Super comfortable beds and beautiful views from rooms!! Well equipped fitness center in the 42 floor and a great view of the river and lake. Hotel is close to the Cloud Gate, aka "the bean" in Millennium Park, just a block away using the underground passages in the hotel. There's a Dunkin Donuts going downstairs from the Lobby (in the Concourse level). Mus... Read more

The river view rooms are worth it - especially if you can be facing Lake Shore, as you have a great view of Navy Pier. You can watch the Saturday evening fireworks from the Fitness Center (open 24/7 by the way.) The pool is very nice and a great temperature (88F) as well as the extra large hot tub. The service here was excellent, the lobby bar was happening ALL the time with Americans and Europeans - made it very interesting and entertaining. We also met a whole wedding group from Canada - fun! ... Read more

This was definitely one o... Read more

Stayed at the Swissotel for 2 nights last week. The room was great both spacious and very clean. Bed was very comfy. Staff was helpful. The pool is on one of the top floors. Go up just for the view - that's what we did. Easy walking distance to the bean and Michigan Ave.

Poor service from the start. Had registered for valet parking. Was ignored upon arrival. Surprised given this is the most expensive valet parking I have ever experienced. Found a place to park, checked in, carried my luggage to my room and returned and finally was able to get the attention of the parking attendant and he thought that I wanted a taxi. Finally got my car checked in and he assured me valet parking included in and out privileges. However, I learned that the was available to me when ... Read more
