Stayed two nights mid-week. This Marriott should not have the JW in front of the name. It's really not at the level you would expect of a JW Marriott property. The Executive lounge is small and cramped. The rooms are in need of an update. The price they were asking for this hotel was about $150 more per night than the Fairmount in Chicago which I moved too and is a MUCH nicer venue. In addition you will pay $68 per night for valet which is standard but you have to load your car in the stre... Read more

Spent almost a week here on a program. All seemed well, until a problem needed to be addressed. I called the AV department at around 10pm and was told they worked only 7am-7pm and that Engineering would solve the issue. I was told that Engineering was on the way. After six calls and 90 minutes of waiting, I gave up. Incredibly frustrating. Then, was at the bar once during the stay. I attempted to order four different beers, but after each attempt was told that the hotel was out of that selecti... Read more

JW Mariott is located 1 block East of the Willis Tower. We rode the NCITD (South Shore Line) from the Dunes State Park. If you get off at Van Buren, you'll have 5 or 6 blocks to walk (not bad on a nice day...taxi from the station area to the hotel was $8.50 for some of our group who couldn't walk). All staff at the hotel were extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms were average size. Bathroom was roomy with double sink, LARGE tub (I didn't get a chance to use it) and nice sized shower. There were ... Read more

I have stayed here four of five times in the past and every time I am reminded what a first class operation this is. Front desk staff were incredibly pleasant and helped to find me a room with a King bed on the Executive Floor. The Executive Lounge was excellent, lots of food choices and incredibly pleasant and helpful staff. Every single person who works at the hotel stops to greet you. Check in and out were swift and painless, room was delightful. One usual pet peeve is not enough lighting... Read more

I got stranded in Chicago during the Stanley Cup finals and there was no other hotel available. I'm so grateful that they had a room and am so sad that my stay there was so short. It's truly a luxury hotel and a lovely place to stay. As an added experience, the night I stayed was the night that the Chicago Blackhawks won and there was a swarm of people outside the hotel in the morning. According to folks outside, the Stanley Cup was in the hotel. If the JW Marriott was good enough to keep s... Read more
