Loved this place!!! Total hipster hotel from the young people behind the front desk to the coffee shop on the lobby!! The lobby reminds me of Central Perk on the TV show a Friends!! Our room was spacious with a pullout. Very comfortable but the air conditioner was a bit loud!! Great location with the best Farmers Market ever a across the street on Saturdays. I arrived late at this hotel after a long day of work. The woman at the front desk could not have been ruder - she was reading my reservation incorrectly and told me that only 1 out of my 3 rooms had checked in (I'm traveling with 2 colleagues who had already checked in, and my fear was that I would either accidentally be let into one of their rooms, or that we'd be charged for an extra room). She insisted over and over (extremely rudely) that only 1 had checked in, even though I knew that not t... Read more

They know hospitality and exceeded my expectations. Not only were they reasonably priced the guest service was phenomenal. The roof top bar is well kept, the view is beautiful, and the attendance from our bar tender, Patrick and JC made me feel at home. So many amazing places to visit inChicago but the hotel Licoln never gave me a reason to leave...when I did I just went back. I will only stay at the Hotel Lincol.

Stayed one night, was well served by a very helpful staff at the front desk. There are hotels with bigger rooms in Chicago, but this is a friendly hotel in a nice neighbourhood. Lincoln park, the Old town and several museums are within walking distance, and downtown can be reached easily by public transportation.

My husband and I arrived around 9am on our first day, and the friendly and helpful desk staff had a room ready for us already. The room was small but immaculate in decor and cleanliness - I was not expecting how much I loved the 'look' of everything in this hotel. We went downstairs and grabbed a quick bite to eat from Elaine's coffee shop, where there was the tiniest mix-up of our order, but which resulted in the manager bringing us up to the rooftop to show us the patio and the view of the lak... I stayed at Hotel Lincoln based on existing reviews and what was in my travel budget for business. I don't stay in the city often when I travel for business so I'm always a little concerned of what I'll get for the money since rates are so much higher. The first thing I will say that really impressed me about this place was how friendly everyone was! I seriously don't think I've ever gotten this kind of treatment. I had high expectations for this hotel based on the price ($500 ballpark) and location. We had a "Jr Suite" which is a 1 room that is big enough to accommodate a bed and pull out sofa, with 2 bathrooms which was nice. However, the sliding doors to the bathroom were quite difficult to open and close, they did not slide easily at all. The elevators motivated me to want to take the stairs, the carpet left me speechless (photo). The decor, albeit eclectic and trendy, it looks like the cast of Bar... Read more

For those of you that are looking for a hotel close to everything, but not in the congested Michigan Avenue area, this is the BEST hotel. My first stay on July 11 proved to be great. Charlie was awesome he greeted me at the desk & was friendly, helpful and even offered to place my restaurant order for my room as they were about ready to close the kitchen. The hotel was quiet, clean and close to Old Town. The next day I checked out and Edgar was also friendly, helpful on directions too. I'll be staying there again on my next visit.

What a terrific choice staying at Hotel Lincoln Chicago was! It was recommended by a local and from what I can tell isn't too well know to out of town guests. That is a shame. From the amazing front desk gentlemen with exceptional service and great personalities to the incredible rooftop bar and restaurant this hotel does not disappoint. Located close to everything you need! The decor and atmosphere was fun and unique and truly felt like a getaway. Although this was my first trip to Chicago and ... Read more

The hotel Lincoln is located on Lincoln Park in a leafy area of town. It is not dead central, but we walked to the centre everyday and found staying here ideal - we would have found central Chicago too built up. You get a choice of park view or lake view for your room. We chose park as it was a bit cheaper and I think that was all that was left when we booked. We thought that would mean we were on a different side of the hotel, but the difference is height of the room. If you are higher up, you ... Read more

The Lincoln Hotel was quirky and fun --not your cookie cutter hotel like every other one that you've used. We loved the location and found it to be clean and comfortable. However, it is an old building! They have done an excellent job creating a boutique environment, but the elevator is slow and the ice machine on our floor did not work, and the air conditioner unit could be loud. I had contact with 4 staff members at the desk. They were all helpful and pleasant, but Olen gets a shout out a... Read more

My husband and I stayed here for a few nights at the start of our honeymoon. Unfortunately we were not given any honeymoon extras like we received in other hotels but we had a comfortable bed and were in a handy location for a walk or quick uber downtown. I like the staff uniforms with the cool braces and check shirts. The staff were very helpful. The J.Parker rooftop bar attracts a lot of people in. Probably most suited to younger people but we didn't experience any noise as a result of it. We ... Read more

We (2 adults) enjoyed our stay at this fantastic hotel . We had a quick 2-day trip with plans for shows at IO Theater. The front desk, Van, was exceptional; friendly, genuine and professional. Everything was ready, the room was nice and cold on a hot August day and the location is great. A quick walk to Lake Michigan, this hotel is superb for the price. My wife and I enjoyed a rooftop happy hour with a spectacular view. Be mindful it's an older hotel, but we knew that going in and would book ... Read more

Medium size boutique hotel, historic ambiance, great location, great restaurant, happening roof-top bar. Very attentive, professional and personable staff. Made us feel like old friends from the first moment.

Chose this hotel randomly for convenience and price. Such a great find! Smallish rooms, but clean and comfortable. Staff was beyond friendly and helpful! Rooftop bar and restaurant (we had brunch) were fabulous! I'd stay again in a heartbeat.

This is an ok hotel in a great location, but needs work,, It tries to be a boutique hotel, but is a pale version of one. Nice touches that you normally see in boutique hotels are non-existent, even the water downstairs is always empty or no cups. The rooms need updating, the halls, everything. There is an ok vibe here, but for almost $350/night I could have stayed in a much nicer hotel. And, if you are not under 30, the drunk crowds from the rooftop invade the lobby and elevators, Could tr... Read more

Great experience. Very cool rooftop bar, great restaurant. The rooms were a little on the small side, but that's as to be expected for the city. The bathroom door doesn't lock, it's a sliding door. Could be an issue for some but didn't bother me.

My fiancé found this place when we were putting together a package to goto a Cubs game. Its literally across the street from the southern end of Lincoln park zoo. The check in was a breeze. The staff was very cool from top to bottom. We sampled 2 of the 3 on site restaurants (the rooftop restaurant was a little too "young" for us but we heard good things about it.) The coffee shop quickly became our daily launch point after the main restaurant while very good overall, was a little pricey for e... Read more
