This is a great hotel. The location is fantastic-so close to the Magnificent Mile and an easy 15/20 minute walk to Navy Pier. There are lots of places to eat within 1 minutes walk of the hotel (Shake Shack, Big Bowl, Starbucks, PF Changs). There is also a supermarket (Jewel Osco) within a stone's throw of the hotel. The rooms are great-modern and spacious. There is also a little kitchen in each room with a microwave, fridge/freezer, hob and dishwasher. The hotel's pool and gym are also good-t... Read more

My friend and I spent five nights during Book Expo America and I found it to be the most comfortable and accommodating hotel I've ever stayed at--in fact, I found it darn near perfect, and that's coming off a five-week road trip. I booked through the convention's website, and from the week before my stay when I called the hotel directly to change my credit card to the time I checked out, I received nothing but excellent service. We were assigned a room on the 19th floor and were thrilled to fin... Read more

Perfect location to visit Chicago, the Magnificent Mile (asa Michigan Avenue) is right round the corner. The suites are very comfortable and spacious, wifi and TV available in all rooms, clean and tide up so well every day. My car broke down in the ramp the first day I arrived, the whole valet staff helped me throughout the ordeal. It was just me and my 2 kids, so this was pretty intimidating, but they helped me get it out of the ramp, even trying several times to jump the car and get it running. They pushed it out of the garage from the 5th level so it can get towed and helped me manage the towing and mechanics services. This was the worst experience I have ever had. This hotel did the bare minimum during our stay. The check-in/out area is too small...we waited in line both times. We paid extra for the American Girl experience, which was wonderful at another Hilton Hotel, but not here. For the additional $200/night, the girls got some cookies and a bed...that is it. There was no welcome letter, no special treatment...other hotels turned down the beds, set the dolls up, overall made the girls feel special. ... Read more

When I checked in to my room, it wreaked of urine. After a of couple calls to the manager and two visits from the care taker I was given a new room. No upgrade, no apology, nothing. The new room had a broken a/c and wouldn't cool down. When checking out the staff could given a care about the room. The new decor was modern and outstanding. Although the rooms weren't huge, they were spacious for an urban hotel, and the updates made good use of space. The location of the Homewood Suites is just perfect. Stroll out and be right in the thick of it with all the shops, restaurants etc near by. The suite was decent, I believe it had been newly renovated (although didn't seem like the lounge/diner had, just the bedroom and bathroom). Seemed we had a spacious bedroom & bathroom but the lounge was so so. I am also deducting a point as I specifically called ahead to ask them to have the sofa bed made up but there was no record of it. When we asked th... Read more

I purchased the stay & park package, which was a much better price than other suite style rooms in the area. The rooms were plenty big enough; friendly, helpful staff & valets; better than average free breakfast; excellent location. We had a small issue with the sheets, but housekeeping fixed it right away. The only other negative was lots of street noise on the 8th floor, but I suppose that comes with the great location. We'll definitely stay here again.

I needed to get to the airport quickly to make my flight. Amir not only pumped up my tire, but then drove it to a local shop and had it repaired. Amir didn't ask for a Penny just quickly loaded my bags and got me out so I could make my flight. This is the type of service you don't see anymore. Thank you Amir and thank you Homewood Suites CHicago G... Read more

The Homewood Suites in Downtown Chicago is a very convenient base for the city. The building is nice, rooms well decorated and comfortable. It is just a shame that the staff experience is not on par with the facility. They seem not to care. I had to keep asking for missing essentials in the room. And the check in and out was not a friendly experience. I won't be staying there again.

I stayed here for 8 nights to attend a conference at McCormick place. The room was comfortable and clean, kitchenette was pretty reasonable (although I didn't use it!). The included breakfast is a useful bonus and the food was decent but not mind blowing. There are heaps of bars and restaurants within easy walking distance, and Eataly next door is amazing! Shops and Michigan Ave are nearby and only a couple of minutes walk to get to the red subway line. The staff were friendly and helpful. For t... Read more

The location of this hotel was excellent, I couldn't imagine it will be so in the middle of everything. The breakfast was very nice, fruits, cereal, eggs, milk, juice, etc more than enough to start a great day in Chicago Downtown, if you want more than that many restaurants a just less than 1 block on any direction.

Rooms were large and well appointed. Great location, near red line and mag mile. Friendly staff. Breakfast included is a great feature when travelling with kids. The evening social was also a lovely touch that made the hotel seem to have a personal touch

This was by far the worst stay at a Hilton brand hotel that I have ever experienced. There was construction going on in the building which started prior to 6:00am and went throughout the day/evening. There was no information relating to this inconvenience on the website, nor was this communicated over the phone. My family was awoken by construction noise at 5:00 am and my children were unable to nap during the day. When we notified the front desk of this inconvenience, they were unwilling to mov... Read more

Our family of four stayed at this property for two nights, for a quick trip to visit friends in Chicago. Inexplicably, after the first night of staying on the Executive (19th) floor, no one ever cleaned our room. When I called to complain and ask for new towels and soap/shampoo, a worker came by and told us that the room was never cleaned because our "Do Not Disturb" sign had been on the door all day, which I know what not true. Then, a second worker knocked on our door and told us not to compla... Read more

The chief selling points for this hotel, for me, are the staff (addressing me by name after several months away), the full kitchenettes (drinking coffee from an actual ceramic cup) and the two-room layout of all the suites (I wake up before my husband, and there's somewhere for me to work other than the bedroom).

Excellent location just off Michigan Avenue. Beautiful, newly remodeled rooms. Great hot breakfast, all day coffee and evening reception is a full dinner! Lovely 6th floor lobby. Pool and work out room both just enough.
