I always enjoy staying at Hilton Garden Inns. This hotel was very clean and the staff was friendly. There is a Weber Grill located in the hotel and found the breakfast great and the dinners were fantastic. Good location if you have business near by.

This is where I like to stay in the River North area of Chicago. If you use the CTA Red Line this hotel is located at the top of the NE stairs of the Grand stop (Grand & State). In bad weather only a few steps outside are needed to reach the covered entrance. A friendly staff awaits you at the reception desk, buffet breakfast, and dinner at the Weber Grill, connected through the lobby. Guest floors and rooms all renovated about 2 years ago, still fresh and rooms are clean. Small coffee bar ... Read more

Stayed here for two nights. The location is excellent. You are within walking distance of many Chicago attractions. The hotel was very clean and the staff was very friendly. Took the L back to Midway to get a rental - the L entrance is literally steps away from the hotel door it was perfect! This will be my first choice when I get a chance to return.

I stayed here while attending a conference in Chicago. The hotel is centrally located and very walkable to all of the main attractions and the river. There is a train station just across the street, making it very convenient to get to from Medway Airport. Staff were courteous. The room was spacious enough. Views were not anything to write home about. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom good without being decadent. Wifi is free. I paid approximately $1000 for 3 nights and this did not inc... I travel frequently to Chicago for business and I normally stay at the Marriot with a history of positive experiences, but this time I decided to try the HGI. In general, the location and cleanliness of the place is great, but unfortunately the customer service is not at all at the same level. This was the first time I experienced such poor service at a Hilton, the front desk team simply lacks motivation. They are rude and not willing to help, with the worst experience of this visit being with a... Read more

This hotel shows signs of aging. The air conditioner broke at 3:00 AM in the morning. Initially the front desk checked to see if a fan was available. After saying this wasn't acceptable, they put me in another room. That air conditioner performed poorly also. A repair person came out to fix it. It never did fully cool the room. There were not valet staff available when I pulled in just a little after 3:00 pm. You would think they would insure someone would be outside to help guests. Made to orde... Read more

First the positives - the location is good for restaurants and shopping, it looks like there is a subway station right outside and the rooms are a decent size. Now the negatives - very poor sound proofing, the doors are flimsy and you can hear every conversation going on in the hallway outside. The walls are not much better, I could hear every word of the tv program the guest in the room next door was watching. And now for the absolute biggest negative - the air conditioning. It was a wall unit... Read more

I've always had good experiences at Hilton Garden Inns and this one didn't disappoint. The hotel was in the perfect location and we walked almost every where we needed to go. If I must complain, it would be that the towels were extremely rough and the air conditioning unit in my room was rather loud. Sodas are $3.00 from the vending machines. Great location, near MI Ave and not far from the River. Room was very spacious and had a small fridge and microwave. Staff were very friendly. Late check out policy was a little more stringent than I would have liked, but overall very good hotel. Parking was pricey (not unusual for Chicago) - valet was a lot and self park is just in the city lots that are part of the block the hotel is in. Overall, a nice hotel I would go back to.

Couldn't get the temp in the room regulated, even with engineer coming in; front desk staff wasn't always the friendliest. Love Reginold - great service! Weber Grill restaurant - Igor was a great server but the hostesses needs to smile more. Breakfast was a normal Hilton garden inn breakfast with deep fried potatoes, eggs and made to order omelets. Valet parking too expensive.

Rooms with king beds are relatively small, but have huge, hard wooden bed frames with sharp corners. With a narrow space between the bed frame and the chest with drawers, banging your leg against the bed frame is almost inevitable. The staff told me they hear from people who banged their knees on a regular basis. I left this place with two bruised knees.

I do have two complaints about the room: the wood corners of the bed frame...watch your shins, I whacked mine twice, my wife once and daughter once. Chicago hotels must have it all in order to serve such a demanding tourist crowed with so many choices to choose from. The rooms are spacious and modern. Staff is very service oriented. Its located in the heart of the Magnificent Mile so . its close to dining, entertainment, and close to Navy Pier, and all the must see places in Chicago. I had a good stay and would recommend it!

Great location around mag mile. Great view of state street. Walking distance to many attractions. Only complaint is shower would only get warm. Overall very good stay, would give it an excellent review if there was sufficient hot water.

I looked at the reviews of this hotel before I booked and it lived up to the expectations. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were a good size and the amenities were on par with other hotels in the area I have stayed. It is central to Michigan Ave and restaurants around the city.

Came to Chicago for Thanksgiving and stayed at the Hilton Harden Inn on Grand Ave. Great rate only $77 plus taxes for the night. Parking very expensive, $68 per night. Desmond checked us in and he was awesome. Very welcoming and friendly. Looked for our type of room on the highest possible floor. Just a really nice person. Looks like the hotel has been totally remodeled. Our room was very nice and clean. Only issue that we had was that the HVAC system stopped working overnight. A short but ve... Read more

Rooms are spacious and include a coffee maker plus a microwave. Nice cosy bed and pillows. Depending on location of the room, this hotel offers amazing and breath-taking views of the city's skyline. All the major fashion outlets and shopping options at a walking distance. Lots of great restaurants ranging from Pizzeria's to Brazilian steakhouses are also at max a 10 minute walk away. Definitely a great option for business and tourism purposes

Wonderful stay. Location is so very convenient to Mag Mile and surrounding eateries. Room showed some signs of wear, but overall very good, clean and comfortable. Pool is quite small, but exercise area is well appointed. Parking next door is quite convenient, and Weber's Grill adjacent to the lobby is a plus, always a good meal. Alma at the front desk is the best!

Great place! When you think of navigating your way through the Magnificent Mile during the holidays, let alone staying there, you may think " can't touch that", But staying at The Hilton Garden Inn Magnificent Mile has been a very pleasant surprise. The Hotel is tucked away in a nice piece of real estate in the heart of the mile. Great staff, very attentive, with clean rooms, and it doesn't hurt that there is a Weber Grill on Deck! Come on. Great time time in the city for the Matriarchs vi... Read more

The hotel itself looked great and was in a great location for an amazing price. I was on the 18th floor in a king room for 4 nights and couldn't complain about not one night. Weber grill downstairs in the lobby was so so good. I ate and had drinks there every night. Pool and jacuzzi area was nice and cozy in size. Very clean. Housekeepers were very nice. I don't have any complaints at all. If I go back to Chicago for an extended time, I'll definitely stay here again.

Standard fare for a HGI with an attached "Weber" restaurant for their food. Gym on the 12th floor and a good front entrance convention for being picked up and staying out of cold/wet weather Rooms were find but the A/C units were old style and noisy for both heat and cooling

Perfect location! 1 minute walk to Eataly and Nordstrom. Comfort and quality you expect from a Hilton. Reggie, the bellman, was incredibly helpful and personable! He made us feel like we had a home away from home. We will be back!

Had a destination Thanksgiving in Chicago with family traveling from all over. The hotel was clean and the staff members were great. We also thought the location was great as there were many restaurants in the area as well as close proximity to shopping.
