My husband and I stayed in Chicago from Tuesday through Sunday. Reading all the reviews, I ended up picking this hotel. I am glad, I did. I couldn't be happier. The location was great. It is centered in the Loop and right around the corner from two "L" (subway lines) Shopping, drugstores, Starbucks and banks are near by. The hotel staff was amazing. Angel and Gabby were great.Their attention to detail made the experience to Chicago perfect. We were soo happy we picked this hotel. The room it... Read more

I'm keeping this Hampton Inn on my list of hotels to check first. The staff was great and helpful. We decided to do take-out and ate in the breakfast area and they let us grab some knives, forks and napkins. Better than eating in the room. It's just off the Blue line from O'Hare which made it easy to get to. Walk to local dining and attractions.

Really great hotel, great amenities, and really located centrally to the City of Chicago sites. It is an additional perk that it's located in the heart of Chicago's old Historic Theater District, and is itself a historic building!

Valet staff is extremely disrespectful, rude, unaware of surroundings or customer service skills. Our particular room was dirty upon arrival. The rooms itself are decently sized, great height on the ceilings but there are no "upgraded" rooms or suites so you get exactly the same as everyone else. The wifi kept going in and out. Overall, there are much better hotels in the area.

We love this hotel, usually- Hampton Inn Majestic, Chicago. We've stayed three times for holiday weekends. It's in a great location near fun shopping, dining, theater, millenium park, etc. The rooms are nice, the breakfast is great. We've usually had good service experiences, but this last stay for Memorial Day weekend was disappointing in that regard. We showed up at noon to check in on Saturday just on the off chance that our room was ready, which we knew it probably wouldn't be. It wasn't, wh... Read more

Chose this hotel due to location near the public transportation and nearby attractions (Art Institute, Parks, etc..). Would definitely stay here again.

The room was large and pretty quiet for being in a big city. It was in a great location - we walked everywhere on State St. and Michigan Avenue. The room was larger than expected and the morning breakfast was nice to have. the price was less than you would expect in Chicago for the quality of the hotel.

The Hampton Inn Majestic provides excellent value for a hotel in the heart of Chicago Loop - just minutes from Chicago Art Institute, Chicago Architectural Foundation and Skydeck. The hearty breakfast with fresh fruit, yogurt and eggs gets you off to great start in historic theater building. Hard to find a better base for touring Chicago!

I've been staying in downtown Chicago hotels about weekly for the last 6 months, and this is hands-down the quietest hotel I've stayed in. For an older property, the rooms and systems (AC, plumbing) work GREAT, and the location is fantastic if you need to be in the Loop. Very comfortable and perfectly located for what we wanted to see and do. Love the fact that it is in an older building, re-purposed from office to hotel and sharing with an active theatre. Walk around the corner to hop on the bus or the Red Line, 2 blocks for the other "colors." Building renovation across the street was noisy from 7 am until about 9:15 pm, but that is not the Hampton Inn's fault at all. And it's temporary.

The Hampton Majestic was a perfect location for us travelling on business. It gave us a vantage point to walk to many nearby touristy locations on the limited free time we had as well as to be able to savor the local food fare without having to contend with the traffic. If I ever head back to Chicago I would have no problem staying here again. It was noisy throughout the night from traffice, but imagine many of the hotels in that location probably suffer from that as well.

The staff was very cheerful. The breakfast nice and rooms with tall ceilings had a fun historic flare. It was nice to read a little about the history of the building being the tallest in Chicago when it was built.

I stayed for two weeks because it was near my customer. It was affordable but had a lot of issues. The floor wasn't level. The room had bed bugs (in fairness they are a problem even when hotels are diligent). There was no washer & dryer facility on-site.

Initially chose this hotel based on reviews from TripAdvisor as well as it provided a great location, breakfast, wifi and coffee in the room. The place exceeded all expectations. Yes, it did not have a concierge, thick fluffy towels, or expensive toiletries but none of that was needed for our 5 day trip to explore the city. Folks at the desk were helpful in getting tickets for activities and providing other info. Would definitely stay here again as it also did not break the bank!

The good - free coffee, hot chocolate available at any time in the lobby. Breakfast was diverse and available each morning for free. Coffee was available in the rooms. Wifi was free and worked fine. The room was spacious, clean, very quiet. The staff were professional and friendly. The bad - well, there really wasn't anything bad. I had an excellent experience. My specifics - I was there for business, so the location was great and close to my daily destination. There was a lounge and restaurant ... Read more

Amazing stay at hotel connected to theater playing "Hamilton" in Chicago. The service all around was top notch. The room was clean and comfortable, it was a fair price and in an area just a few blocks from the Lakeshore as well! If you are coming to see "Hamilton" this is the best place to stay! The breakfast options were good - all of the staff were helpful and friendly. I would stay here again and recommend it to friends/family :)

This hotel was very centrally located! We walked everywhere from the hotel including the the museum area, the parks, the trains, etc. The building is really cool.. it's attached to a historic theater that was playing Hamilton. I believe the hotel building is historic as well. The rooms were very typical of Hampton Inns: clean, spacious, comfy beds. The check in and breakfast area were clean. I did not try the breakfast because you are in Chicago, you should go out to eat! The staff was friend... Read more

If you're staying in Chicago to see Hamilton you can't find a better place to stay. Take the elevator to the ground floor, walk a few feet, turn left and you're in the theater. The hotel staff is great and very accommodating. The room clean and quiet. Breakfast was plentiful. Valet parking was easy. Have already made reservations to return to this great hotel. We loved this Hampton and Hamilton so much we're coming back soon.

We were very happy with the location of the hotel. We were able to walk from Union Station after taking teh Amtrak in and never needed a car to get anywhere. Plenty of places to eat (expensive, moderate and cheap) and plenty of drug stores and shopping. Art and parks were close. The only negative thing that I experienced was they charge a hold on your credit card and although we said we did not drive they still included the cost of parking ($60 a night) on the hold for the credit card company... Stayed here for work and liked it. Getting to where you need to go is somewhat confusing if no one from the valet is standing there to direct you. The elevators seemed small and temperamental as well. Other than that the place seems to be kept up and the staff is very nice. I noticed returning guests were called by name and they seemed happy to be there. It's in walking distance to many restaurants and shopping.

We stayed at the Hampton Inn Majestic for the Chicago Marathon. It was conveniently located to a Target for our pre-race needs and we could walk to the start. They had an early breakfast for those of us running in the marathon. The room was large enough for my husband and I and we were on the 15th floor so street noise was not a problem. We did have a toilet issue but Jose resolved it very quickly and he was very friendly. We would definitely stay here again.

This hotel is located right next door to the theater, right around the corner from the subway line to O'Hare and is a great location to explore downtown Chicago. It is also easy walking distance to the Chicago River (about 3-4 blocks) and the Lake (about 8 blocks), so a good location to explore. This hotel is in a fabulous location where you can walk to everything! We came to see the symphony and was a short easy walk. Lots of great restaurants and shopping close as well. When we left, my son realized he had left his watch in the room. I called and was connected to housekeeping. They went to the room and searched -- found the watch under a dresser! They called me immediately and sent it out by mail very quickly. My son was so thankful as this was his favorite! Great service!

This is a fine hotel for downtown Chicago. If you're going into Chicago to see Hamilton there is no better place to stay as the Private Bank Theater is the ground floor of the building, and there is an attached entrance from the ground floor of the hotel to the theater. This hotel has a good location (theatre district), the staff is helpful but is a old hotel in much need of renovations. Breakfast is average. The building itself looks like a heritage building, has the private bank theatre just downstairs (always plenty of people - Hamilton - is showing there) this area is a busy place all the time. Is in the loop so transportion is handy (even to the airport there is direct train). The room was very 'crumped', the bathroom old style, no safe in the room.

All in all, a nice hotel for the price.
