No valet or bellman present in the middle of the afternoon when we pulled up to the hotel. Parked out front and checked in, Still not entirely sure if hotel has a valet or bellman. Self park was fine but a little confusing in terms of how you pay for it. Check in went smoothly but room had housekeeping problem (see photo of hair ball). Numerous hair balls on wood floor and hair in bathroom. Hotel moved us to a second room, but we found similar problem with fewer hairballs. Offered a third... Read more

I stayed in this hotel during the month of March during one of my business trips. I had stayed in other downtown hotels in past and wanted to try out this place and it did not disappoint me. The first point that I need to mention about this hotel is the location. It is at walking distance to all major attractions in Chicago. There are tonnes of restaurants with in half a mile. Coming to the hotel it self, the lobby is good (It is not very luxurious but who cares). The rooms are large (not extra... Read more

from check in to check out had a great stay. rooms are big, beds are comfortable, everything worked. Bathroom door is glass with no lock, lacking some privacy as door does not go to bottom or top, looks very nice though. Coffee in the rooms plus small fridge with 2 bottles of water. liked the gym, enough there for me to get a workout. pool was 85 degrees, a little cool for me for an in door pool. Sat outside the pool area on comfortable furniture. staff extremely helpful with restaurants ideas a... Read more

Ok here's the deal. Excellent location, small hotel, ease of getting in/out of, downtown Chicago........need I say more? Part of the Marriott program, AC hotels originated in Madrid, which I have stayed at their locations on business travel for years. I love smaller hotels that you can get in and out of in mere minutes......rooms size able and efficient. Bathrooms not great size but what you would expect in Downtown Chicago. Definitely will return. Staff great. 4th floor cocktail lounge in e... Read more

AC Hotel Chicago is a relatively recently renovated hotel in the very clean, tidy, and uncluttered European style. The rooms are spacious and well-equipped with a mini-'fridge, coffee maker, safe, and comfortable beds. The reception staff were all very pleasant and provided suggestions and advice; they even helped us uncork our bottles of wine with the wall corkscrew in the lobby. There were two computers in the bright and spacious lobby with printers for printing boarding passes There was al... Read more

Stayed here during a convention just for one night. It's very minimalistic but served it's purpose. The bar area on the 4th floor is nice, and the room was clean. My room had a faux wood floor, but I enjoyed that. The only issue with the room was that it was very dark. My room didn't have a view, so maybe if I had a room that overlooked a street it may have been brighter. The lobby is tiny, and it's a very limited hotel, even more so than a Courtyard Marriott. If you have a crazy schedule and... Read more

First time at this hotel in Chicago, and actually first time in an AC hotel in US. It is very much as AC hotels in Europe, which I used to like very much. Always clean, modern and stylish hotels, this is just the same. The room very nice, comfy and good size, and overall facilities look new and modern. The hotel location is perfect, just a couple of blocks away from Michigan Ave and very close to the river, you could not ask for a better place in Chicago. So it is a good place if you are on busi... I found the hotel to be very good, and as stated - on european standard -for simple design, extremely functional room. The staff was exceptionally welcoming upon arrival and very accommodating when something (i.e. extended checkout) was requested. The breakfast was ample and pleasantly staffed. comfortable furnishings, ample bathroom amenities replaced daily. Room was quiet and very clean. It is a good option if you don't like crazy busy large convention hotels.

Enjoyed my three night stay in Chicago over Memorial Day! The entire staff was awesome! The bartender (can't remember his name, but I've seen other review mention him) was awesome and made a great gin and tonic. The front desk was great and very helpful with recommendations. When we were leaving, a nice housekeeper in the hallway offered us a bottle of water for our travels. The doorman also gave us a sincere "thank you" for staying with AC Hotel. The only things I didn't care much for were th... Read more

We had a family reunion in town and all stayed at this hotel so as to be centrally located to tourist activities and to the El in order to get to Cubs games. On one of the evenings I organized a family event for everyone --20 people, three generations-- in the AC Lounge (4th floor lounge with lots of windows; same room where the happy hour and the hotel breakfast take place). Through Sydney in the hotel's banquet department were able to arrange a Saturday night Chicago-style pizza party in fron... Read more

Stayed there for a night on a business trip was a very good experience. First the design of the hotel is really modern clean beautiful. The rooms were also really nice. From the tile bathroom and shower to the wood floors and blue mood lighting under the tv stand and bench. The location is great in the heart of the city. Well within walking distance to the river and most of downtown. Very nice indoor pool and fitness center as well. Also the mattress was very good.

I liked this hotel, the rooms were very clean and the style is stylish and minimal. The front desk agents were quick and efficient. The bar has USB port to charge your phone while you have a view of the city. Breakfast was a bit pricey and since I'm gluten free there wasn't really much for me. When the server asked me if everything was fine, I explained that I was having breakfast because my friend was, but I really didn't want to pay $15 for fruit and yogurt. The server got the kitchen manager,... Read more

My reviews attempt to take into consideration the expectation one should have given the price paid. In light of the fact my total bill for one night in the Windy City, including parking, was 213 dollars, how can I give this hotel anything but 5 stars. The staff was extremely friendly. They had my room available for check in at 10:22 am the day of check in. The room was minimalist to be sure, but all you need for a quick trip in the City. The breakfast was fantastic - many options from oatmea... Read more

The rooms and beds are nice; service was great; the view from our room on 7th floor was the side of another building, so nothing special; parking ramp was safe and the hotel seemed secure; however, parking and hotel bar were expensive ($6-7 for a small can of beer).

We stayed in this hotel in June for a week during the Chicago Blues Festival. It is perfectly placed just a block off the Magnificent Mile (Michigan Av.) and within walking distance of most things holiday makers would want to see. The hotel amenities are excellent and the staff are very helpful and friendly. The room was on the 5th. floor and was clean & tidy although noisy at night, but then Chicago is a noisy city and you're right in the heart of things. What was annoying was the inconsistency... I stayed at the AC Hotel from 7/1-7/4. I actually chose the hotel after an exhaustive search for my family reunion. I was not familiar with the hotel but from my first inquiry all the up to the last day of my stay, the hotel's staff provided exemplary service. Everyone from the front desk team to the housekeeping staff to my main contacts who helped me create and then execute the perfect family reunion weekend were truly awesome. This place was awesome. Right in the middle of the hustle and bustle of downtown Chicago. The accommodations were very modern and stylish. I will definitely stay here again on my next trip to Chi Town. Strongly recommend this place with one little drawback, it was kind of pricey, but that was to be expected during the July 4th weekend.

We recently switched our business hotel to the AC, and had a group of 12 there this week. The rooms (especially beds) were great, and the service was on point. Brian at the 4th floor lounge was awesome. He makes an exquisite Manhattan, make sure to ask for one. All in all, looking forward to returning in a few weeks!

My wife and I stayed here for four nights. We didn't use any of the amenities or eat breakfast there, but I can't think of a single thing that would have made this a better stay. Our room was clean and spacious, and had an HD TV and a very comfy bed. There were USB ports on both sides of the bed (see photo) and at the desk. 2 fresh bottles of water each day in the in room fridge. Shower only, but a very good one. Staff was friendly.
