Nice hotel and good location near loop but front desk staff testy and banquet hall staff very rude. Not what is usual at other Fairmont properties where the service is impeccable. Not sure why the Chicago one doesn't measure up.

The room was very loud, the furniture was old, dingy and worn out. The bed was concave in the center and had dirty sheets the last night of my stay. My stay was for 4 nights, and after the first night I wish I could have moved hotels. I won't stay here again nor will I recommend it to others.

Fairmont Gold service and concierge Gail Walker made this one of our top three hotel stays...ever. Gail picked great restaurants, even debating them with us and refining the list, starting on the phone the week before we arrived for a four night stay that was partly business but mostly tourist. We were intrigued by the architectural boat tour Gail suggested and would do it again in an instant. The Gold lounge staff were attentive and friendly, but respectful. Service we will never forget!

Amazing service all around. Valet was easy to access and courteous, our check in experience was streamlined with a complimentary suite upgrade, and the amenities were spectacular. The restaurant and lounge services were also wonderful- so much so we never left the hotel for food or drinks. The customer service was consistently wonderful. I would most definitely recommend this hotel and stay there again.

you can't beat the location that overlooks Millenium Park and is perfectly situated for both business in the Central City, as well as holidays. The hotel itself is a little bit outdated - although my room was comfortable, the older A/C was a bit annoying to sleep through.

My first stay at a Fairmont and it was excellent. The room was immaculate, and had a great view of the city scape. Staff is unobtrusive but were quickly available when I needed them. The location close to Millennial Park and the River North neighborhood could not have been better. The only location issue is that when on foot, if you want to travel north to cross the river, there is a mean set of stairs to descend down to a lower level and cross the bridge. Coming back from a conference and ... Read more

Obviously hotels in downtown Chicago can run on the pricey side, but I found this one provides a wonderful stay for a very reasonable price when compared to its peers. Our rooms were very comfortable (few hotels have beds this nice) and well appointed. In addition, the location is very convenient for getting to all of the places in Chicago you'd like to see. Not sure you can get anything cleaner or more comfortable for the price in downtown Chicago.

The Chicago Millennium is a solid 3-star hotel, but don't expect the exceptional service and immaculate guest rooms that you get a Fairmont Hotels in other cities, particularly in Canada. We travelled to Chicago in August 2016 for 5 days. We had never been and it was on our bucket list. The Fairmont is right downtown at Millennium Park. We took the subway from O'Hare (blue line to Clark and Lake Station) and walked 7 blocks down Lake to the hotel. Very convenient . We had a suite on the gold floor with views over Millennium Park and Lake Michigan. Very central location for walking although we took a hop-on hop-off bus pass. Price is where you would expect it for a downtown property of this caliber. The location is excellent we were able to walk to just about everywhere we wanted to go except out to the burbs for some dive joints. Staff is friendly and professional if not a little stuffy, but again expected.
