We had a great experience - the hotel was clean, the room was nice, and the staff was SUPER friendly and helpful! The room was not huge so it's a great place if the room is not the center of your stay. The location was very convenient as well to all that Chicago has to offer!

I was staying here with a friend and her child. I go to Chicago a good amount for work and I'm surprised I never paid attention to this place. I usually stay at the intercontinental, but I'm sold on Fairfield for many reasons. My friend drove us here and she opted to valet the car. You literally pull up and pop out. She opted for overnight parking. The tricky thing is timing it. You have to call the front desk like 15 min ahead of time so they can retrieve your vehicle. There was one time she ... Read more

We spent a weekend in Chicago to see the sights, do some dining and take in a Cubs game. The Fairfield is centrally located in the River North area and is convenient to the Red Line for easy access to all parts of the city. Book a suite and enjoy the extra space. The staff is friendly and very helpful. You cannot go wrong. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Staff were very friendly and service was excellent - especially Danielle on the front desk! Location was close to the Magnificant Mile and restaurants. Conveneience stores and other facilities nearby too. Breakfast was great - lots of options. There was a large group of us and the hotel were very accommodating. Located opposite a fire station so we were worried about noise but I have to say, we didn't hear any noise on 17th floor.

This hotel is right next to RPM, a famous restaurant founded by the first winner of "The apprentice" Bill Rancic. It is also located a walking distance from Michigan Ave bridge and is surrounded by stores, restaurants etc. The breakfast was really complete, they had oatmeal, eggs, sausage links, bagels, muffins, whole fruit, sweet bread, cereals, yogurts, juice and coffee. The only think that could be considered a downside was that they charge $49 for self parking your car for 24 hrs and $62 for... Read more

Really enjoyed the stay at this budget option in River North, Chicago. Fantastic location, lots of bars and restaurants all within walking distance. Very welcoming, friendly and helpful front desk staff. Room was clean, reasonable size, well thought out and had everything needed for a quick overnight stay. You can blow a lot of cash staying in downtown Chicago. I'll be using this option from now on.

My husband and I were so happy with our stay. The price for the area was actually really great! We had so many great places to go all right around the corner. It is dead center in downtown. The valet even had great service. We have nothing but good things to say. Even when my husband and I decided to change our plans and had to extend our time there only by a few hours. They made sure we didn't feel like it was an inconvenience. So over all... just a great experience!

The location of this hotel made it easy to navigate to multiple places in the city. Fairly close to mass transit, easy to catch a cab if needed. Great breakfast, very friendly staff. The only problem was that one elevator was out of service. The hotel made the service elevator available to guests, but the wait was sometimes very long. Our rate seemed a little pricey, but that may have been because we did not book until rather close to our travel dates.

This hotel is a fabulous value! The staff is very friendly and helpful. Our room was completely updated and bed was comfortable. The room was not huge but it accommodated our family of 5 nicely. The only reason I gave it 4/5 was because the air mattress provided a roll away didn't hold air. The free breakfast is a huge savings for my family and the self parking is fairly convenient.

The rooms are small, but are clean, and offer all you need. Recommended.

Loved this hotel and we keep coming back to stay at this hotel every time. I loved the fact that it's across from the Chicago Firefighter Department and we feel like we have breakfast with them every morning. This hotel is close to everything we wanted to visit both times in Chicago. Highly recommended this hotel!!

The staff at this hotel displayed 5 star customer service. First the front desk personnel were so friendly, one of the young ladies saw that my son loves spider man, so she gave him a bag of spider cotton candy. I wish I could remember her name she was a young African-American women with black glasses and brown colored hair. Thank you so much! Secondly the breakfast crew were spectacular! They were so friendly and made us feel so welcomed. They greeted everyone with a smile and joked with all. I... Read more

My 4 friends and I stayed for 4 nights in 2 rooms for the Chicago Marathon and we enjoyed the hotel specially service of the staff. The hotel's location made it easy for us to walk to well known restaurants and points of interests around the city. The front desk staff check us in efficiently as we arrive past midnight and even gave us bottled water to take up our room. The dining area staff greeted us every morning and even prepared take away bags for us on Marathon morning as we have to leave ... Read more

This is a really good Fairfield - the service from the front desk to the breakfast staff are amazing and helpful. The room I stayed in didn't have the best view, but that; ok. The room itself was a good size, lots of bathroom space and counter, and the little footrest that can be rolled anywhere is a good thought. The little things. Breakfast room is a good layout except where the coffee is located - it creates a bottleneck because only one person can use it at a time, so there's a lineup i... Read more

this is a good place for a short trip. Well located and helpful staff. Clean rooms though nothing special. They supply ear plugs in the room which made me a bit wary. The hotel is across the street a fire station. But the hotel turned out to be pretty quite. The gym is small and only a couple pieces of equipment. Breakfast was typical.

My husband had business in Chicago, and I tagged along. We liked this hotel very much. The staff is friendly, helpful and takes pride in the hotel. We had a beautiful room on the 17th floor with a sitting area and great views. Complimentary (and delicious) breakfast is served in a dining room on the 2nd floor. Javier and his group do a great job there. Again, the friendliness and sense of pride were evident. We would definitely use this hotel again.

We have been in many types of Marriott hotels and this Fairfield ranks up there with many of the larger and more posh Marriotts. This hotel is centrally located within walking distance to all of downtown's businesses and sights. We came here due to the larger Marriott being full and based on our experience we would come back here instead of staying at the larger Marriott. Pros: - contemporary, extremely clean and quiet - rooms are meticulously clean and suite sized. Plenty of room to spre... Read more

Just returned from a 5-day long weekend in Chicago. Stayed at this hotel and it was awesome. The staff (and I mean EVERYONE) could not do enough to ensure that our stay was perfect. We were greeted by name each and every time we returned to the hotel. They asked about our day, what did we see, did we like it, etc. They always wanted to know what was on our agenda for the next day and then offered to help in any way that they could. They even helped us find restaurants as we had specific die... Read more

I travel on business every week and regularly stay at Marriott properties. This Fairfield Inn though is like no other Marriott I've ever stayed at. The level of customer service from the time you walk through the front door is unparalleled. Check in was very pleasant, the room was perfect, the breakfast staff is amazing, and the gym was clean. When I checked out, I saw that a woman arrived earlier than expected and asked to check in. It was only 9am. I thought to myself, "good luck with that... Read more

Everybody seemed to add to my experience from check in staff to breakfast staff to room cleaning staff. Unfortunately I do not get to say this enough at Marriott facilities. Good job team! Good Job Management! Take Note Marriott!

We arrived a little early from out of state and they were able to give us a room right away. We dropped off our bags and realized we were in the heart of what we wanted to do. We went shopping, to the waterfront, to Millenium Park and a variety of other places. We walked to all of them! We do like walking, and some things took us 20-30 minutes, but there were sidewalks and the going was easy. On the day we wanted to check out, we got delayed at one of the museums. We decided to stay in the fairfield for a night before flying home. We picked this hotel cause of its location. It is centrally located and there is loads of amenities in close proximity. The staff were friendly and courteous. Beware though that parking in Chicago is expensive. There is a parking lot around the corner for $30 for 24 hours.

This hotel has a really good version of the standard Fairfield Inn breakfast -- well prepared, organized and stocked. The staff are great -- warm and friendly. The rooms come with ear plugs, which are awesome if you aren't used to being right across from a fire station. The location is really close to the red line and bus transportation and the shopping action in the area. I had a great stay and would choose this hotel again.

I booked this last minute and was going for the cheapest Marriott hotel in downtown. Not expecting much, I was pleasantly surprised and will be staying here again when I need to stay downtown for a night. Room was great and the bathroom had an actual shower, not a bathtub. Breakfast was very good in the morning and included in the room rate. Staff was friendly and diligent - no wasted time setting up room keys etc - they had it all planned out and ready.
