Just recently stayed here with a family member, great hotel, awesome location to get to the all the main attractions. We arrived really early, but staff had a room available along with an upgrade at no charge, thank you very much! Staff was so professional and helpful during our entire 5 day stay. Rooms were immaculate, breakfast and evening reception was more than exceptional. Dropped off our luggage and toured the city immediately. Saw so much and there were so many places close by for food,... Read more

I appreciated the friendliness of the staff as I arrived wet from the rain. Marissa at the front desk was efficient and helpful. The rooms are large and well appointed. The breakfast is a highlight and the evening reception was pleasant to return to at the end of the day. My only complaint was that the shower was mis-pointed so I couldn't access the full stream. Definitely will return.

I stay here every few months. The location is great; near some of the best restaurants in Chicago, plus shopping, coffee shops, Whole Foods right within a few blocks. I like the convenience of parking within the actual hotel. The rooms are typical Embassy Suites style but the breakfast buffet is better than your average ES. They even had smoked salmon, capers, etc on the buffet one morning.

This was our first trip to Chicago. After much debate of staying "downtown" or a "suburb" we decided to stay downtown. We certainly made the right choice. The Embassy Suites hotel was PERFECT! Very clean, great location, very comfortable room. We had a two room suite on the 10th floor. Yes the "courtyard" is open, but we were not bothered with noise at all - and there was a prom going on in the hotel. Finding the hotel was easy, as well as parking. We parked our car when we arrived and d... Read more

Palmer House and other Hilton properties are a better value in downtown Chicago. This property does have an excellent location, but they do not manage the breakfast or evening snack well. They run out of food and utensils and no one seems to care when you ask for some.

I love staying at this hotel. The rooms are very nice and clean. The made to order breakfasts are fantastic and we always take advantage of the free afternoon happy hour. The location is perfect to walk or taxi wherever you want to go downtown. The doorman/bellhop that flags the cabs down for you when you want to go somewhere is such a nice extra touch. Definitely makes you feel pampered. We've had rooms with a view overlooking State Street which is fun both day and night and once with no view a... Read more

Very nice valet parking service for 24 hours.

We usually stay at a different Hilton property in Chicago but chose this one because it was a tiny bit less expensive for the long weekend we were there. The location was perfect. The rooms were clean and updated. The common areas were much better than the other Hilton property! And don't even get me started on the breakfast and free happy hour! Fantastic! We will be staying here again.

I'm here for three nights on business, the place is rammed with kids running up and down the corridor and the central atrium means it echoes so it's a very noisy hotel. The rooms are old worn and tired. I would never pay to stay here myself and quite gutted my client didn't find out a good recommendation. Spacious though. But that's about it. Not surprised they do a happy hour, they need to keep people happy.

Most importantly with any hotel stay is the level of service and cleanliness- this hotel excelled at both. At check in, our reservations were not found in the system, but with our confirmation numbers, the staff quickly corrected the issue. I have stayed at several Embassy Suites in different cities and unfortunately was disappointed in our most recent stay in Chicago. I was encouraged by the pre check in e-mail to select a room. Upon arrival and opening the bed we found a soiled , stained top sheet. The pillows were feather and there was no indication as to what constituted an allergen free roo... Read more

The location of this hotel is ideal for visiting Chicago! The bedroom was separated from the living area by a door which was great for accommodating 4 people. The room had three sinks so there was limited contention for the bathroom- something much appreciated! Close to shopping, great places to eat at near by, the free breakfast everyday was good way more options then standard hotel breakfast. A short walk to one of the stops on the hop on off bus tour. The room was clean and the ear plugs provide drowned out all normal city noises you expect in a place like Chicago. I will definitely book again when we return to the Windy City.

I recently left some expensive wireless headphones in the room during a business trip. It is well centralized, close to the main points of interest, shopping, good restaurants nearby and very close to the red line subway line. The breakfast was good too with many things to choose from the buffet, and there is also the option of ordering things such as omelets as well. The room was comfortable too. I stayed and the 10th floor facing the main road, and It was quiet during the night.

Hotel was clean and convenient to most things in Chicago. However, when selecting a hotel for our family we wanted a hotel with a pool. When you make this selection in the city it limits the number of hotels available. After a long day in the city my family wanted to use the pool, we got in and it was FREEZING. This is our second stay at this hotel. It is nice and the common areas are large enough for big groups. It is convenient to everywhere you will want to go and the parking is extra money, but worth it. The only complaint is just the room color. It is a little outdated and feels dark. Great location. I was checked in by a very impersonal front desk staff member. Although he was professional, he seemed focused on something else. As he slid my room keys towards me, he did not mention my room number or where to find it. He then walked briskly away from the desk. I felt unappreciated. The room was standard and clean. I booked this for a work trip and ended up moving as found the rooms and hotel so miserable. The suite has a living area with an internally facing window, so you have to keep the curtains closed all the time and gives it the feel of a funeral home.... The bed was comfortable and was very clean. Central hotel areas were full of tourists and what felt like a 1000 kids... Im sure a good hotel if you want something more relaxed and family friendly, just not for me. never again

I have stayed in many Hilton hotels and many Embassy Suites all over the country, and this is probably the worst one I have ever visited. Where do I start? The elevators require key swiping to access the rooms, but they consistently wouldn't read my card. I kept going up and down in the elevator until i could finally get someone else to swipe. This didn't happen just once, but multiple times. The card worked fine in my room, and the problem persisted even after I changed cards, so it must ... Read more

The room was reasonably priced at $129.00 for the American Girl package. It's an extra $30 per kid for the AG package stuff. What they get is SOoooo cute. A bed, blanket, pillow and a bag full of snacks. My gripe is with the parking and the food. It cost 59.00 to park the car overnight. How can they justify 1/2 the hotel price!! Breakfast was dreadful. There were photos of pancakes everywhere but they didn't actually have pancakes. Try explaining that to little kids. The French toast they made w... Read more

Great family hotel! They cared so well for my elderly mother (especially Dinah Adibu) who needed extra directions to the self parking, some "L" trains or restaurants, and made is fun for our teens with the variety of breakfast and appetizer choices, the pool and great workout facility. We were in walking distance of everything we needed. The Whole Foods across the street came in very handy. And the self park was close and easy. Thank you for a wonderful visit!

This room fit our needs for a few days in Chicago. We did arrive to the hotel early but we were unable to check in early. The front desk staff was not very friendly and didn't seem to b happy with their jobs. The morning breakfast was good but a few items were cold. The inlet bar was also hot. The evening reception was wonderful and the staff was very friendly. The room was smaller than I thought it would b but was doable. When we asked for extra blankets, pillows and towels. housekeeping did gi... Read more

We stayed here over Thanksgiving 2016 and were more than satisfied with the suite and pleased with how friendly and helpful the front desk staff was. The complimentary breakfast offered lots of food choices and generous quantities. This is very convenient to shopping, great restaurants and public transportation - didn't need a car at all. We'd pick this hotel again.
