Had a great stay with a nice view from the room, All the staff was very friendly in the breakfast area and Valet parking. Was not impressed with the 3 staff members at the desk during the check in and check out, They were not too friendly. Over all was a great stay and nice hotel rooms with all the basic amenities needed. The hotel is in a very good location.

Loved the location & breakfast. We were able to walk to so many different attractions. Rooms are very nice and clean as well. Staff was very friendly and helpful as were most people we came across in Chicago. Gotta love the mid-west! Extremely pricey but so is everywhere else in this downtown area. Rated a 4 because of price.

First, you should know that all of the rooms in this hotel are suites. They are spacious and offer great comfort while traveling or just a random night in downtown. There is ample space to relax or knock out some evening emails. In the evening there are complimentary beverages (adult and otherwise) in the main lobby for a few hours. In the morning you can partake in their complimentary breakfast with a made to order omelette or a variety of other hot and cold options. I ordered room service one ... Read more

Overall, a very nice hotel, centrally located within walking distance of many tourist attractions. Room was good sized and clean. I especially liked that there were plenty of towels in the bathroom. It would have been nice if they could provide more than 2 towel hooks! Service was great and every staff member we encountered was very friendly. There were plenty of options in the breakfast buffet and the made-to-order line. Coffee was very good. (There's nothing worse than bad or weak coffee in th... Read more

My family of four stayed at the Embassy Suites for several nights; it was a wonderful experience. The rooms are clean with ample space. Really liked having two additional sinks outside the bathroom. The breakfast and happy hour food/drink selection was exceptional. The location truly could not have better. Loved being so close to the river, Lake and Michigan Avenue. Excellent location. The hotel is located just on the Magnificent Mile where there are plenty of shops and restaurants. The staff were nice (guided me to the gym without me needing to ask) The rooms are modern, clean and spacious. The hotel also sports an all glass fence for the halls (kind of scary to look down if you are on the top floor) and elevator (great view on the elevator). Stayed here with our two teenage kids. Great room for spreading out a bit. The sinks (3 of them!) were life savers. Sink in bedroom by mirror - great for getting ready. Also sink near mini fridge, microwave. A great set-up for our family. We utilized self park that adjoined the hotel for around $45/night. Close, clean and safe. The hotel's central location made it so easy for us to do everything we wanted. It was a beautiful, easy walk to Magnificent Mile shopping, the Millennium Park area for cultural sites, and the river for an architectural boat tour. There are several bus stops on the hotel street corners to make getting around even easier. Whole Food, Target, and Walgreen's are right there too. The staff was also really friendly and helpful.

Conveniently located between Navy Pier and Michigan Avenue. The premium suite was nice. Free breakfast had a nice variety, although the same each day. Overall, this hotel provided great accommodations for a family of 4. With the two doubles (beds) and a pull out couch for the kids, a standard room fits 4 easily, and you could fit 5 for sure. The amenities are basic, and similar to any other Embassy Suites, however for a downtown hotel, it was excellent!

Hotel is fine, basically what you expect for a large chain hotel in downtown Chicago. Three blocks to Navy Pier (10-minute walk with kids in tow). Easy walk to Michigan Avenue. Room was clean and comfortable. A couple of things to point out though: free breakfast is busy. Line up for omelets, or eat the eggs, cold pancakes, and rubbery potatoes. Coffee tasted burnt both days. Walk one block to Starbucks in Target. Complementary happy hour was better - snacks and drinks for the kids and a... Read more

Choose another hotel that matches the price of the hotel. I would rate this as a 2 star hotel. Maid service was good. Parking in the hotel lot was unsafe. Furnishing appeared to be low quality. Lines too long for breakfast and managers reception. The pool was basically a lap pool. After a long day of walking, we were all able to sleep.

My wife and I and our three daughters occupied two rooms at the Embassy Suites for four (4) nights to explore the city of Chicago. First of all, the location of the hotel is about a 15 minute walk to the Navy Pier and likewise, short walks to the River Walk and the Michigan Avenue and the Magnificent Mile. During our stay in July, the temperature and humidity was not that bad so it was somewhat comfortable to walk to most places. The hotel staff were very pleasant and most helpful. Our rooms... The hotel is located within walking distance of many of the cities top attractions, including Michigan Avenue, the river, the Tribune Tower, Navy Pier, Millennium Park, the Art Institute, etc., which makes it an ideal spot for tourists. My experience has always been positive at Embassy Suites and this is no exception. In addition to clean rooms, excellent service, and reasonable prices, this particular Embassy has a very good restaurant. If you are tired from the day's activities and don't want to go out to a restaurant, you have a very good alternative inside the hotel. The Basil restaurant here has upper middle quality food at a medium price. This is a great place to stay to venture out from while siteseeing in the area.
