Had a nice stay in a very clean, albeit cozy (small but well appointed for a city property) room, with a nicely presented continental breakfast included next day. Staff was prompt when question arose, and were also polite. The TV signal could be stronger, it had some delays in channel changing and sometimes signal was lost, and beds could be larger (king) but that is to be expected of a city property. Overall minor inconveniences, considering we were there to see a show at the Vic Theater, just ... Read more

I love this hotel. I like that it's old, I donā??t care about the creaky floors. Itā??s very clean, comfortable, and convenient. Plenty pf room to stretch out. The teeny elevator holds 3 people, which is a riot. Mr. Basanta checked me in and checked me out; very hardworking, professional, great personality. He's great at his job and obviously enjoys it. The bed rivals any in NYC; so comfy! Blaze pizza is next door, The Vic theater is around the corner, and Walgreen's is across the street. Perf... Read more

The water heater with heated water makes noise like a teapot with boiling water. This ruined my first night and the day after. The next night some other pipe noise (someone's morning shower?) woke me up too. I figured to turn the knob to turn off the heater and turn on the 3 fans in my room to help mask noises. I've lived under an airport flight path. I currently live 100 yards or so from a commuter rail track so I have some experience with noise. Other than noisy nights it's not bad. Fr... Read more

I have been staying at this hotel for many years now you can't beat the helpful staff or the location. The hotel has been renovated over the years but still retains the charm of an older boutique hotel.

Visited Chicago for two nights in Dec to catch some concerts. This hotel was great. Staff are very professional and friendly. Rooms very clean and spacious. Didn't have the breakfast, but the coffee was great. Had a room facing the street, which was nice to look out and see what was going on, no problem with noise. Beds were comfty, slept like a baby. Discovered two great restaurants close by, Ann Sather for breakfast and Blaze pizza. So good, didn't eat anywhere else. Big shoutout to Jackie a... Read more

We had a room facing the street, and the flashing light from the restaurant across the street, the street noise, and the sounds of the el trains (three lines stop at the Belmont station about 30 yards away) were a slight inconvenience for the comfortable bed and convenient location. I think a room on the top floor facing east would have been the best choice for quiet and natural light.

Stayed here over the weekend with a few friends, decent hotel for the price. The location is great, walking distance to restaurants/bars. BLAZES wood fire pizza is right next door which is what attracted me to this hotel in the first place, definitely recommend grabbing a pizza from there! The room was decent, we reserved a double sweet for 4 girls and had plenty of space. The only negative thing is that the bathroom had 0 outlets? We had to do our hair out on the floor by a wall outlet, not sur... Read more

This place is small, quiet and located in the heart of the theater district. Lots of restaurants and bars. The staff was friendly. The breakfast was simple(continental). They have excellent cinnamon apple hot tea. The microwave is in the lounge area.

Just came back from my stay at City Suites Hotel and could not been happier! My whole family enjoyed their stay, and most of it was because the hotel is great! Definitely would stay here again! Biggest pros: 1. Amazing location: same block as Belmont Subway station (Brown/Red/Purple lines). Super easy to go wherever you want in Chicago, roughly 20min to downtown. Subway was never crowded in this station, plus it has elevators and escalators (in case you have luggage, like we did). Didn't hear th... Read more

On most of the trips Iā??ve made to Chicago Iā??ve stayed at the City Suites. Between itā??s comfort level and proximity to the nightlife of Boystown, it has been my lodging of choice. This trip was not a disappointment. Aside from a couple of very minor ā??nitsā?? everything was as Iā??d hoped. I was upgraded from a Queen Suite to a King Suite, which was nice. The two-room suites are divided between a sitting area with a sofa bed and work desk, and the bedroom with the king size bed, chest... Read more
