I had the chance to stay 2 nights at this location in April and was extremely pleased. On top of the high quality customer service I received from every department (front desk, concierge, housekeeping), the location is conveniently located 2 blocks from the Grand RED Line station, as well as walking distance to great restaurants, bars, and entertainment near the river and Michigan Ave. The room itself was small but extremely well laid out. The modern style of furniture offers plenty of built in... Read more

Enjoyable trip to Chicago for business. The hotel was located perfectly for everywhere I needed to be with easy access to "L" stations, walkable. My room was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. The environment was lively and colorful in the lobby and restaurant areas. Once in my room, it was relaxing and quiet. The sounds of Chicago (honking horns mostly) were pretty well drowned out with the windows and blinds closed. I would choose Aloft Chicago City Center again in the... Read more

Stayed here in April, the location is really good, you can reach many places walking and there are hundreds of restaurants around. The restaurant adjacent to the hotel; has a very nice brunch which I enjoyed. The front desk staff was very friendly, however I didn't have anyone helping me with my suitcases and I had a huge one, would have been nice to get some help.

I am a business traveler with over 500 nights between SPG and Marriott. I stay at the Aloft in Chicago whenever I get to visit this great City! The hotel is located near everything! It has a good vibe, upbeat but kind of chilled. Nice gym and good bar/ restaurant too. I would recommend !

This hotel is part of Westin chains and we had a free night. Very different, reminded me of European style. Modern and trendy. Right near a lot of restaurants. Beatrix has great breakfast/room service. Shower was great. Front desk staff very quick and friendly. Has a fridge in the room. Highly recommend it for a different hotel feel. Comfy bed too!

-The hotel is in the City Center which makes it very practical to be able to see the most of Chicago. -The staff was very welcoming, always willing to help to make our stay agreeable. For example, we asked for more tea and coffee in our room and we got some shortly after with extra cups ! -Talking about the room, it was very clean, the bed was large and comfortable. We really liked the view from our bedroom (picture window). It was even better at night ! -The hotel has an independent restauran... Read more

Had an overall great experience while at the Aloft for memorial weekend. I tried to check in a bit early Sun am--room wasnt ready (understandable) but REALLY enjoyed brunch at the adjacent restaurant Beatrix. Room, staff, cleanliness, room service, etc were all superb. Also liked having snacks (ice cream, hot pockets, water, juice, etc) available in the lobby for purchase at odd hours. I will 100% return to this location in the future.

Pregnant wife and I had great experience visiting Chicago and for the most part enjoyed our stay and were treated very well by the Aloft staff. I attempted to contact the manager via several outlets, but the only response I received was from the front desk manager, who promised to get a response from the general manager. I have waited for over 4 weeks without a response to my complaint. During the evening of the 2nd night of our stay, from about 1-2am, a group of individuals we running up/dow... Read more

I stayed recently with two girl friends for a girlsâ?? getaway night. We loved everything! The location was perfect for parking the car and walking everywhere we wanted to go. We were happy to see the Starbucks a block down the street. Plus, there are so many Divvy bike stations close by, so we took advantage of the bikes for a Saturday morning bike ride along Lake Michigan. We loved the room and modern dĂ©cor. We were sitting in the parking lot of Six Flags Great America after a long day and planning to finish the weekend in downtown Chicago. We had not booked a hotel prior. After looking on trip advisor for approximately 35 minutes we ended up at this hotel. I don't even know why we bothered to look when aloft was an option. This hotel is in a very happening spot of he city. It's close to the redline. The restaurant was great for breakfast but the wait times were about 45 minutes: call from your roo... Read more

I went to Chicago to attend my nephew's graduation. We stayed on this place on the second leg of our stay. As any Aloft Hotel has great contemporary style and It is situated a few blocks away from the Magnificent Mile. There are many restaurants and shops nearby including Eataly, and Rick Bayless restaurant - Xoco. Enjoyed my stay in this place and will plan to stay in this place on my next trip to Chicago.

The hotel was awesome. Newer, modern feel. Pleasant staff, and delicious Beatrix Restaurant attached. Close to everything, accepted dogs with no extra fees. Even had dog treats for the dogs. The room was very clean, and did not feel like a " pet room". My kids loved that when they turned on the T.V. the screen would read a greeting with my name. Great, great place. Recommend this place and the restaurant without hesitation.

Comfortable, affordable hotel in a bustling neighborhood. Rooms and lobby had a sleek contemporary look that reminded me of my hotel in Reykjavik with comfortable beds and large, compartmented bathroom. We were here for some concerts at Wrigley Field so being a short 2 block walk from the Red Line was a major plus.Lots fo restaurants and shops in the neighborhood as well.

Firstly, they really need a better set up for curbside. There was a valet stand but if you want to self park (we use Spot Hero), it is extremely difficult to unload and to check in. There just wasn't anywhere to leave car for 5 minutes. The room was comfortable - only one complaint...please put magnifying mirror in bathroom area for us ladies doing our makeup!). We loved the location in River North near lots of restaurants and bars.

My first impression? The very welcoming front desk staff. Each time I walked into the lobby there was a warm, engaging smile. Loved the urban style of the lobby and the room! Accommodating for special requests such as custom map, directions to local venues. Truly appreciated the 'green' option in regard to cleaning my room. Definitely check out Beatrix & W XYZ Bar next store...wonderful food, atmosphere and staff.

I researched the ALoft on Trip Advisor & new immediately that it was exactly what I needed for a children's retro photoshoot. Oscar was extremely helpful in getting me a *corner room with floor to ceiling windows. Absolutely perfect lighting! The lobby was also a fab area with its 70's retro dome chairs. We (2 adults and 2 kids) enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff were friendly and our room was large and well laid out A subway station is nearby and there are also lots of places to eat and buy supplies. The one downside for us was that on one night of our stay, the fire alarm went off on our floor at about midnight. We had to evacuate to the lobby. Actually located in great place with lots of restaurants nearby and quick walk to shopping and metro. Bed was comfortable and room appointed okay, no frills, but had everything you'd need. The one major drawback it is located right around the corner from a major fire station and they are a busy fire station with sirens blasting all day and night. If you sleep heavy, this won't bother you, but as a light sleeper, this woke meep 4-5 times each night.

This hotel was meant to be a real treat given I'd just driven half way across the country, and I'd never been to Chicago so a downtown hotel seemed like a good idea. The location is definitely good. However, unfortunately, the noise from the street, and the noise in the hallways from people coming in late at night, people screaming and yelling and slamming doors...all of that was unpleasant.
