This hotel is located in a great spot close to everything we wanted to do, staff was friendly and attentive to our needs. Restaurant located right on the ground floor so we didn't even need to venture far for breakfast and lunch.

The stay was great! The check in process was slow because it took so long for the guy to come to the desk. The heat had already been turned on in the room and it was quite warm!

We spent the night at this hotel after going to the theater on a week night. It was easier than going home late since we had work and school the next day. I was pleased with the size of my room - I had a suite with a king and double bed, fridge, microwave and kitchen sink. The hotel is in a great location for the price but it is an older hotel. While the room was clean and everything worked, one of the window was cracked, and the rooms not quite a modern looking as other places. However, ... Read more

Stayed in this hotel in Sept 2016 and had an amazing stay! Yes the hotel is not the most current but for what we paid to stay in the complete centre of Chicago, you cannot complain when all you do is sleep there when you have a beautiful city to explore. From the fantastic, attentive reception staff at the check in who were so helpful - they are an asset to the hotel. My shampoo exploded in my suitcase when we arrived and the reception staff gave me free washing powder and conditioning sheets an... Read more

As you can read in a lot of the reviews, this is an older property, however, that should not negatively influence your decision to stay here as it is a great hotel. The location is close to so many things - if you are in town for the marathon, the finish line is across the street - great walk-ability to parks, restaurants, bars and other things to do. Though the hotel is older it is well maintained and clean. The lobby is very nice with two attached restaurants - one is coffee/breakfast/lun... Read more

The wife and I wanted to see Chicago and I choose this hotel because of its location and price. We walked and went sight seeing all over and had a blast without the need of a car. The down side to the experience was the hotel itself. It felt unclean and completely outdated. It made the experience feel as if it was located in the shadiest parts of town. Luckily we only used it to sleep but any longer it would make one depressed i would think.

the hotel is good, but it is old , the heating is noisy, through the pipes it leaks sound. Excelent ubication to take pictures and visiting cultural places. In general terms... a good place to stay for a few days.

I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights for a business trip. I had to go to the CBOT building and looked for an affordable hotel nearby. It is indeed cheaper than the other good hotels in downtown. To tell the truth, you get what you pay for. But considering I payed for one of the cheapest hotels in town. I enjoyed the stay and it was a pleasant one. The sheets and towels are not the cleanest ones you probably have seen, but still usable though. The CBOT is in walkable distance which was the main re... Read more

Hotel is old and in need of some TLC, however, rooms are spacious and include kitchenettes, much needed for families. EXCELLENT location! Easy 1 mi walk to train station, and a few blocks from State Street (plentiful shopping and restaurants), southern end of Michigan Avenue, Grant Park and Field Museum. Super easy to catch the city bus and hop on the El.

Stayed in a decent sized studio apartment as a couple in August. The apartment itself was very spacious with separate sitting and sleeping areas and a small pantry. Ventilation was very poor since the windows opened out to adjoining block. While checking in, one of the staff had forewarned us on this and suggested we wait a little while for another room, which we opted to do. When we came back, another staff member straight away allotted the same room, telling us we either take it or find anothe... Read more
