My friends and I stayed here for NYE To attend a nearby event. Afterwards we took a seat in the lobby & were told we had to leave because "we didn't buy anything" or because we were black!? We were not even seated long enough to decide if we're going to make a purchase before security B-lined for our table. After my husband produced his key card Mr. Woodson still insisted that we leave and even more of his colleagues came over to harass us while the other surrounding white guest (who didn't have... We had a wonderful stay and it started before we even got to the hotel. Valerie in reservations was very accommodating and made sure our rooms were right for our group! Check in was smooth and we really enjoyed the view from our rooms!

Good Central location for North Michigan Avenue shopping and Maggie Daly Park for Ice Skating. We stated last year as well. We had a great view of the river and Navy Pier. We like to walk, so all the sights and restaurants we go to are within a max 15-20 minutes. Most are closer. Check was smooth and quick. We didn't use any facilities this time, other than the restaurant for coffee.

Everything was satisfactory. Valet service was good ($70/day- is this the going rate?), Check in was smooth - they have a luggage check in if you are early, and phone you when your room is ready - Rooms are spacious and ours had a good view - Beds- mattresses have the foam topper that I personally don't like - Bathrooms have a tub and a shower - (a little frugal with the towels) - Elevators are fast as you select floor before entering (helps when you are in a hurry) - Lobby bar is good and as th... Second stay at this hotel for a conference. Going down hill. Reserved a King but had to upgrade to get a king. As far as room... down bed too hot, AC not very good. No explanation upon check-in that I could have opted out of down bedding. As far as venue for conference... no standing tables for breakfast, ran out of coffee.

This is my second stay at Swissotel Chicago. I made reservations for two periods due to room rate availability for a conference. Nicole at the front desk took great care to see that we did not have to change rooms during our stay and even saved us quite a bit of money in the mean time. The room was nice with a beautiful view of the Chicago River. Can't wait to return.

This place is like no other, the view from my room was amazing and I was only on the 17th floor. Had a corner room with nothing but windows. The only downside was the 2 bottles of water they left in the room her $8 each. For what you pay for the room you think you might get free water. Parking was also $70 a night. But still I would go back.

My stay was a conference stay. The rooms were impeccable and the service was first rate. The provided conference meals offered a variety of favors while also providing healthy options. The staff was friendly and attentive. Only negative was a complete lack of regular tea. Not everyone drinks coffee or flavored teas. Tea bags should be offered in room.

We stay all over the world. I like flash when I need it and lowdown when I'm in some locations. This is the hotel for me in Chicago. Location is walking distance to everything with L connections everywhere. The dog park below this facilities is the best in the world. The staff is awesome. They make you feel comfortable and welcome. Hate to say this because it should be a secret.
