We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Incidentally, we were there same time as the Argentinian nation soccer team (Messi, DiMaria, Aguero, et al) were staying there. The staff were very nice, even though there was a bit of (understandably) discomfort with moving the team around. Anyway, service was very good....we had requested a rollaway bed. Yeah, I would do away with that. That bed still is causing me back pain. My main issue was with the location of the hotel. I knew where it was to begin ... Read more

I've been curious about the Park Hyatt experience for years--sorta like a kid staring into a sweet shop window with so many treats that are off limits. Since I was at the halfway point of preparing for the California bar exam, I finally ventured inside for a little splurge as a short respite from studying. My trips to Chicago are typically focused on shopping; therefore, the location is ideal for easy walking access to my favorite haunts. My first inquiry upon arrival was about whether the ho... Still our favorite hotel. Location, comfort, facilities, amenities-best. But even better, the staff at Park Hyatt from the valet, bellman to front desk to NoMi staff (especially breakfast, from reception thru to table service!)-first rate people, service and friendliness! Expect the cost, it is an elegant hotel, downtown so it costs from valet etc but you can find good value here. Thank you Park Hyatt, still our favorite!

Directly across the street from Water Tower Place (and with the old water tower in their front yard), the hotel could not be more perfectly situated. We got a room on the 18th floor, and although we did not overlook Michigan Avenue, the room was greet. Spacious room with a desk and a reclining chair, confortable, clean bed, extra large bathroom with separate bath and shower, plus a passthrough to the bedroom, it was just perfect. S... Read more

I thought this might be located a little more north than I wanted to be but I was so wrong. Best location EVER. I walked everywhere. Restaurants, museums, shopping, tours...all outside the door. their rooms are wonderful. I used the big tub every single day. The hottest water you can imagine and extremely deep. even ate dinner one night in the room. plenty of desk room. 2 tvs. view was great. just exceptional. I took the train up. rated 7th best luxury hotel in downtown Chicago.

The Park Hyatt is centrally located in downtown Chicago near almost everything and in the shopping district. The room was perfect and large and the hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed at the Park Hyatt for a 2 night getaway. We took advantage of the register ahead on line and we were notified our room was ready while still getting out of the airport at 11:00AM! We were so pleased with our room! Luxuriously appointed and housekeeping took such good care of us! The registration desk was filled with pleasant, helpful people! We walked everywhere. Great restaurants and sites within 10-30 minute walks! If we return to Chicago, we would most certainly stay here again!

Don't get me wrong. This is a very nice hotel and you can feel the luxury as soon as you enter the lobby. The staff were very professional and courteous, just not super personable. The room was spacious, and the bed was pretty comfortable. There are hundreds of tv channel, which could be overwhelming. But pretty nice LCD tv. The decor was somewhat modern, but I have stayed at nicer Park Hyatt, and I had a higher expectation. This one (at least the room) is more like a Hyatt Regency. An... Read more

Did a little staycation with a friend from DC and we could not have picked a nicer place! The staff were very efficient during check-in. But the showstopper was when we got up to our room and saw the view. We just booked a standard room, but the view was gorgeous, encompassing the old water tower, the city, and Lake Michigan. The room itself was extremely comfortable. I defy anyone to get a bad night's rest on that bed. Only complaint is that there isn't a lot of noise separation from the bathr... Read more

I visit Chicago regularly but was never drawn to this hotel. Maybe because it doesn't look like much for the outside, or maybe because it just seemed like an ordinary dull Hyatt. But I decided to give it a shot having read so many favorable reviews. I was thrilled with my stay. I booked through the AmEx FHR program and the Park Hyatt welcomed me for an early arrival and a late check out. They also honored the complementary room upgrade, which I appreciated. I loved my modern, elegant room. I ha... Read more

Ambience: spectacularly spacious room. Service: wonderful; our Filipino server brought us fruit, coffee, and tea with no charge--no name tags or I'd mention her by name! Value: Wonderful upgrade thanks to the wonderful front desk staff who called us immediately to ask how we found our room in terms of "like" and we replied "love." Rarely does a hotel call just to see if "everything is in order." Thank you for the service, the attention to detail, and for the window table at the main restaura... Read more

Had a great stay here with a friendly helpful staff and clean efficient room. Free breakfast buffet with the room was convenient. The breakfast selections were a little generic, but fine. There was no minibar, and room service came from an outside deliver service it seemed. They have a text message system to use to contact the concierge for anything which made it simple to ask for the room to be made up for example. A completely good hotel, a good product that ticked all the boxes, just ... Read more

We just spent the weekend here and it was a perfect experience. Location is ideal, half way down Michigan, centrally located to shopping on Michigan avenue, Rush, and Oak. Check in was quick and the room had a lovely view of the lake. (17th floor). Although it was not super large, it was contemporary and clean. Bathroom was quite large and service was top notch. Stayed with the wife on a quick weekend trip and was impressed. The room (standard) was very big for a standard room, service was excellent, enjoyed the turndown service and tasty food from room service. As stated in the heading, this hotel is very comparable to a Four Seasons and it was the perfect location right on Michigan Avenue. The property is very nice and updated with a modern feel, service was some of the best I have received from Hyatt and generally very friendly. The selling point is ... Read more

I love most all Park Hyatts, and this is one of the best. Cannot beat the location- both on and off Michigan Ave. Having the park between you and Michigan provided a little bit of a feeling of quiet. Great service, outstanding room. They just know how to do it correctly. Also NoMi is very good for breakfast. Have stayed at most of the high end properties in Chicago, and this is right at the top.

This is one of the best managed Hyatt's that we've every stayed! The rooms are very adequate and well appointed. The bedding and bath are first class. We had an evening cocktail and breakfast the next morning at the hotel, and can say the staff are very well trained and professional.

The location is good and the hotel is new so very modern and clean. Good breakfast with stunning view of the water tower from the Numi restaurant. However, sadly I do not recommend the hotel given the high level street noise which echoes up around the building, even though I was on a high floor. I stayed on for the weekend after a business trip, hoping to relax and enjoy the comfortable rooms but did not get a full nights sleep with the sirens from the emergency services throughout the night.

The Park Hyatt is an excellent and central location to everywhere! we walked to the Navy Pier - to The Private Bank Theater and even to Halsted Street (Greektown). Magnificent Mile and ALL the stores are right there as well. The Concierge (JEN) also helped with dinner reservations and the restaurant exceeded are expectations and she totally nailed our request! Thank you Jen!

I have stayed in many hotels during business travel that can be classified "High End". The Park Hyatt was absolutely the best of the best. The staff was genuinly (not forced) friendly and helpful. The rooms were the cleanest I ever experienced and by far the quietest. My wife and I spent a weekend downtown and splurged on this hotel (24th anniversary) and were beyond impressed. I am frugal so I spend most my time in Hyatt Places (aslo nice) but this was beyond my expectations.
