This hotel is nice, clean and in a great location. The rooms are small, not much of a closet but bathroom is decent size. If you're here for a few nights great but if staying for a week or more than stay in a hotel that offers more amenities such as breakfast included and more spacious rooms.

I'm here for 2 weeks in the heart of River North! Awesome....Great room great location awesome staff, The bathroom is huge, The internet is free and good speed. Bed is large and comfy, lots of pillows. The don't have many doubles, and no roll aways. only because I'm here for so long, and have so many clothes! there is a really Small Closet, no fridge, no pool. Over all very good though. Close to transporation.

It was not a good hotel room was very small. Street people hanging out everywhere. The management didn't say any thing about them. The last day we was there they were filming at the hotel and would not let us sit in the lobby. I left a gown and camisole by accident and they said nothing was left never stay there again

This is not a 4 star hotel! Tiny, tiny rooms. Not enough room to turn around with two people. Walls are paper thin. The location is good. The staff was somewhat friendly at the front desk. BEWARE! the room so little, you will hit your knees on the bed frame and it hurts. Horrible view of another building. The lobby is extra small.

The Hotel Felix is a great value in the River North location. It is an older property, but the rooms have been upgraded and are well appointed. Our room was not very large, but comfortable for 2 people. I would definitely stay there again.

Stayed at Hotel Felix during a business trip to Chicago. Excellent place to stay. Hotel Staff are very polite and helpful. Their recommendations were very much appreciated. Room was cozy, clean and very comfortable. Will make this place my go to Hotel when visiting Chicago.

Our original room was tiny and we had a noise coming from the AC. The first room there was barely enough room to walk around the bed. The maintenance man buddy Buddy was very helpful and friendly! He made our stay! The second room was a little bigger. They offer no coffee or anything in the lobby in the morning. The place is very clean! The bathroom has a shower no tub, that is very roomy. At night it is not the best neighborhood. A lot of weird people on the street and people asking for money.

There is an oft-repeated saying that says in one way or another that you have to win the easy ones. A similar golf analogy is that you have to make the short putts in life. If you can't win the easy battles, then how can you be expected to perform when you're faced with an actual challenge? During our recent, and last, visit to Hotel Felix, it failed to make the easy ones so I see no reason to return. I'll try to be brief, I had to travel overnight for work. My wife is 37 weeks pregnant and,... Read more

Welcoming and friendly. Great service and helpful staff. The hotel's French style cafe serves a nice and varied breakfast at a reasonable price. Rooms and bathrooms are newly decorated. Stylish and comfortable. Well placed in a calm neighbourhood and easy walking distance to everything. Great value for money.

We enjoyed staying at Hotel Felix. It is conveniently located in downtown Chicago, and is in a very nice neighborhood with so many nice restaurants in walking distance. I brought my own hot pot to make my own tea in my room, but free coffee and tea are available in the lobby bar in the morning. My partner loved the taste of the coffee. The room is relatively small, but the chests of drawers under the bed were very useful. The view from our window offered a very nice contemporary urban scene. The... Read more

Stayed here and the rooms are nice. I didn't have a mini fridge in my room but I think it is a option for a few extra bucks. I loved that it was less then 5min from Michigan Ave and the famous shopping and it was walking distance to great food places like Porillos(around the corner), Al's Roats Beef, Giordano's, Gino's east, Billy Goat tavern, Yolk and others but the best food we had came from the café beside the hotel. We were not far from the great attractions and walking distance from most... Read more

This hotel had very small rooms and thin walls. The person next door had people coming and going all night which made sleep difficult. The location was very nice and is in the middle of everything which is very fun

Hubby and I attended a weekend marriage seminar at Moody Bible wanted to stay in the city in a walkable area. We chose Hotel Felix due to the great deal on Hotel Tonight. Room was originally priced at $198 avg night, found a deal for $109! Given the downtown area we knew prices would be inflated. It's great walking distance to Michigan Ave & plenty of shops & restaurants in the area. Have valet at $60 night no in/out privileges. Rooms was small but nice & cozy. Even though we were across fro... Read more

The hotel is in a great location. The front desk staff were really helpful when I asked if we could be a bit further from the elevator, for a quieter spot. The bed was very comfortable, lovely thick towels and the room decor was fine...not great but not bad either. We would stay there again.

Hotel Felix and its staff completely surpassed my expectations. They were wonderfully helpful, and though the hotel is a little bit out of the way from certain attractions, the amenities and comfort of the hotel make up for it. Though it's a little further from Michigan Ave and the Loop, there's lots of fun things to do nearby, convenient public transit, and if you're up to walk, the journey is interesting and safe. My room was clean again every evening when I arrived back, and the little restau... Read more

There wasn't anything wrong with the hotel, but we didn't love it either. Good location and within walking distance to a lot of restaurants, bars, etc, although a little farther away from some of the more "touristy" attractions. We really enjoyed the Italian restaurant right around the corner from the hotel (name is escaping me now..). There was no mini-fridge in the room, which isn't a huge deal, but a little disappointing. Rooms were clean and perfectly adequate- a little small, but we wer... Read more

I stay in boutique hotels all of the time and know their rooms are small. I'm ok with that when they are well laid out but this was one of the smallest rooms I've ever had and it was poorly laid out. It was too small for more than one yet not suitable for a business traveler - Nice desk area but no chair to sit on! Pluses: the room was quiet and the bed comfortable. I liked the location. Neg: there was no real closet just a hanging bar. It was ok for one in the summer but with two people or ... Read more

I stayed here one night while on business trip earlier. The room was small which IP was tolerable since I was by myself. My biggest problem was the noisies. I guess the walls are extremely thin and you can hear everything in the surrounding area. Whenever someone was trying to open door to their room, I feel someone was opening my door. I was on the 4th floor and I can still pick the noises from the street. The door card was another issue. I had to insert cards 5, 6 tries each time Before I can ... Read more

The hotel is in an older traditional style Chicago building about 10 minutes walk from busy Michigan Avenue (the Magnificent Mile) and about 20 mins walk from the river and the Loop district. The lobby is small but stylish and fragranced with a tea kind of smell, which I liked. I arrived quite early and the person on the desk told me they only had two rooms available at that time, one of which was small with a view and one slightly larger with no view. It was stressed to me that the small roo... Read more

We were surprised by how small the rooms were, but still had enough space for 2 of us to get ready. Room was nice with comfy bed and pillows and the bathroom was a nice size. View from the room was of a brick wall though. Hotel was walking distance from many places we wanted too visit. Seems to be a younger crowd that stays here because we were woken up at 5am with the bar crowd all coming back to theirs rooms. Its Chicago and the price was right. I would stay here again :)

tiny rooms for a large price...not worth it. tiny lobby area, nice front desk people and bellman was the best! but overall...not great. free coffee in the morning was nice, but the rooms were like closets for $400!! rip-off

The staff were kind and hospitable. The bed was very comfortable with a gym and spa also available. Our room was small, but this was expected in a city hotel. Unfortunately you do not get a coffee machine, or any extra amenities that you might expect from the price. A very comfortable stay.

The hotel was clean, but the rooms are tiny. My legs are full of bruises where I caught my shins on the end of the bed due to lack of room to walk in the room. I stayed when the Chicago marathon was happening and the room rate went from 179 dollars to 454 dollars. I checked the price on line and found it could be booked on line for 220 dollars, but was told that it could not be cancelled and re-booked (I assume that this was my fault but it was pre-booked for me).............The check in staff ... Second time we have stayed here and once again it was good for a city centre hotel. Yes, the rooms are small and lacking in microwave and coffee facilities (they have free coffee in the mornings in the lobby, but I would love to see that available during the day too), but what do you expect in the middle of a city? The location is excellent for seeing the sights and the rooms clean. They now charge a 60 dollar deposit,I presume bec ause people must have been nicking the bathrobes etc. As a result... Read more

Very friendly staff from the door in! Very modern lobby area. Smallest hotel room I have EVER STAYED IN. Thank god it's just for one night. When you open the door, it actually grazes the end of the bed. It's literally smaller than an inside cruise ship room. And the noise from the alley (the voices and dumpster) down below is less than desirable. I recommend staying away from rooms that end in 20 as they would be the rooms directly above and below me (and I would assume equally undesirable). ... Read more

This boutique hotel in downtown Chicago is exquisite. The lobby even smells good. Try to stay here when in town but if you can't, make sure to stop by the quaint bar off the entryway by the fireplace! You won't be disappointed
