Great hotel for both; spend time with your friends or family. Great location right next to the "House of Blues", and main shopping street. Finally spend some free time in Chicago enjoying the city itself, and very glad that have chosen the right hotel to stay in. )

It's an ok enough hotel and there are some good winter specials on it, but for whatever reason, Marriott's usual best rate guarantee doesn't seem to apply. Check a few sites, theirs definitely isn't the lowest and sorry, but here that won't mean you get an extra 25% off. I'm platinum and would've done better booking anywhere else.

One night stay using a Groupon. We got the feeling that we got the discount deal room and treatment. First off, the doorway of our room was recessed far beyond the other rooms and it was next to the ice machine room. It was a really, really small room and to say we had a city view is being generous. We had a concrete rooftop view. We had to leave to attend a function or we might have gone back to the front desk to simply inquire about the possibility of a change. Admittedly, the ice machine was... Read more

We stayed at the Hotel Chicago Downtown last week and really enjoyed it. The hotel was a bit dated, but there were several cool art deco details that made it more retro than really "dated." The entrance is sort of nestled in the back entrance of the House of Blues, so it was a little difficult for our Lyft driver to find at first, so just pay attention to what addy you input for transport. I adventured while my husband was at a conference, and I always had an easy start and finish here. My only ... Read more

It's a bit of a difficult location, right next to the House of Blues, but now that they've got this hotel fully fixed up it's great and it can also be a great value especially in the winter. Service has always been very good, and the room decor and cleanliness is above reproach. This Autograph Collection hotel is a much better than the Marriott Michigan Avenue and many other similar properties. Well done!

Our second stay at the Hotel Chicago after attending the boat show, although we didn't have a river view this trip it was still pleasant. Complimentary fruit flavored water and coffee in lobby upon arrival and hot cocoa in the morning was a very nice touch. Able to walk to several restaurants and close enough to Michigan Ave as well. We had dinner at Lou Malnati's (best butter crust deep dish pizza in town) and breakfast at Siena Tavern. Hotel staff kindly held our bags after checkout while we s... Read more

Great location walking distance to many shops and Millennium Park. Lakisha and Wayne at the front desk were very helpful an accommodating. Room was very nice and quiet. Breakfast was served in lobby and was very good and reasonably priced. Will return.

With aplomb the desk clerk ( did not get her name ) but she was on the reception desk last night!) She went back the office and returned with a disappointing message they had overbooked - however- the would have accommodations for us at the Westin. This was an accommodation that would be gratis. So even though we did not actually stay the night we had insight as to how professional the staff was and philosophically some problems are handled and not swept under the rug. BTW, the Weston is NOT a... Read more

This is such a great place to stay in Chicago, right in the city center and very convenient! A very robust part of the town, in walking distance to many tourist attractions. The hotel itself is very nice too. My room is stylish and sparkling clean. I was welcomed by front desk manager Paul who was very helpful and warm! I'm very satisfied with Hotel Chicago and would recommend it to anyone!
