"We had the best time! What a creative way to run a hotel and I have NEVER been to a hotel that the staff was so personable and friendly. The bellman and front desk were the BEST. A great get get away for two people in a clean, yet small room but the bed and surroundings were really fun and we loved it. We have four kids and it was fun to leave them home and experience this! Will definitely stay again!!!"

"Great hotel, staff was very friendly and helpful ( they even gave us an umbrella to use for a rainy day), room was small but functional, loved the morning delivery of coffee, breakfast was great. Hotel is very close to restaurants, Michigan ave, bars, etc. Definitely would stay here again!"

"I have never written a review about my hotel stay, but I feel the ACME deserves that level of recognition. I was looking for a place to stay in the middle of July and coincidentally during the Taste of Chicago, the ACME was at least $60 dollars cheaper a night than the surrounding hotels in the area. The location is stellar; a two-minute walk to the red line and 5 minute walk to Michigan Ave. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room and bathroom were very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. My room had a large (46') Samsung TV, which was appreciated. The room was small yet completely functional. There was no closet but there were a pair of hooks on the wall for hanging clothes. Honestly my only compliant would be that the mini-fridge was essentially a vending machine and I couldn't use it to store beers. I would definitely stay there again."

"Reserved a room with a king-size bed, but when we arrived the room that was given to us had a queen (or smaller). Called the front desk to switch to another room, but was told that the room we were in did indeed have a king-size bed and that an additional fee would apply if we were to move to another room. Huh? Spoke to someone else, and we were finally given a satisfactory room, for no extra charge. After that minor fiasco, the actual hotel stay was comfortable (however, the 'regular' rooms are a bit cramped, with no closet). Very good location for travelers, and a nice perk to have hot coffee brought up to the room in the morning for free."

"I wasn't sure what kind of hotel amce was becuase of some the bad reviews posted. First of all the location is prime its on Ohio street and is walking distance to everything. The rooms are on the smaller end but most are in Chiacgo. My room was clean and the bed was comfortable. One odd thing about this hotel is that there are no coffee makers in the rooms. 'when you check in they try to sell you coffee which I thought was kind of odd. The hotel did give breakfest during my stay which had coffee some other small breakfest items. Starbucks is across the street its really not needed to buy there coffee they try to sell. Another odd thing about the room is there is no alram clock or no where to hang your clothes ..you have to hang them on the wall. The room is small but the Samsung flat screen is nice. The bed was comforatable and the bathroom was nice. This hotel is not a 5 star but the location is prime and rooms are clean. I would stay here again if I found a good rate becuase the location and clean rooms although on the smaller end. "

"What a joke... Reception informs us that we can sign up for free morning coffee delivered to our room, 'Morning Joe'. Sure, signed up for 6:30am. First morning was great, it was waiting in a thermos outside our door. 2nd morning, no thermos. Called FD, 'Oh, you wanted it each morning?'. 3rd morning, no thermos, called FD, ' so sorry, we didn't know u wanted it each morning'. Are you serious? ...... no clock or radio of any kind, two brackets on the wall I guess is considered a closet, no holder for the toilet paper, you set it on the counter or floor. We were asked upon arrival would we prefer a low or high floor room. We chose high floor. Our room was on the 11th floor. Open the black pull down shades to find we are looking at the side of a brick building! Did it really matter what floor we were on? 2nd day we ran out of shampoo & body wash. Housekeeping replaced the bottles, but unfortunately, she left all body MOISTURIZERS! no body wash, no shampoo. another phone call to the Front Desk. Our coffee condiments were not replenished, another call to FD. For this amount of money, we expected alot more 'Comfort'."

all in all a very enjoyable experience for a 40th wedding anniversary gift from our kids to make us feel forever young!"

"The hotel was nice! We reserved a King room and were given a Queen so that was a bit disappointing. Also, really my only complaint is the the doors are very loud! You can hear every door shutting in the hallway like there was nothing separating you. Our room was right by the housekeepers closet so it was non-stop! But, great location and really nice people."
