Just 1-1/2 blocks off Michigan Ave, and right next to the Red line station. If you are driving in, they have a deal on parking in the adjacent lot - this is a big deal for downtown Chicago!! This is a Rock & Roll themed hotel, without trying too hard. Very fun and relaxed. No pool but there is a nice bar by the lobby. I would be happy to stay here again.

Large 2-double-bed room, nice linens, good graphics on the walls, very cool setting, hip furnishings, up-to-date subway tile bathroom with rainhead shower, good water pressure, and fluffy towels. Couldn't figure out what was missing. Then it hit me -- the view. There was none. The shades were drawn because one window looked directly into another guest room and the other was 20 feet from a parking garage. But once you're in the cocoon, it's a good cocoon. Needed an inexpensive but comfortable place close to a convention hotel just north of the river. Acme filled the bill in every way. Room was smallish but clean, all the amenities. Free wi-fi -- gotta love that. Very funky vibe, heavily into the 70s-80s music scene, gotta love that too. Pleasant, hip staff. Close to all near north attractions and easy to get to -- Grand Ave. station on the Red Line, about a 3 minute walk from there. And the two best parts: (1) great value (I saved $200/nig... Read more

Stayed with my mom for 4 nights in a double queen room. Unfortunately the way the hotel is arranged, the view from the windows is a parking lot 12 ft away and a square courtyard where you can see into the apartments across. Because of this we had to keep our curtains drawn for most of our stay. There are no other options for this type of room. The location for this hotel is FANTASTIC! And car parking fees are one of the lowest I've seen at $39/day w/ in and out. The fresh coffee in the morning ... Read more

The cool thing about this hotel is the lounge, the Berkshire Room. Great vibe, always meet interesting people and the bartenders are knowledgeable, professional and attentive. My girlfriend and I stayed here for a night in June 2016. When we got there we were pleasantly surprised as by just how cool it was. We stay in a lot of hotels and I usually feel that most just don't have a personality, there is nothing unique about them, one hotel room looks like every other with their cream walls, dark patterned carpets, bulk art , you've seen one you've seen them all. ACME is different! The art around the hotel is cool, the decor is pretty sweet in general, Big lip prints on ... Read more

Our family of 4 stayed here for a few days while my husband was attending a conference. The hotel's location was really ideal--close to everything, just a block from a full-service grocery. The place is a little dark, but it served just fine as a home base while we were exploring the Chicago area. Loved having the in-room refrigerator and microwave. Would definitely consi... Read more

Rooms are small, but perfectly comfortable for two people. Love the decor - fun and quirky. When I say "reasonable", it is still pretty expensive, but compared to the other hotels near or on Magnificent Mile, it's one of the cheapest. The hotel is two blocks from Michigan Avenue and within walking distance to other touristy places such as the Millennium Park and Art Institute of Chicago. It is just one block away from the Red Line Grand Station, and about 15 minute walking distance to the Blue Line which takes you to and from the airport. Atmosphere was hip and fun, rooms clean, half the staff was really friendly and helpful, the other half was not rude, but they were not in danger of being too nice. Requested coffee the first day and it never came so I gave up on that. Side note: If you get dry cleaning and you put one copy of the carbon receipt in the bag (as directed) the ink can bleed onto the shirt. Right in the heart of the action downtown, just a couple blocks west of Michigan Avenue. This funky-styled property doesn't look like much from the outside but it's a well-hidden gem. Priced significantly lower than similar properties in the area but with all the perks and more of the more well known properties. Rooms are tight, but why are you hanging out in the room anyway? =) Added bonus, the Berkshire Room is right next to the lobby. Fabulous, creative drinks.

This is the second time at this hotel. Great location and hip rooms. Parking rates were resonalble and the location us within walking distance from all the major tourist spots. Never had breakfast there, but it looked like they had a good selection.

overall experiance was good, they have a clean, remodeled hotel. the staff at the front are very knowledgeable. the bar/ lounge was average, the waitresses wear night gowns, the drinks skim on the alcohol, and give more filler. hard to find, they dont have a sign that sticks out like other hotels. its very easy to walk right by the building.

I chose the hotel first for location, second for the reasonable rate for the parking garage, and it is unique. We were on a road trip, so I thought this would be more memorable. We were able to walk to everything. Only problem was one elevator was working and we were on the 11th floor. There was some construction going on in the small lobby. It didn't interfere with us.

Staff was great, bed was super comfortable, and the hotel overall was a great environment. Right in the center of downtown. We both really enjoyed our stay and the staff was always accomodating to any needs we had.

I love to stay in a hotel that provides something different and Acme was spot on. I stayed with my husband and 2 boys. The magnificent mile is very close. Clean rooms with hip decor. The front staff was super friendly. Cannot come up with a single complaint.

Great hotel ! Location is outstanding and staff was friendly. Would recommend to younger travelers , although we felt welcome. Very hip & tech-forward. Rooms were modern and building is well-maintained.

No coffee or coffee maker in the room. morning coffee delivery did not happen even after three requests!!! Front facing room had a lot of street noise. Elevator was extremely slow. Location was good for a downtown visit.

It was our first visit to Chicago and we decided to book Acme Hotel because of the positive reviews. We had a warm welcome at our arrival and we were given a room at the upper levels as we had requested. The room as well as the bathroom were spacious enough for us two for our 4-day visit. The room has a minibar, but you can't fit your own drinks or food in it. If you remove an item from the fridge you have to pay for it. The hotel has a popular bar that might bother you if you stay at the second... Read more

Great trendy hotel close to the subway, Michigan Avenue and many restaurants. There's also a supermarket across the street. Free coffee in the morning delivered to the room is a nice add-on. Lounge is a nice place to unwind after a long day.

2nd stay at the Acme. Great location and great rooms for visit to Chicago. Unfortunately wallet was stolen one block from hotel. Dani and Michelle were helpful with contacting appropriate folks and giving support. Appreciated courtesy and compassion.

The room was clean (a little small) and nicely decorated. The staff was great. Parking was easy and the location is convenient to everything. Nice little boutique hotel with just the right amenities for comfort. You won't be sorry.

It was nothing fancy, but quite adequate for the price. It is only two blocks from Michigan Avenue and the Redline El stop. It was decorated in an interesting style. It had a nice bakery similar to a Starbucks and an upscale bar on site. The bartender was a true mixologist.

I read several reviews about the hotel and most of the comments were accurate. This is at a perfect location, on Ohio between State and Dearborn so you are walking distance to just about everything in River North. The elevators were super cool as they were filled with pictures of Eurythmics, David Bowie, Styx and other legendary bands AND they played music. We were very pleasantly surprised when they told us we had the suite. The room was a great size with the bedroom on one side and a sitti... Read more

Love the decor, location and vibe of Acme. Only "minus" was that we received an email a few days prior and reiterated request for highest floor possible and early check in and not sure either of these was even noticed (front desk person seemed to not even know about requests??) Not a big deal but sort of defeats the purpose in their pre arrival outreach. I would still definitely stay here again!!
