My trip to Illinois was long but I stayed at a great hotel off of the interstate and really enjoyed the staff.

OK but this time we had to paid more. cause the only clean room that was single bed was the handicap room that had a shower only. And I wanted bath tub. So had to take two beds and paid more. Not my fault cause help didn't show up . And almost all the rooms were dirty that day. Any other time I would rate them higher.

The room was small (mirco), The "breakfast" was breads and bagels (still in store wrappings) served out of a Tupperware container. Coffee cups - mirco in size. I received a note next to my bed stating "that there was a towel missing and I would be charged" if I did not return it. Signed "The manager" Not that it matters - towels are scratchy and paper thin- I did not take their towel. No one I spoke to could resolve the issue. All 3 said all they could do Is leave a message for the manager. ... Read more

Almost everything was very acceptable. My only complaint was the lower fitted sheets didn't fit. The rolled up over the sides exposing the mattress and mattress pad. We tucked it in and it rolled up again.

Booked reservation through Microtel website using ebates.com. When I checked in the front desk clerk told me my reservation indicated Travel Deluxe was my travel agent. Don't know who that is. After the second night I asked the front desk if there would be a problem checking out one day early. I was assured there was no problem since I paid with my credit card and not a voucher. Went I checked out, a still different clerk, could not find my reservation. Seems I had been already checked out. ... Read more

I reserved a room through Wyndham rewards when the Baymont did not have the nights available to continue. Drove over to the place. Saw that it was in the middle of nowhere, desolate and far from any restaurants and my activities. Called Wyndham Rewards reservation line the evening before and cancelled Microtel, booked Super 8 which was much closer. Asked and was assured they had cancelled Microtel and I would not be charged. Called back in to double check and was again assured it was cancelled ... Read more

Filthy. Carpet in hall ways were torn, ragged, dirty. Couch in the lobby looked like it was over 15 years old, used by students in a frat house and had been picked up off the street after sitting outside for a couple of weeks. "Breakfast" was a plastic storage tub with bread; orange juice was good. Undoubtedly the worst Microtel I have ever visited (and I make a point of using them whenever I travel).

This Microtel was dirty, ripped & worn carpet in rooms & public areas. The furniture in the lobby area was dirty & broken down. The breakfast was bread, muffins, cereal a few yogurt containers (5) , the orange juice was off color and taste. The room we had had a terrible odor, dead bugs in the bathroom, carpet was so dirty we were concerned to walk on it without shoes. This location needs to be investigated by the health department and corporate representives.

It was not a hotel it was like a motel, outdate. , I found hair in shower. The rug was old and wet, one morning i have a bite on my neck. The price included free wifi and breakfast; well, never had internet and the dining room and the breakfast was nasty, bagels and bread on a box, not individually packed that's not hygienic.Every morning we bought breakfast out. The worst part: they pre-charge with no cancelation policy.

THE PLACE WAS QUIET, THE ROOMS CLEAN BUT THE BED WAS THE MOST UNCOMFORTABLE I HAVE EVER SLEPT ON. Plus I have trouble sleeping lying down sometimes and even though there was room, there was no overstuffed chair of any kind to sit in/sleep on...

Our room was very small. There couldn't have been more than 2 ft on either side of the bed, and maybe 3 feet at the foot. The A/C worked fine, but was just loud. The walls were paper thin. We could hear conversations (and other things) coming from the hallway and rooms opposite of ours. The blanket on the bed was stained and had hair sticking to it. The bottom sheet would not stay in place. I woke up a couple of times to find my husband lying on the bare mattress! Yuck! The bathroom was... Read more

My only disappointment was the breakfast. Coffee, juice, loaves of bread and bagels, pb&j packets. Other than that, I was just there to sleep.

I have been staying at this hotel chain for many years, this has to be the worst I have ever seen!!! The outside looks good at night, but in daylight is dirty, trash cans full, cigarette stand full of butts in floating water. The elevator was broke, water fountain broke ice machine leaking on floor of breakfast room. All of these hotels normally have one of the best breakfast options I have seen, not this one a toaster with loafs of bread in a plastic tote no tongs every person will be handling ... Read more

At a very reasonable price, we had a clean room and hot shower. There were lots of places we could have stayed, of course, but we chose this one. The male attendant that evening was super nice. While checking us in for the weekend, he brought us "up to date" on the events taking place not only there but elsewhere. Told of a great spot to eat and have a drink. I like doing these reviews and hope the next time we're looking for a place to stay, the whole truth is told and not just the good. OR BAD... Read more

Although the outside of this hotel looks good, the inside is another thing! During our visit the elevator didn't work, the hotel itself was dirty, our air conditioning was very noisy, the bed was old, the pillows were flat, breakfast consisted of only packaged items, parking was limited, the decor was dated, and the list goes on and on

Holes in the carpet bed sheets barely covering the mattress and the advertised breakfast two loaves of bread a toaster, a few pieces of fruit and a few bottles of juice. The code was good and fresh so I was ok until I could find a McDonalds. This is my second bad experience at s Wyndham so from now on I will drive a little farther.
