The staff was helpful and friendly and the room comfortable and clean with VERY hot water and great water pressure. The fitness center was a tiny room containing 3 machines, but at least it had a source of drinking water. When I booked the room, it seemed that breakfast was included if there were up to three in a room, but there was a charge if there were more. But when we checked in we were pleasantly surprised when we were told that all four of us could have the free breakfast (which was good ... Read more

We visited here with my wife on the way to Route 66. The hotel was excellent for the money. It was super clean and had very good free breakfast. Bed was very comfort. I'm going to recommend it if someone comes near Chicago.

Spent the night recently and it is a very nice hotel. Took a shower at about 10 pm and water was lukewarm at best, shower head fell apart while I was in and it hit me as a part flew off. ran the hot water with no cold and still did not get close to being hot shower again in the morning and lukewarm. Mentioned this to front desk staff who seemed indifferent . First hotel I've ever had cold showers in..will not return because of that breakfast area is a little crowded but lots of seating and great... Read more

This was chosen so that we didn't have to be directly in the city limits of Chicago. There is a refrigerator in the room that looks like it was a last minute decision. No microwave. The air conditioner was noisy and didn't cool very well on the far part of the room. The breakfast wasn't the greatest. They also don't offer a laundry area for the residents that are visiting. We called the Extended Stay hotel next door and was allowed to go there to do our laundry. Next time we visit, we wil... Read more

Stayed there in February of 2016. It did not "feel" clean or smell clean. Not enough outlets. Room was dusty. VERY thin blanket on the bed, I struggled to stay warm. Poor heating. I had paid for my room on Priceline. When I got there I had been given 2 rooms with a single full size bed, which would not work for out situation. I was charged extra for double beds for one room and a queen size bed for the other. This is unique for me because I have NEVER been charged to charge bed types and any hot... Read more

I arrive to the hotel and find that it took about 20 mins for me to get checked in.. this was mostly due to the people in front of me rather than the employee but the guy working the front desk seemed somewhat clueless. We get to the room and it was supposed to be a "Non Smoking" room and as soon as we walk in my family and I can instantly smell smoke. Not only this, but the room was the size of a postage stamp and a small infant would whine about the size of the pillows. Moreover, the pull out ... Read more

The costs to stay at this "old" hotel is too high. The only reason for the nightly costs is the location (near a couple of malls). It's smelly, the ceilings are very low in the lobby, and it lacks charm, among other things. I would not recommend staying here primarily because it needs a face lift and not worth the price.

I drove 1,000miles to Chicago. I stay here for two nights. The room is very clean and no smell at all. The breakfast was to crow I went there around 9.30am and no where to sit to eat breakfast. The parking lot was full at night time. My problem is the iron board in my room is broke. It can not hold(less than 1min), so it fall to my leg and I have a deep cut. It is my mistake that I did not check it before. I asked them for first aid kid, they do not have it:( I can not travel in chicago. It wast... Read more

Good thing McDonald's and some other options are close. Powdered eggs that taste like powdered mashed potatoes. Coffee awful too. Price and location are good but would not stay again simply because of the breakfast. Lots of seating in lounge area. No queen beds avail but you can get a king & pullout couch

This independently owned small chain hotel is designed to capture a small market share of the hotel traffic and market, it is not there to compete with the Westin, Marriot, Hyatt place or Embassy Suites. Judging from the pic you see posted by consumers, most consumers would be a little apprehensive about choosing this hotel, but my experience was different from what you see in the photos. First, the Hotel staff were cordial, knowledgeable, and friendly. They knew the in and outs of dealing with ... Read more

I really liked this hotel. I'm sensitive to indoor mold, chemicals, and wifi so based on reading reviews, I decided to give this hotel a try. I really liked it. Check in was fast, the room was very large and clean, but without toxic cleaner smell. The only odd thing about the set up was that the TV was in front of the bed instead of the couch. I didn't sleep very well, but think that was likely due to my reaction to the wifi (which happens at every hotel). I had a cooler of food so I ate i... Read more

I was very impressed with the customer service provided by the staff. After driving all night, the desk clerk didn't hesitate to let us check into an available room and invited us to take advantage of breakfast service. The following morning I offered to pay for our visiting son to join us for breakfast, and the clerk extended the courtesy at no charge. We had a great experience at an affordable price.

Based on Trip Advisor reviews we booked this hotel for one night and we were very pleased with our stay. By far the most affordable hotel in the neighborhood at $71 and the room was clean, quiet, and roomy. Good mattress. Nice professional staff. Next door to the best Greek food in Chicago area. Highly recommend this place

I have stayed here several times and the staff has always been friendly and very helpful. The rooms are clean and very nice. The hot breakfast has a nice variety and always taste good. I would recommend Stay Inn to my friends and family. Hunter and all staff members are always friendly and very professional when dealing with everyone who stays here. I would stay here again.

Originally booked this hotel for three nights as I found a good deal, and the reviews where great. But I checked out after one night as it was really far from downtown Chicago. The hotel it self is excellent, and would highly recommend staying there if you need to be in the Lombard area. But if your looking to see downtown then get a hotel a bit closer. There is a train which goes from Lombard to the main city centre but this takes over an hour each way. The hotel had really friendly staff,... Read more

We were surprised by the cleanliness of this hotel: outside, lobby, corridors and rooms. There's permanently staff cleaning everything. The rooms look the same as in the pictures. The only disappointment was that we had to wait 30 mins while the receptionist dealt with 3 people in front of us. The area is quiet, about 30 minutes from downtown Chicago. You can drive to Forest Park terminal blue line subway station (about 15 mins) and park your car there for $5 for 12 hours. Overall, we loved this... Read more

Came on a one day trip to Chicago, my budget was below a $100, found Stay Inn online at $67, was skeptical but wanted to save. However once I checked in I was surprised, great area, excellent cleanliness. Fast wifi, good very clean rooms. TV is basic but quality of transmission is excellent. It included a free breakfast (basic) but who wants more!! Love it. Better than most chains around. I was in Chicago a week earlier in a chain branded hotel, this is by far much better. Highly recommended

A/c broke had to turn off at 2 am so I could sleep ! Ref in room also was making noise! Talk to person at desk said would you like to change room , I was just walking out for the night to be with my grand kids. Told people at desk in morning and they said sorry but that was it. When I got back to KY I had left my shaving kit in room #105 So I call and ask if they would sent to me and they said I have to send them a box to do so with postage on box , I ask because of the bad room would you sen... I chose to stay here because of the reviews. They were right. This is a great place for the money. The place is very clean and very nice. Close to Yorktown mall and many places to eat. The furniture is a little "used" but I will take that any day when the place is sooooo clean. I will definitely stay here again and tell others how great it is also.

The staff was very nice and welcoming upon arrival. The beds are fine and room is equipped with a nice mini fridge however the one thing they are lacking are outlets. There is an outlet in the desk lamp but it's very loose and anything you plug in doesn't hold and therefore if you think you are charging your cellphone, you're not which leaves you with the only choice left... the plug in the bathroom. The bathtub should have something on the base of the tub, my husband slipped upon entering a... Read more
