Yes this is a HIE but it it over the top nice. Seems very new and fresh. Room is super large. Two very comfortable beds and great pillows. A sofa was also furnished. Common area is nicer than most HIE. Adequate parking and a great checkin staff. Really enjoyed our stay here.

From checking in till you leave it is friendly and clean. This place is worth passing the Hampton Inn on the bottom and following the road to the top. They offer so much more. There is a Keurig coffee pot, microwave, and fridge in your room, which the Hampton does not offer. The view is excellent. When you look out the windows the surroundings look as if they are fake. Our room smelled cleaned and was very clean. The breakfast offered a great choice, and the view made it romantic. I can't wait t... Read more

Newer property situated on a hill top over looking Pocatello. Friendly front desk staff, spacious clean rooms. Close to restaurants and gas so you don't have to go far to eat and fill up. I would stay here again the next time I am in Pocatello

This was our second time staying here. Once again had a rewarding stay as this hotel has beautifully appointed rooms along with a great continental breakfast. Highly recommended!!!! We had a 2 queen balcony room. Such of an amazing view of the city! Also easy access to I-15.

Super loud with kids running all over the place...even with a call to the front desk it continued until 11pm and started again at 6am. The hot tub wasn't even hot..Luke warm at best with only one jet working...and full, of noisy kids. No exhaust in the bathroom. Would not stay here again.

We spent one night on our way from the Salt Lake City airport to Yellowstone National Park. I highly recommend a balcony room with a view of the City of Pocatello. We had a third floor room with such a view. The room was in great shape. The breakfast was quite good. The view was amazing.

Very impressed with this hotel. Easy to find off the freeway, and a beautiful view of the valley. Check in was speedy, rooms are very nice & good size. The entire place seems brand new. We are in a room with a king bed & kids suite, which is an awesome option. FYI - there is no separate door in the kids suite, which would have been nice, but still worth the small price difference for their own place. Very happy we chose this hotel.

This hotel is clean and the staff are attentive. The room was large, clean and comfortable. As a newer hotel the sound insulation is great so there is none of the running-up-and-down-the-halls noise typical of older hotels. Everything works well, from the quiet air conditioner to the limited but well functioning gym equipment. The breakfast was buffet style but there was a wide selection of food, the areas were clean and there was ample seating. Finally, the views are great from this hillsi... Read more

Very quiet and clean room. Front desk staff was efficient, friendly, and helpful. Enjoyed the pool. Breakfast had the usual choices of food; staff was efficient and courteous. Beautiful view from the common area but signage from Center St. could be better.

We often stay at Holiday Inn Express hotels and this was a very nice one. It is a new property which helps, but it was the staff that set it apart. From the front desk staff that were very efficient and friendly (good recommendation for dinner that included a 10% discount) to the breakfast staff (food was the same, but they were right on top of keeping it full and asking folks if they needed help) they were awesome.

We were celebrating an anniversary and decided to return to Pocatello where we met. The Holiday Inn Express & Suites has a wonderful view of the city, the Idaho State campus, and the Bannock Mountains. We had a king bed suite with balcony. The room was spacious and it did have a balcony. The drawback was that there was one chair (the rolling desk chair) that could be placed on the balcony, with the rest too heavy and too big. For a romantic get-away it would have been nicer to have two chairs ... Read more

Knew a friend that worked for a Holiday Inn where we live and asked about hotels in Idaho, and she recommended this new hotel. If you get a chance to stay in a family suite, do, your kids will love you for it, with PlayStation, bunk beds, separate rooms and lots of room for the family to spread out.

Pocatello ended up being about 2 and 1/2 hours from all the sites we wanted to visit. We stayed at this hotel for 6 wonderful nights. The staff is friendly, helpful, and a lovely breakfast. We found the breakfast staff very attentive, constantly refilling, and a wealth of knowledge to make our trip even better. The rooms are updated, clean, roomy with a microwave and refrig. We enjoyed the 24 hour pool, laundry service, and the business center was full of extras. My kiddos were amazed and t... Read more

Hotel looks new and is very clean. Rooms are well appointed and roomy. Some even have balconies. If holiday inn would only improve their breakfasts. You get tired of the fake eggs and soggy meats. I don't know why they don't just charge $5 more and give you a decent breakfast. Breakfast notwithstanding, the hotel is very nice.

We flew into Salt Lake City so this was our stopover heading to Yellowstone. I had asked for high floor but got the 2nd floor instead of 3rd which was no issue. However it did appear from the key card that we originally had a third floor room but were told we were 'upgraded' to a suite where the only difference was it had a separate room with bunk beds - not sure how this is a bonus to a couple with no kids! It is a little difficult to see how you get to the hotel but just head up Via Venitio a... Read more

We spent on night here on our way to Yellowstone. After a little difficulty, we found our way up to the hotel. It sits high on a hill overlooking the town. After that, everything was great. Our keys were ready when we walked to the front desk. Our room was spacious, spotless and the decor was very nice. As this sort of hotel goes (i.e. HI Express, Hampton Inn etc), this is as good as it gets. The rooms were really nicely appointed and spotless. Its a new hotel so there was no visible wear and tear. All the staff we encountered were warm and very professional. It looked as if there were games consoles in one of the shared spaces to keep kids busy and there is a pool (although we used neither). It's at the top of a hill with a great view over the town. At the time of writing, the price of a... Read more

Very nice modern hotel, one of the nicer Holiday Inn Expresses we've stayed at. Newer everything with really nice layout view of Pocatello. Room's are spacious and pool area was very nice. Continental breakfast area was also spacious with good variety of food. My only complaint is hearing foot steps at 5 in the morning having a second floor room. We've been traveling for 16 days throughout Montana, with stops in Idaho and Utah on our way to and from CA. Watch out for these hosers. They try to lure you into a non refundable booking by offering a rate a few bucks less than a refundable rate and if you inadvertently select the non refundable you can kiss your money goodbye if you need to cancel even if it's 10 minutes later.

Stayed here two nights on business. I must use a corporate lodging company and got a $59 room rate. Totally worth it. This property is new with great vistas from a balcony. Front desk staff were friendly and efficient. Room was spacious and work friendly. Everything worked well, plenty of outlets to charge my plethora of electronics and equipment. Clean. I didn't have time for breakfast in the morning but grabbed a milk and a coffee. Would I stay here again? Absolutely.

For a series of short stays while on a cross-country trip, I normally don't have overly high expectations beyond a clean room, hot shower, comfortable bed, quick WIFI, modern TV, and efficient service. More than willing to shuttle us around. Staff all talkative and friendly. Nice room. Note that although they serve breakfast, you will have to go out to eat.
