The hotel is close to a highway, but the windows are good and so we had a restful sleep. The breakfast is good and the service excellent. Late check out is no problem. The lobby welcomed us very nice and we felt immediately at home.

Ive stayed at this hotel several times in the last few years while travelling to Coeur d Alene on business. While the hotel itself is lovely (clean rooms, friendly staff, etc.), the wireless for my business computer was not working the entire week I stayed. (The rest of my devices connected no problem) I checked in 4/24 and I'm checking out 4/29. I placed a call to the hotels Tech support the first night to report the issue. I have never stayed at a hotel with such wonderful service as this Holiday Inn Express in Coeur D'Alene. The entire staff, especially Ashlynn, was so warm and welcoming and that includes their cute dog Dodger!! They also gave me a bike for 2 days free of charge. The rooms were clean, the happy hour was amazing and the property was beautiful. I would stay there in a heart beat again.

Friendly staff 5. 3 x a week managers reception CONS: 1. HIE has my least favorite free breakfast 2. Pool is placed for little privacy 3. no restaurant in walking distance

Cookies at bedtime and a free brunch compliment comfortable rooms, but as a frequent traveler: I can tell you that there are better values in Coeur d'Alene with the same amenities. Try one of the on-line travel sites (like TRIPADVISOR) before you stay here. Pet friendly.

Me and my family had to travel to Coeur d Alene, ID because my father passed away. It is not an ideal reason to travel and stay in a hotel, we were heart broken. But the Holiday Inn Express became our little sanctuary through the awful process after a loved one passes away. We would be out all day taking care of matters and were exhausted when we arrived at the hotel. We would all get our bathing suits on and relax in the wonderful indoor pool. This was our third trip, and each time we were here for nearly a week. Jessica, Mike and all the other front desk staff were fab. With kindness and smiles, they went beyond what I would have expected to help us in our specific needs. Paula, Jackie and Hazel were the breakfast buffet staff. Their assistance and conversation made us feel like we were visiting friends. The food was great. Nothing ever ran out, because they were continually restocking with more 'hot and fresh.' Great place to stay. The staff were welcoming and courteous. Ironman 70.3 participants even received a packed goody bag with coupons, lotions, water, small towel and snacks! Location was convenient to downtown. The breakfasts were way more than granola and yogurt! We had eggs, pancakes, fresh fruit, and various beverages. They even had dinner 2 with beer and wine 2 nights in a row. The cookies and milk were great in the evening! Thank you, Melody Forsman!

Great inexpensive spot with great amenities, easy on/off of the freeway and clean. Was certainly not expecting the service and room that we got from a Holiday Inn Express. Our family is a huge fan of the Holiday Inn Express chain for short stays. We spent the night here going from Portland to Flathead Lake Montana. Great rooms, easy breakfast that has healthy choices if you want them (yay! Turkey sausage!). There were bikes to borrow & a firepit for evenings. Perfect stay!
