Even though their website says early check in, good luck. We had driven 22hrs straight and booked a room early morning for the same afternoon. Even cked with corporate to assure the 1pm check-in. Woman at corporate was very friendly &helpful, even checking with the hotel to make sure. NO Problem...until we tried to check in and front desk employee/manager would not honor the request. Her words were "They didn't talk to me, so no. Ck in is 3pm, Ck out is at 11. End of discussion". Came back... Read more

With out a doubt this is the worst motel I've stayed at in 5 years. The carpeting was disgusting. Would have been better with a dirt floor. Toilet bowl was dirty and hadn't been cleaned in weeks. No shampoo and bed lights were unplugged when I checked in. TV stinks. The only positive was the water pressure and hot water. Woman at front desk was nice and maintenance man came fast to correct crappy setup so I could watch crappy TV. Stay here if your desperate. You have been warned.

When this run-down motel was purchased by Howard Johnson's I thought it would be upgraded which it was somewhat. I planned to stay there two nights. The room we were given was not acceptable to be rented to anyone. Little did I know there was no running water for the shower or bath and it was under repair. It was very dirty. The next day when I requested a change of rooms it was as if this was my fault! The second room was much better but I definitely should not have had to pay for the first nig... Read more

I came in late, about 11 PM, after a very long day on the road and had a little trouble finding the property. The desk attendants gave me excellent instruction on the phone. When I finally arrived I was greeted with a friendly demeanor. Because I needed to be on the road before the breakfast bar was going to be set up, the desk attendant offered to have a pot of coffee ready for me. She also brought out a couple of muffins and a banana for me. Very thoughtful.

We were looking for a place to stop for the night that was pet friendly. This place was reasonable priced, well set up to handle a dog in the room. The breakfast was pretty average. A waffle iron was the big point in the breakfast bar, but the room was clean, had a refrigerator and microwave. All in all, I would stay here again on my way through town. It was close to lots of restaurants and the airport.

I realize that you get what you pay for but even if I paid $10 a night it would be too much for this place. The dead bolt wouldn't lock, the carpet was dirty and stained, the curtain had a huge stain, the overall appearance worn and dated, only good thing was the mattress was decent but that's not enough to get me to stay here again, spend the extra $$ and go elsewhere.

I wouldn't waste my money on this place. If it wouldn't have been 2am we would have gone somewhere else. We paid for a King size bed and got a queen at best. The bed spread had Dog hair all over it. The carpet was filthy. The dead bolt didn't work. It was right next to the freeway so lots of noise. Very industrial neighborhood. To begin with, this Howard Johnson motel is sandwiched between a Wal-Mart parking lot and the interstate highway, making traffic noise inside the rooms about equal to a tv at half-volume. The walls were dirty and the carpets were badly stained. Even with a nearly nauseous odor of disinfectant, stronger still is the stink of tobacco that permeates the furniture and both mattresses which were lumpy and sagging. The pillows were 1/4 of normal size. The entry door lacked a deadbolt and showed signs ... Read more

Our direct tv box was missing, the maintenance man never made it to our room. Our bed was so disgusting and didn't look like it had been cleaned in months, and we had no toilet paper in our room whatsoever. Which resulted in us purchasing our own because we couldn't find anyone in the downstairs office. We will never return! And found a different hotel for the duration of our stay.

The tv didn't work because off a missing direct tv box. The tub drain was also missing. Lots of excuses but no fixes.

Let me start off by saying I have not stayed at a Howard Johnson motel since I was a kid on the annual family road trip/vacation. Howard Johnson used to be a very nice motel with a great restaurant attached, immediately recognizable by the bright orange roof. Don't look for that any more. I stayed at the Howard Johnson in Boise recently by necessity. I needed a cheap night at a motel as my residence was having interior work done. HoJo was the cheapest. That should have clued me in. The lo... Read more

The matress was clean, the sheets questionable, had a dark greaselike stain on the top corner, but they smelled laundered. the carpet was absolutely disgusting. Stains all ove the carpet, counted 26 and stopped counting. The pillows were a joke. The refrigerator growled so loud we had to unplug it, so we could not use it. Our room was surprising quiet we were on the back side of the building next to Walmart. I made the mistake of looking behind the bedside tables, yuck, They had never seen the v... Read more

Bad experience. Hard to find the hotel, we literally had to have a police escort since it is now hidden behind a Walmart. Poorly maintained, bathroom door had been punched in and not repaired. Our daughter, who travels alot, was afraid to walk barefoot in the room because of the condition of the carpet. This delapidated hotel hotel should be an embarrassment to the Wyndham chain.

I went to check in, the girl working the desk wasnt friendly at all. I had a coupon for a lower rate, but because I couldnt find it she wouldn't honor it. The rooms were gross &-filthy, found a nail on my bed under the comforter. The bathroom not clean and the rooms stunk.

Stayed here for five nights, booked for six. Internet hit or miss, we could not get internet most of the time. Rooms smell horrible, with fowl odor in restroom. We opted to not have the room serviced daily, however on the day we did ask for it to be be cleaned, they only vacuumed the room. They never even touch the restroom. We travel for work so most of our nights are spent in hotels, some are better than others. This by far is one of the worst. The big joke came when we checked out a day earl... Read more

Floors dirty and leaves on the floor which indicates the floor hasn't been vacuumed. Carpeting has large burn in the middle of the floor. Doesn'teven have a box of facial tissues. No raised commode in handicapped bath. Sink drain drips and floor is stained. Plug above sink not functional. They want an additional $100 security deposit over and above leaving your credit card. Not even a dresser in the room. Very dated.

I was there do to business and I was paying to stay outside the room. The door wouldn't open due to complications with the card slide. Missed a business chat because computer was in the room and lost my job due to it.

It was dusty and very dingy. The carpet was horrible we left after midnight there. I tried to get the front desk to help me to another room but she said that was the only thing available to us . I want my money back.

Worse place I've stayed in many a year. Thought it'd be OK cause it's do close to everything, but I guess the homeless and crackheads have the same thinking. Room was tiny, hard bed, TV was new in 1975 probably. Cont. Breakfast consist of coffee and a waffle iron, no pastries, toast, muffins etc. I stayed 5 days and could stay no longer. They charged me 15k points plus $250 and I am a Wyndham diamond member. I called Wyndham rewards to complain but got nowhere. The points program is a big scam. ... Read more

This is the WORST hotel in Boise. Drug dealers and hookers stay there all the time. Our room had bed bugs, and the front desk lady had the nerve to say we brought them and refused to switch us rooms.

We are at Howard Johnson's at this very moment. If we had paid attention to the horrible reviews we would never have stayed here - and done ourselves out of a good room at a bargain rate. This is the second time in a week we have stayed here and the room is clean and good enough. In fact it is better than the first room we stayed in. I'm sure it is possible to get a bad room here but that hasn't happened to us. In fact, this beats the hell out of Motel 6 in Boise, which we stayed in before - muc... Read more

Nanette Wilson, asst gen mgr, was rude & discourteous. Room was run-down, carpet stained throughout, 1 of 3 lamps didn't work, blinds didn't close all the way, damaged "furnishings," minimal room service (housekeepers gone by 2 pm). Owners never offered helped.

The registration on line was easy, the front desk personnel answered all my questions and was able to accommodate my needs for a shuttle ride. The room was "okay" the towels had stains from past washing's. The drapes needed to be fixed the outside was visible. The shower floor looked stained and really needed a cleaning. But the stay was pleasant.
