Hello My family and I had an enjoyable experience at the Pacific Beach hotel. We were able to check in early and had the opportunity to stay in one of the newly renovated room....it was awesome!!! We had the coolest and most attentive housekeeping staff who made our stay there very enjoyable. Although we didn't get to enjoy the hotel's pool due to the renovations, the effort to accommodate the guests with the neighboring hotel's pool was very considerate. We are excited about the Pacific Beach's... Read more

We checked in early and were given the opportunity to stay in the newly renovated rooms. The room was perfect with a wonderful view of the ocean/city. I could not have been any happier with the customer service both in the main lobby and with the cleaning crew. Everyone was so nice and welcoming. The location was directly across from the beach and so convenient for access to the many shops in Waikiki and restaurants. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone staying in Waikiki.

I stayed here with my daughter for a 5-day break in Honolulu, in one of the recently renovated rooms on the 22nd floor. The room was large and well appointed, the bathroom was small but adequate. The hotel is well situated, a very short stroll to the Waikiki beach and to the shops. The hotel has chairs available for those who go down to the beach. The staff and the front desk were helpful and courteous. We didn't eat at the hotel restaurant as there were so many other enticing restaurants close ... Read more

This hotel is under renovation as we were in the older section. The bathtub and the sliding door was in need of repair. We believe the renovation will have these repaired. The room and bed was good. Also the room refrigeration was a help. We got recycled/reuseable plastic water bags but could not find the dispenser. Found the ice machine.

We stayed for 2 nights in a partial ocean view apartment. - The service: everybody was very nice and chill. Both the check-in and check-out were very smooth. - The room: was big, clean and it did have ocean views!!! Our room was on the 7th floor and we managed to see a couple of great sunsets from the balcony. - Location: right at the end of the busy street of Waikiki, which is perfect. Shops and dining places are right at the door without being loud enough. And the beach? One crosswalk away, ju... Read more

Had a wonderful stay here in a newly renovated room. Spacious and comfortable. The staff were engaging and nothing was too much trouble. One person (Casey, in case the manager reads these reviews) went out of her way to find us some glasses for the room - these are the touches that make a hotel welcoming and memorable. We will be back.

Being my first time to Hawaii the Pacific Beach hotel exceeded my expectations. Great location, short walk to the beach and wonderful service. The newly renovated rooms are beautiful and have views to match. The wait times for the lifts can be a little long and frustrating. Apart from that I have nothing but great things to say about this property. Will definitely be recommending this property to everyone!

Checkin was very easy and staff are very friendly. I knew before we went that some of the hotel had been upgraded and the other half wasn't. I was hopeful to get a new room. I was pretty disappointed that the room we were in was so old that it felt like the furniture was older than iam. Despite this the view was amazing! I would stay here again but probably after all renos have been done.

I went to this hotel last year with a friend and a young lady by the name of Kathrin Dixon arranged so many things for us to make our trip memorable. So this year I took my husband, son & his wife. We knew there were renovations going on, and there were a few problems, lifts, closed off areas, how to find the laundry, but Kathrin smoothed out these things for us and made our stay so much more enjoyable. 2017 everything will be completed, and it will be fabulous. We had the opportunity to stay here and be upgraded to one of their newly refurbished rooms in the Ocean Tower. One previous reviewer did comment about 4 lifts for 40 floors, I agree from time to time that could be very frustrating but overall certainly did not impact or deter from my overall rating of this hotel. We stayed at the Pacific Beach Hotel Oceanic Tower. Our balcony faced the beach and it was so restful sitting and watching the waves. The location is very convenient as it is at the end of Waikiki toward Diamond Head. Our only disappointment is that the hotel is in a much needed renovation. We were in an unrenovated room. Due to the rennovation, the pool was closed and the Aquarium has been empty for awhile. I had wanted to see the "mermaids" and dine by the tank. Once the tank is opened,... Read more

We got a "ocean view" room which i later found out has a side view of the ocean, but not necessarily ocean front view room. I fully understand that the hotel is under renovation, what I don't accept is that management pack guests into this hotel knowing that facilities are not working at peak capacity, therefore there is no adjustment for reducing guest numbers when facilities are not operational. We just returned from a stay at this hotel and can tell you that at one stage there were only 2 elevators online. Therefore this meant that there were queues of up to 15-20mins just to get onto an elevator. Many times we... Read more

Not even half of the elevaters worked so you would have to wait 20 minutes to go any where... you were not aloud to open the windows because they were painting, and the people paiting could see you inside of your room, one room had no hot water even... bunch of bums outside to.. not a fan of this hotel, they did NOTHING for any of us with all of the problems.

Staff was lovely. Front desk was easily located through the front door located on the Kalakakua Avenue. The parking is on the side street (which has McDonalds on the corner-When you see McDonalds, turn on that side street just before arriving at the front of the hotel). Rooms were clean & comfortabl... Just back from spending 2 weeks here. Prior to booking, we were made aware that the hotel was under renovation, we chose to book here anyways and had no issues with the renos. We were quite comfortable here - we were in a renovated room that had wonderful views of both the ocean and mountains. We really enjoyed sitting on our balcony with our coffee or wine. Minor issues prevent me from rating higher. We could not get the air conditioning to maintain a comfortable temperature. No matter ... Read more

Shortly speaking: 1. Be sure that you make reservation with ocean FRONT view room, because the hotel makes not honestly offers about "ocean view room" 2. If you hate garlic smell take another hotel and be sure that it will be more then 200 meters far from this hotel. 3. If you've been there before, and used 24fitness you should know now there is no 24fitness there, just a small room inside the hotel with 4-6 machines. 4. No Yogurtland in that building:) but I think that it's not as important thi... Read more

Stayed in a newly renovated OCEAN FRONT room. I have stayed here many times, so I knew the view would be awesome. The room now looks updated, BUT, there are some minor flaws: 1) Bathroom is still VERY SMALL, 2) NO clock in the room, 3) only one trash can in the entire room, 4) Light on smoke detector blinks every 2 seconds, and is in line of sight from the head of the bed, 5) No Movies on Demand/Pay per view option on TV, 6) New carpet in hallway and rooms makes a bad first impression...I thou... Got a twin room as a walk in customer for a very good price. Staff at reception were helpful and friendly. So much so i booked in for a couple of more nights later in the holiday. Room was clean, quiet and had good views despite the renovations. When departing the hotel we also left our bags here for a few hours. The gentleman in charge of that area could do with some customer service lessons but the bags were safe. Sadly the in room Internet was no good at all. Consequently I had to complet... Read more

Closely located to Waikiki Beach but the remodeling currently going on was very inconvenient. Ask about the extra charges before making a decision such as the amenities fee. For me, it was $20 a day. Also, the swimming pool and breakfast better not be something you're counting on since the swimming pool is just for swimming laps and the breakfast is a $13 per person buffet. You might find better deals for more.

Great location right across the road from the beach. We stayed in a newly renovated room on 10th floor with partial ocean view it was gorgeous waking up to this view & sitting on the balcony at sunset. However the renovations being undertaken were far most extensive than we were led to believe when we booked, no real resort facilities eg. restuarant, bar closed - we feel that everyone booked should have the resort fee $20/day deducted, until the hotel is back to full facilities. Also being woken... Read more
