"Hotel Wailea is not luxury suites. My family had 3 rooms. All three were
filthy. Black dirt on hard floors & stains all over carpet areas. Thick
sticky residue on refrigerator. Chipped up fixtures. & tiles. Old, horrible
smelling sofa. Do not stay here unless they have a serious makeover."

"Beautiful, tranquil, and elegant place to stay:)
My husband and I enjoyed the stay very much.
We loved the movie under the stars on Friday too!

They had a nice and clean spa, swimming pool, and fitness gym though we didn't have enough time to enjoy all the facilities.
The breakfast in the open lobby area was very enjoyable.
I especially liked the decorative fresh flowers placed around the premises.

We were a little disappointed with our bathtub draining slow at times.
Other than that, everything was just perfect!"

"Found a great deal for this resort online, decided to take my bf here for his birthday. The year prior, we stayed at another Diamond resort affiliated condo on the big island and were very pleased, was expecting the same here in Maui. When we arrived, it was earlier than check-in time, but the front desk said they would call us when our room was ready which was 30 minutes later. Allowed us to check in early, gave us a ride in a golf cart to our room. Beautiful grounds, get the panoramic ocean view room if you decide to stay. Rooms were nice but very open! Separate bath tub from shower, bad thing is it's right next to the bedroom with no closable door. View was beautiful but we had visitors - 2 roosters and a duck! Front desk staff were no joke - don't other with small talk with them. Everyone else is nice! Expect to pay $30 extra each night for use of the 'amenities'. You'll be charged upon check out. Also, if you have a kitchenette, you have to ask for pots and pans."

"The views were beauitful and the hotel was very nice. My only complaint is the fact that the room was dated. The bathroom was especially bad. The counter, sink and faucet were old, old, old. A few hundred bucks could have made the bathroom decent....didn't make sense.

We booked a tour through the hotel and it did not turn out well. It was the Hana tour. Beware, it wasn't what it was supposed to be. We informed the desk and they took note.

The staff was excellent.....very friendly and professional.

By the way, they have a $25.00 resort fee that is not optional. Couldn't understand why they didn't just add it to the room price."

"The Hotel Wailea was absolutely beautiful and the pictures of the grounds can't do it justice. It is something you need to see in person. We had stunning views of the sunsets each night from our room. The Capiche restaurant was wonderful and we can see why it was an award winner. A bit expensive but well worth it! Our only suggestion is for the hotel staff to have the groundskeepers trim the bushes down a bit more so all the views are open and unobstructed. Some of the landscaping is a bit overgrown and in the way of the views from the lower deck units. Wonderful place to stay and we will be back again."
