We had family breakfast for 5 at the Paia Inn with two small children, and it worked out well. This is an upscale breakfast environment with omelets made to order right in view and interesting local specialties. Our waitress was friendly and very competent. The food was lovely. The staff was tolerant of our little kids who behaved well, but did get off their tall stools to look about the roomy outdoor covered patio. The lox plate was very generous. My made-to order omelet was perfect. The kids' ... Read more

Wonderful Inn! We arrived to a handwritten note and a complementary bottle of wine! The staff was super duper helpful with local activities - above and beyond what you would expect. We were in the standard room, which was clean and comfortable. You literally are about 100 steps to the private beach area - there is a lovely restaurant on site for breakfast and lunch and outdoor patio, private seating close to the beach.

Our stay at the Paia Inn is exactly the reason why we stay in small boutique hotels and support small business! The entire staff, including the owner, went out of their way to make us comfortable, even after our departure! From the second we arrived the courtesy and professionalism of the Paia Inn was incredible. Wonderful people who want to make your stay enjoyable. If we are on Maui again we will be sure to come back to the Paia Inn!

Not wanting the typical resort experience on Maui, and wanting to drive the Road to Hana, Paia seemed to be a great spot to spend our three nights on the island. The website and reviews of The Paia Inn suggested that this was indeed a special place. The inn is beautifully decorated and the service is as good as it gets. Each employee we encountered really understood true hospitality and tried in every way to make our stay more enjoyable. One note, we had a standard room which was a bit small, an... Read more

Great stay for those looking for a unique vacation hotel or inn. Far away from hustle and bustle of lahaina area and local town of Paia offers real local flavor. Interior décor is created with a peaceful experience in mind. Room even came with its own wave machine to provide deep sleep. Beautiful grounds and own private access to beach. Room wasn't big but larger options available. Besides, who's sitting in their room when on the island of Maui? Recommend for those seeking funky, peaceful, an... Read more

We stayed 3 nights at the lovely Paia Inn. We had the town queen room which only had a small window in the bathroom so no natural light. The room was comfortable and well styled but small, so I wouldn't book this again if we were planning on spending time in the room. It was also fairly noisy. Not great value for money but we enjoyed our stay. Common areas and the ambience of the Inn are Lovely, as are the staff who were super helpful and friendly. The location is a highlight, right in the midd... Read more

Paia Inn doesn't look like much from the outside but don't be fooled. Even though it fronts onto a busy street, you'll feel wrapped in privacy and solitude from the time you enter the lobby. The rooms are on the small side but filled with luxuries. The bedding, art work, bathrooms, and so on are all excellent. The outdoor breakfast/lounge area and path to the beach (just a few yards) add to your growing sense of calm. For those who want something even more secluded there are a few freestanding u... This is our fourteenth stay at the Paia Inn. We keep going back because we love Hawaii but do not want to stay in a large tourist hotel, nor in the tourist locations. At the Paia Inn we are treated as family and truly get to live the Aloha spirit. Thank you to the owner, Michael Baskin, who lives and breathes hospitality. Each of the workers at the Inn are spectacular and greet us as old friends. The Paia Inn has added a brunch that is truly 5 stars. It is a lovely patio environment with ... Read more

We spent the first 2 nights of our 8 night Maui trip at the Paia Inn. Location is great in the middle of this cool town, easy walking to everything. We spent more time than we thought at the beach area. It was beautiful and not crowded at all and bonus....didn't have to drive anywhere! Rooms were a bit small but comfortable, stylish and clean. They provided everything and more you could need...sunscreen, bug spray, beach chairs, towels, etc. Staff super helpful and friendly too! If ever in Maui ... Read more

My wife and I had 3 days on Maui to visit family that lives upcountry. We decided to base ourselves in Paia to avoid any long drives to Kihei or Lahaina. The Paia Inn was a great choice. Located on the North Shire of Maui in little Paia Town, the Inn still offers a lot. Our room was on the Hana Highway side and although noise was not a big issue for us if it's something you are sensitive about try and book a room at the rear of the hotel. The hotel is beautifully decorated and features some tru... Read more
