I knew going in of the possibility of our room not being ready at THEIR check-in time of 4:00 p m (we were about 4:25) so it came as no surprise. My plan was for the resort to set up my wife & I at a bar (open tab) for the hour or so but alas no close restaurant or bar. A bottle of wine was quickly found & this was fine to watch the grandkids in the pool. At 5:50 kids were cold but room was STILL not ready. Now I expressed my displeasure & made it clear that this problem is discussed on travel s... Read more

We stayed at the Bali Hai villas for a week. We had a two bedroom unit (none of our friends or relatives were able to join us, unfortunately) so we had this huge place all to ourselves. Great accommodations, two full bathrooms, lovely kitchen, lanai, washer-dryer, plus all the amenities you can ask for. Wish my house was this well equipped! I love Hanalei town, the northern beaches and especially the hikes into Napali Cliffs. The scenery is stunning.

As a Wyndham owner, we stayed in a 1 bedroom ground floor unit for a week. Clean, comfortable, well appointed suite. Only concern was the extremely noisy family staying in the unit above us. Not a reflection on the resort, just on the parents who thought it ok to leave their children running wild while they went out for the day. We are definite looking forward to returning in the fall with family.

On a recent visit to Kauai, HI we stayed at the beautiful Bali Hai Villas Wyndham Resort in Princeville. This lovely resort is located in beautiful rolling hills surrounded by the mountains of Kauai. The setting is serene and peaceful. We had a three bedroom with a full kitchen and washer/dryer. Each bedroom had its own full bathroom! The location was ideal for exercise with a walking path along the golf course that leads to the Princeville Center. Located at the center is an array of ea... Read more

Kauai is a desirable rural (one road in-out) Hawaii location. Bali Hai is a typical interval resort facility: 2 pools, 3 hot tubs, exercise room, mostly 2 BR units, but located in the desireable Princeville (Resort Community) beach & surfing of the North Shore. Walking distance of an excellent golf course with six holes overlooking the ocean. But, especially like not having to 'clean up' at the end of our stay.

I can't say enough about this resort. My family of five stayed in a two bedroom unit on the upper level near the new pool and clubhouse. The units have been beautifully renovated with wood floors, new furniture, and upgraded kitchen and appliances. The view from our lanai was beautiful. We were overlooking the pool with the mountains jn the background. The unit was big and very comfortable. It had two huge bedrooms and bathrooms separated by the living room and kitchen. The units also come equip... Read more

I've been going to Kauai at least once a year since 2000 (RCI Travel Points) and the Wyndham Bali Hai in Princeville has become my favorite place to stay of all the islands of Hawaii. Although this resort is not on the beach, it's clean and the views and sunsets seen from the cliffs of Princeville are well worth it. And, it's only a 5 minute drive to Hanalei Bay, the most beautiful white sand public beach imaginable (it's where the movie South Pacific was filmed). The well landscaped resort has... Read more

We stayed at the Bali Hai Villas from 06/04/2016-06/11/2016 in a one-bedroom condo that was on the second floor. Upon arrival we were greeted with exceptional service. We received a fresh flower lei and shell lei which was a nice touch! We originally set to be on the first floor but they upgraded us to the second floor for free! (it's considered more premium because you get more tradewinds). The grounds were beautiful as you have a great view of nearby mountains. They have two pools which both... Read more

We are owners at Bali Hai and have been for 10 years. We chose this timeshare because the units are very nice and well maintained. The grounds are beautiful and the location in Princeville is excellent if you like the North Shore. The people there are very pleasant and very accommodating. Really nothing bad to say about the location, units, or people.

We got a lot of bang for our buck at this resort. Our package price for 3days/2nights including airfare from Oahu was $310/Person. At that price we expected very basic Accommodations. What we got was a 2 bedroom 2 bath apartment with full kitchen, dining area and living room. The only negative thing to report is that the hot water heater was not large enough to fill the Jacuzzi tub with hot water. Be aware, there is no AC in this facility. It is sort of open-air. This is not an issue. There is ... Read more

From the friendly welcome to the alhoa at the checkout the Wyndham was friendly and helpful. The hotel is in princeville and ideally located (driving distance) for many of the Kauia northshore beaches. Also being close to the local and well stocked grocery store was helpful. We spent many days away from the hotel but when we did use the facilities the different pools and bbq facilities were great. The two bedroom rooms are spacious and the kitchen was well equipped. We stayed a week in a Presidential 2 bedroom unit at Bali Hai.The only difference between a regular 2 bedroom and the Presidential is basically the fact that it is upstairs, closer to the pool and amenities, and has a portable air conditioner in the master bedroom. I believe the furnishings are updated as well. If you have the extra points or cash, these perks are kind of nice but may not be a deal breaker for everyone. Wi-fi worked fine in our unit, but had to "renew" it daily. We were able t... Read more

This was an amazing place to spend a week for our 50th wedding anniversary. Staff were all super professional and courteous. Our lodging was fantastic. Though I've seen some complaints about no air conditioning, this fact is well publicized and we had no issues. Open the windows and allow the cool sea breezes to blow in. Very comfortable accommodations. We absolutely loved our stay at ?Bali Hai Villas!

We had an absolutely wonderful trip, my sister, mother and aunt's. We stayed in an upstairs, two bedroom villa. It was wonderful, and provided a great view of one of the pools. The villa and grounds were immaculate, we would definitely recommend this property and stay here again.

We stayed in 2 bedroom villa with our teenagers and it was spacious. Full kitchen to have breakfast each day. Pack some snacks for lunch & hit the beach or go exploring! They had grills for our use but they were pretty far away from our villa number 3. Pool was a short walk down path.

Stayed here for 5 nights. Condo was nice, clean but had no AC and fans were minimally effective. You will sweat in the shower here! However, the grounds were pretty, pool/spa are great. Staff is attentive. Oh, ice machines are always down or out of ice so they may need to add 5-6 more for the vacation peaks.

The unit we stayed in was very hot. Fans were in the shape of leaves and had minimal effect on moving air around. Best thing we had was a floor fan but only one in the unit. I went to the front desk to ask if we could borrow another and they said they didn't have any (Though there were four sitting behind the front desk not in use). We stay in our own condo which I prefer to this beautiful but over-crowded property. We ate at the bar restaurant and were overcome with flies throughout the meal. I ordered the Ahi "steak" sandwich. It was huge and filling, but I would not order it again. The main restaurant was under construction yet again. The property has incredible views of Bali Hai and Hanalai Bay.

As an RCI exchange member we have come to expect a certain level of service from Wyndham resorts. Bali Hai meets this level in every way. Check in with Frank at the front desk was superb and he deserves a special mention. From there you move on to the concierge table which honestly could waste less of my time. Nice place to stay...quiet, away from the traffic. Large group of condos/apartments - time shares, I'd guess. At least the one we were in was obtained by our daughter-in-law for a family vacation. The only significant negative from my point of view is there is no bar/restaurant on the premisses. A bit of a nuisance to have to drive to get something to eat...unless you want to stock up and cook (not a big fan of that).

Pros: friendly and responsive staff; lush and well kept grounds; very functional kitchen; nice island orientation program scheduled 4 times a week. Cons: no A/C, a big con; two small pools for this large complex; units not as big as they'll have you believe. If the trade winds are not blowing (about 10 to 20% of the time in summer) you will be miserable in the unit until very late at night when the place cools down.
