Travelled with our adult children and the 2 bedroom lock off was perfect amount of space and privacy for everyone! Enjoyed family meals and time on the larger side. The view from our lanai was stunning. From the moment we checked in the service was fantastic. Pool deck server Jamie and pool bar server Jesus both went above and beyond everyday. What's best: location, snorkelling right off the beach, super friendly employees , room sizes What's not so great: the only thing that was a littl... Read more

We are owners at the south property and always enjoy this place. The snorkeling seems to get better every year. The pool deck service has been excellent this year thanks to Amanda! She has recommended some new things to eat/drink on the menu which were great and always magically appears when we need her. Lovely vacation!

Valet parking with a smile as you arrive, at a very affordable price. They help load, unload, deliver your groceries to the room. Cold flavored water and cool washcloths in the foyer. Smiling reception clerks. Villas are lovely, we had 2 connecting units, perfect for family. Nice ocean view. Room for dinner on the balcony to watch the ocean and sunset. Full kitchen, laundry in room. Free internet. Daily maid service. Market on site. Onsite pools, water sports, spa, restaurant, they have it al... Read more

We stayed in a studio, which had plenty of room for the 2 of us. We had a partial kitchen with a washer and dryer and a large bathroom with a shower and a whirl pool tub. If you get a studio in the South Tower, ask for a balcony. There is a large pool with a separate section for small children. Many lounge chairs are available around the pool. If you want a cabanna, you can reserve one. The beach is 2 minutes from the pool, if you go there you will need to rent a chair. There is a wonderful wal... Read more

I'm an owner and come here every year. This year was the first time that I really noticed a decline in service. I previously have given them 5 stars on my many different visits 1. They seem to say "no" a lot. To room requests and even asked them to bring some ice to my room. At the same type of timeshare property (Westin Lagunamar in Cancun) they bring you ice when you check in until your ice maker starts working 2. We asked for a ground floor room and didn't get it for the first time. Th... Read more

We stayed at this hotel for 10 days. We had a very good time! Everyone was very nice. Our room was very comfortable. The food at the restaurants on the resort was very good. We went several time for breakfast and we liked the breakfast croissant sandwich a lot. We also had the house salad which was very good for lunch. The ground of the hotel is beautiful . A lot of colours and very well maintained. We rented a car , but it was not in fact necessary as they have a shuttle taking you at Lahai... Read more

My husband and I are clearly not the market this place is aiming at, and apparently satisfying. We accepted an offer for 5 days here, provided we submitted to their timeshare sale spiel. This high pressure effort wasted half a day, not the promised 90 minutes, and only convinced us that timesharing is an overpriced con we want no part of. As for the resort, it is vast, confusingly laid out, bland, characterless and impersonal, with very average dining facilities and busy unhelpful staff. The poo... Read more

We stayed here on our honeymoon through the owners club. we weren't sure if the hotel staff would treat us differently as we weren't staying through them but it made no difference to them. The staff were always really helpful and friendly. The hotel itself looks great and our room was spacious and pleasant. The location was amazing, especially as we like to go snorkelling which we could do straight off the beach. The Pool looked nice but crowded, we never swam in it as we were too busy at the ... This place pretty much has all you need at your fingertips. Multiple Pools, beach with excellent waves and snorkeling, a spa, etc. etc. The only complaint I would have is that their idea of an ocean view was for us to be facing a parking lot and then standing on our balcony on our tippy toes to see the ocean (so make sure you clarify what an "ocean view" means). They fixed this issue for me by giving me a break on the room. The rooms are spacious with everything you need (pots, cutlery, frid... Read more

After a night at the Westin Maui we spent the next 5 nights here. Only a few years old it's newer than the hotel but these are timeshares so you will get a little pressure to endure the pitch. We got an offer on the mail with a crazy deal so it was very reasonable. Waterslide can't compete with Westin Maui but still a great pool-actually they have 3. Short walk to the beach. We even had an assistant that arranged surf lessons, golf and zipline. If you are a SPG member and get an offe... Read more

My wife, daughter, and I discussed potential activities with Mick McCarthy. He spent close to 30 minutes going over all the possible activities, places to go, and where to eat. He discussed each suggestion in detail and explained why he was recommending it. He was very knowledgeable, courteous, and professional. We were not rushed at all. I would highly recommend seeking out Mr. McCarthy for concierge services if you stay at the Westin Kaanapali Ocean Resort Villas.

We had an 'older' family vacation (no one under 21) and the resort was great! The pool area was a lot of fun with drink service, but it wasn't necessarily a party atmosphere, you could have fun or relax. This is a large, pretty, full service resort. It is located on a beautiful stretch of beach and walking distance to several restaurants. We really enjoyed the onsite poolside cafe at the neighboring Westin property. There is quite a bit of road noise if you are on a side of the property near the road. There are many amenities but they will cost you. There is a fee for pretty much everything here. Our room was very comfortable and we enjoyed our stay!

We love Maui, so we are already biased. But, until this week, we hadn't yet taken our entire family (four grandchildren included) to the Valley Isle. I have stayed here so many times. I like the kitchen in the suites and the grills on property. This way, I can grill a good steak for dinner at least once during my stay. The grounds and pools were clean and well maintained, and the view from our villa was great, overlooking both the pool and the beach. This place blew me away! If money were no object I think I could just live there. I really hated to leave and come back to reality. Food regardless where you ate was expensive. Transportation was rather easy but often congested. Parking was another story. If I got tired of the warm ocean waters then there were multiple pools to relax beside. Really a very pleasant place to stay.

We've been coming here for the past 8 years. Love, love, love Maui. The sun sets will take your breath away. The beach has some of the softest sand but can get hot during the day. Great place to snorkel, scuba, paddle board, outrigger or just kick back with a good book. The prices are high but that's anywhere on the island. Check out the daily agenda and book the events at the Westin. We found them to be fun and a great value.

One of our favorite places to stay on Kaanapali. The only negative is that the front desk staff is not as accommodating as they could be but everything else is top notch. Concierge staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. There is a pool for everyone between the North and South properties. There is a great reef for snorkeling right in front of the beach area. This place is the recipe to spoil your vacation, at least if you are going in July. It is super crowded, no place in pools or restaurant, staff has no time, the place is not well kept. The staff is not courteous, everything is expensive, they are only after your $$, provide same level of service as any motel. I also don't think the Kaanapali beach is any good. There are much better beaches in Kihei, Wailea area.

Yes, it isn't inexpensive. IMy wife and I have traveled to this resort every year for the last number of years. Every year it maintains or beats the last years experience. The building we were in was very nice last year and this year they have completely re-furbished all the units in this building. There is always something to entertain you and the locations couldn't be better. Kaanapali beach is right there with the best snorkeling on the island. The resort restaurants are all top notch and the people there to help ... Read more

We stayed in room 1054. This is a ocean view room but not a good location at all. You have a view of the ocean but only a small view. You have a direct view of the loading dock of the condo's next door as wells the dumpsters and the roof of the convention area. If I was being picky I would have asked for a different room. The hotel is okay but you don't get any personalized service at all. You are just one of hundreds of guests and they could not care less about you. The pool area is alway... Read more

We were honored and blessed to stay in an ocean view 2 bedroom villa (Villas North) for 7 days our first time to Maui. We're familiar with Oahu and Kauai islands very well. This property is very well maintained from the lobby to the rooms and the landscaping! The WESTIN bed and pillows are THE BEST! We all slept so comfortably, I didn't even miss my own bed! The location is good you can access stores within 10-15 min. It's not close to the airport, about 40min. Not only is the immediate ... Read more

A large group, family and friends stayed in two bedroom lock off unit. The resort is right at the ocean which allows those who want to snorkel easy, amazing access while the tamer members of our group were able to laze around the pool. Would definitely return. The only downside of the trip is that we live on the east coast.

We spent Christmas in Maui and stayed at this very large and luxurious property. The apartment was well furnished and very comfortable. My only negative about this property is that I prefer a smaller resort that is closer to shopping without having to drive there.

The resort is very clean and the rooms are spacious! We stayed in a two bedroom lock-off unit and it was more than enough space for the 3 of us. The food is good and the staff friendly. Check the farmers markets out and stock up on local goods for the week!

We are owners but do not always have the opportunity to return every year. This year was a carry over from 2 years ago so we didn't have our exact villa. That being said, we were not disappointed. The first week we opted to stay in a lock off in the north Villas and the room and view were spectacular. We were extremely fortunate that our first full day at the resort, we stopped by the concierge desk and met with Sherry Straka. It is impossible to put into words in this small space how impre... My family comes here every year in October, when it is not too hot out. The villas are always well kept and staff is friendly and willing to assist in any way they can. The beds are incredibly comfortable, which makes me not want to get out of them in the morning. The resort is about 3/4 to one mile from Whaler's Village, in which you can take a nice walk on the beach on your way down. You can also take one of Westin's shuttles to different locations as well. I highly recommend going to the spa here. I scheduled a Tahitian massage. Cathy was my masseuse and not only gave me the best massage, but also some great recommendations on how to handle a nerve issue I've been having. Cathy made sure I was comfortable and well taken care of. The front desk staff was also very friendly. Thanks again, Cathy, for adding to a wonderful vacation.

We stay here every year and it does not disappoint. This year we received especially great customer service from Sheena at the front desk. She went above and beyond to assist us on several occasions and made our stay all the better. The rooms at this property are comfortable, the pools offer something for everyone, and the beach is a short walk away. We brought our grandchildren here and could hardly get them out of the pirate ship pool or off the play structure!
