"We were very pleased with everything there. We enjoyed the luau, awsome breakfast would for sure do it again. We were worried about it before we went due to reading some bad reviews about the cottages, but we had an ocean front cottage maybe five 5 steps to ocean. There was nothing wrong at all with them. So if you stay in one of those please do. The were very clean, very quiet, and was great to sleep at night with all windows and doors open and enjoy the fresh air. Great Tiki bar. Would also tell you to do the sunset cocktail cruise that was great. Seen whales the whole time we were out on it. Resort is worth the money. So those reviews you seen where others complained so bad 'That was just where someone was just looking for something to be picky about. Please ignore those few people' Those who complain about cost DO research you know if you going on vacation it is going to cost you and if you can't afford to go I suggest you save a little more money and go when you can really afford or your not going to enjoy the things this beautiful stuff has to offer' The people in the resort are just so friendly. Attend to our every need or request. Night life entertainment was really nice to enjoy as well. We will be going back."

"Just back from Hawaii on Feb 25 2012. Very nice hotel. Royal Lahaina is amazing, rooms are big, clean cannot asked better. Food is also really good. I will go back that's for sure. I think that the only reason why this hotel is not a 5 stars is because they have only two pools outside and may be need more intertainment outside. But this hotel is great!"

"My bride and I stayed at the resort on 9/8/12 thru 9/14/12 for our honeymoon. I picked the resort off the internet due to pricing, location and generally good reviews (all resorts have one or two cry baby reviews). The resort is celebrating their 50th year of service in this prime location on Kaanapali Beach just minutes north of Lahaina shopping/restaurants/attractions. The property is well maintained with a friendly staff and the beach just feet away from your room. Parking is a problem, especially during the 5:45 to 8:45 nightly luau. So we learned to park before 5 pm or just use vallet parking ($5 more, not a big charge). We may decide to try one of the cottages during our next stay."

"This resort has a few years on it, but the facility is fine! We stayed in a cottage unit about 40 yards from the beach. The pool and bar were in our back yard. There was no noise that disturbed our stay, the staff was extremely helpful and the activities offered by the resort were well done. The place is kid friendly, but guests were mainly adults our age (60 ). The Lahina village is only three miles away and there were shuttles to shopping near the resort. My wife's comment? 'I would do this again!'"
