The property is within a 5-minute drive of Whalers Village and 15 minutes form Lahaina, with shopping and dining.

Honua Kai`s excellent location provides an endless list of activities to experience around the Hawaiian Islands. Honua Kai offers guests ``The All or Nothing Proposition`` which lets guests relax and kick back or take a wondrous adventure through the islands` most exotic landscapes. Maui boasts some of the world`s most renowned golf courses including one that resides on the volcanic slopes of Mount Haleakala and some that border the Pacific Ocean, offering brilliant views of Hawaii`s magnificence.

If golf does not excite you, and you want to get wet instead, you can go snorkeling, scuba diving, wind surfing, or parasailing. You can even tame the waves of the Pacific and try surfing for that unique feeling of catching your first wave. [1] From the airport, take Highway 380 (Kuihelani Hwy) straight until you reach Highway 30 (Honoapiilani Hwy).Travel time is approximately 15-20 minutes. [2] Turn left onto Highway 30 and head toward Lahaina. Travel time is approximately 30 minutes. [3] Once you’ve reached Lahaina town, proceed straight for approximately 5.2 miles (approximately 15-20 minutes). [4] At the intersection of Halawai Street, turn left at the Kaanapali North Beach sign. This is Kai Malina Parkway and the Honua Kai Resort entrance.

From Kapalua Airport (JHM) Distance:

[1] From the airport, turn left Highway 30 (South) for approximately 4 minutes. [2] At the intersection of Halawai Street, turn right onto Kai Malina Parkway. This is the entrance to Honua Kai Resort.

"Pleased with my recent stay at the Honua Kai Resort. My parents were visiting from Maine and I brought them to Maui from Oahu. They really enjoyed all of the amenities the room offered and I especially liked that there was a washer/dryer in the room. The valet service was very good and the people there were very helpful with restaurant recommendations. Thank you for an enjoyable visit."

"I booked a one bedroom suite with an OCEAN VIEW .......my DISAPPOINTMENT is per Honua Kai they have NO SUCH ROOM.......only view rooms are 3 bedroom suites and the view is that of the other condominiums--garden area. They upgrade you to a 2 bedroom when they see the mistake BUT I had a family member in a wheelchair so the reason we selected this hotel was the VIEW and having washer/dryers in the room.......PROBLEM with CAR RENTAL and plane...........not well planed at all"
