A nice resort but has no sand beach (rocks and bulkhead). Amentities were OK. There was a grocery shopping right across the street. Bedroom was tight and on the non water side of the condo, so waking up to the surf was out. Spent most of the nights on the living room sofa-bed to circumvent this.

Super unresponsive management staff. We stayed in room 302 with a rusty fridge, nasty kitchen, and we came home to water on our kitchen floor. My girlfriend slipped and broke the glass bottle she was carrying, sending glass everywhere. We called to report it and the property managers (offsite and not available to come help) reported that broken glass all over the kitchen and living room didn't constitute an emergency, so we just had to deal with it. They directed me to a dustpan and broom in a c... Read more

We booked through Castle Paki Maui and ended up in room #220. The room was very basic, not great. Horrible bed that clanked and creaked, uncomfortable pillows, worn out bathroom, power switches coming off the walls. Doors were very old and worn and weren't easy to lock. The showerhead was disgusting, obviously hasn't been cleaned in years and the handle was broken so you had to stand really close to the wall to get under the water. On the more positive side, reception staff was helpful, a saf... Read more

We chose this place as close to Kaanapali beaches and beach access. The unit itself was clean and had all we needed but was a little tired. 15 minute walk to the beach walk in front of the Kaanapali north beach resorts which was good for just walking or beach access. To get to a nice beach with sand rather than old lava it was a good 25 minute walk. There is no beach in front of the resort. Handy to several good eating places, a farmers market and on the Maui bus route which was great for gettin... Read more

We stayed for a week at Paki Maui resort in August 2016. The hotel consists of individual condo units that vary drastically in their upkeep. We were shuttled from one room to another due to some booking confusion, and got to experience (for better or for worse) rooms on the first, second and third floors. So I feel like I have a comprehensive view of the place. Here is the good, the bad and the ugly: 1) No airconditioning. Do not stay here in the summer months as it is absolutely miserabl... Read more

Nice little place. Next to a public beach. Unit didn't face the ocean but did have views of the mountains and a green area. Pretty water feature in center. Pool and hot tub by ocean. Next to active road. You can hear cars pretty regularly but not enough to detract from the experience.

First, the good: The view! This is the least expensive ocean front view I found on Maui, during my search for a room. And, the view delivers. The ocean front rooms are just a few yards from the water, with view of the distant islands. You can walk to the water and wade/snorkel. Like a few beaches in Maui, it is not sandy, but still beautiful and shallow. This is a condo. You have a full refrigerator, and oven and burners to do your own cooking. If you are in Maui on a budget, this can save qui... Read more

I read all the reviews on all the sites and went into this with very low expectations. I specifically read a review trashing room 209 so when we checked in a I told them I did not want that room. No problem I had room 211 garden view reserved. As it turned out room 209 was an ocean view. I asked if they had an ocean view room available and the very nice front desk lady, Stella, tried not to smile when she said "Only 209." Then she made a very reasonable suggestion. "Why not just go look at 209... Read more

Here are the reasons why one can come to Maui to rest and enjoy while they are here. For military families: they gave us the 40% discount. Staff: all the people from the front desk to maintenance people made us felt welcome here. We really enjoyed their friendliness. Hotel facility: Our room was less than 30 yards from the beach; the sunset was most beautiful as we observe the magnificent sight from our balcony; the kitchen facility with the electric stove, microwave oven, the refrigerator w... our visit to the paki maui is two fold. Our first week we stayed in a two bedroom oceanfront room. our second week we are in an oceanfront studio. First and foremost you must remember that these condos are privately owned so you may have a room that is modern and up to date or you may have a room that is, well, not. Before we booked our rooms we tried to get pictures or discriptions but we were told that they could not provide this. So blindly we booked. The 2 bedroom is not the modern updated ... Read more
