Maui Coast Hotel is located approximately fourteen miles from Kahului Airport. Exit airport and continue to the traffic light by Costco. Continue on Dairy Road and at the traffic light by First Assembly of God Church, turn left onto Mokulele Highway #350. Follow Mokulele Highway #350 approximately five miles. Make a left at the traffic light onto Piilani Highway #31 and continue approximately five miles to Alanui Ke Ali'i. Turn right at the traffic light onto Alanui Ke Ali'i and follow to the next traffic light. Make a right onto South Kihei Road and Maui Coast Hotel will be the second property on the right side.

"Most rooms do not have a good ocean view or a good view at all. My lanai had a good view of big bushes. The hotel is not ocean front. Beach is across the street. The hotel is in a good location for easy access to beaches, shopping, and dining. Pool was small, but wasn't overly crowded. Bathroom in room is very small. Hard to even turn around in. Washer and dryer is provided at no cost. Cafe food at pool was average and prices were also average. Happy hour was worth it. Front desk clerks, store clerk, and hotel cleaning and maitenance staff were all very friendly. The male servers at the bar at the pool need replaced. They were too busy flapping their lips around the bar instead of waiting on people poolside. Sometimes drinks were served with garnish (lime, cherry, etc.), other times without any garnish. Guess it depended on how hard they wanted to work. Had problems getting a food order right...simply asked for ranch dressing with vegetables. Vegetables were delivered pool side, no napkins, no ranch dressing. Told the server, but he never returned. Went up to the bartender and reqested again. Was told they would be right out. Five minutes later the dressing appeared, but no napkins. Finally just gave up."

"The rate was good for the quality of the hotel. Maui is expensive for the type of hotel you actually get. The room was spacious. The air conditioning is a loud wall unit which is kind of annoying. You are not in front of the beach so don't expect a beautiful beach view. You are close (walking distance) to several shops and bars. Kihei is calm and quiet. The bed was a little hard but seemed clean. Overall we were satisfied with the hotel.

"The Maui Coast Hotel was fabulous!! The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was very clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. Best of all, the towels were soft, which is rare for a hotel!! The beach was a block away and there was shopping close too. The poolside restaurant had the best breakfast burrito ever!! "First time in Maui. Quiet hotel in small city, laid back type feel. Enjoyed our stay. The lanais are nice to have, but may feel a little awkward sitting out there as some balconies face each other but they aren't close to each other. We went during the beginning of June, and the beach nearby (I think we were at Ulua beach park) was quiet. It felt like we had the beach to ourselves while snorkeling. The Kamaole beaches were quiet too, but didn't have time to go in the water."

"I booked a last minute vacation and was very pleased with this hotel. I stayed in Lahaina on my last trip to Maui and I must say, Kihei is a better location. The hotel is across the street from a beautiful beach and close to many low key restaurants. There is a resort fee which I didn't like since I was rarely at the hotel. The resort fee covers rental bikes, laundry, tennis courts, etc. Its well worth it if you intend on using the services. We had a partial ocean view room from the top floor. The room was clean and the staff was friendly. The only downside is I think they need to service their elevators. We had a shaky one in our neck of the hotel. The poolside bar isn't all that impressive but they have good service. i'm not a fan of any of their happy hour cocktails. They were way too sweet and watered down. But beautiful pool area with a separate shallow kid pool and two Jacuzzis. Overall, a great place to stay in South Maui."
