My husband and I recently stayed at the St. Regis in Princeville for our honeymoon. As many reviews state the views are AMAZING however, that was about all we found good at the hotel. It is very OLD and in serious need of some updating. The rooms/hallways smell of mildew. For the price and online images we had such high expectations and unfortunately were disappointed. All of the restaurants had great food but the service was absolutely terrible. I would recommend grabbing lunch at the St.... Read more

Great end to 2 weeks in Hawaii. The entire hotel took care of my wife and I on this trip. Platinum SPG and room upgrade to Junior Suite what's to complain about Butler Service!? They made everything about our babymoon special and Ian and the butler staff went out way with some additional perks that just made the trip unforgettable. Having Butler service pack our bags home was a dream along with waking up to coffee and the view out our room. Amazing views, shower with privacy window, pop-up tv, ... Read more

From the time we arrived until we left, we were treated like royalty! The staff was excellent in every respect. This would be the resort to go and stay for how ever long that you could stay! Not only excellent views but spotless as well. This was the most kept up facility that I have seen outside of Disney World Resorts which are without a doubt excellent in their own respect. Dinner at the Mikana Terrace was a very relaxing and beautiful experience as well. Scott, the pool and beach execut... Read more

My husband and I celebrated my 60th birthday at the St Regis Kauai and it couldn't have been more perfect. We were in the Junior Suite (with our own butler!) and the views were incredibly incredible - no picture could do it justice. The service was also outstanding, particularly the hard work of John Moritz. John was one of the hotel managers and he made every effort to make our trip unforgettable and keep our level of service at its highest. From the moment we drove up through check-in, and... Read more

The moment you enter the resort community of Princeville, you feel like you have stepped into the land of the rich and famous of Kauai. From our first interaction with a St. Regis doorman to our kind farewell from a valet attendant, the service was impeccable and among the best I have received at a resort (barring a rude waiter at Kauai Grill, of all places). The lobby is breathtaking, with views of the mountains bordering the Napali coast and Hanalei Bay looming in the distance. Then, we headed... Read more

We stayed here for 5 days in early May with our four-year-old son and had an amazing time. The location is fantastic - on the side of a cliff facing Hanalei Bay. We had a great ocean-facing room (SPG loyalists - take note). The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly and made every effort to accommodate our requests. Lots of great things to experience in the hotel - breakfast in the verandah, the infinity pool, snorkeling in the beach in front of the hotel, etc. We would love to stay here agai... Read more

I'm sure they will have someone write a canned response to this review, however I just wanted to say that while the hotel is nice it is nothing compared to the Grand Hyatt on the other side of the island. We came here to see if we might prefer it as many friends told us they stay here. We ate lunch ($166 for 4 and no alcohol) and our kids decided to go kayaking. We took one of many empty seats by the pool and were hot there 3 minutes when someone came and told us we had to leave. We explained we... Read more

This was our first time in Kauai. After about 16 hours on a plane, this hotel took our breath away. It made the long plane ride worth the while. The staff greeted us right when we got out of the car and welcomed us. In fact, everyone that worked at this hotel seemed genuinely happy to work there and to see people vacation there. Spent five days at this property as part of a formal business event. Having read others' reviews, and having spoken with people who had stayed at the resort in the past, I had set the bar fairly high for this property. My husband and I went here in early December on a whim, and we loved it. Would love to stay here again. It's quiet and a bit more secluded and private than other areas of the island, which we loved. Service was amazing...although as more guests trickled in for the holidays, the level of service suffered a bit. Only negative was the Jean George restaurant in the hotel. Not worth the price at all. We were very disappointed an preferred the local spots.

We really enjoyed our stay here. We split our trip between the Marriott and the St Regis. The St. Regis is of course very different from the Marriott and we chose to end our stay here after we explored the island from the Marriott's more central location. The service at the St Regis was top notch as expected and the pool was quiet and relaxing. The hotel does a nice job of preventing the pool from becoming too crowded by ensuring that only hotel guests are using the chairs. Even if you have ... Read more

We did not read the reviews of this hotel since it is a St. Regis located in an amazing venue; we assumed it would be well, amazing -- consistent with many past experiences we have had with the hotel chain. How I wish I had read the reviews and saved the Starwood points we used for a different property. Princeville St Regis is a tiny notch above a Sheraton. The service is subpar other than the valet, which was fantastic. The food is considerably overpriced; menus choices are limited. We ate o... Read more

Don‚??t let the St. Regis name fool you. First I must clarify that the North Shore, Hanelei Bay, and Princeville are all divine and gorgeous. As for the St. Regis, we have stayed here several times over the last 15 years (before and after Starwood purchased) and watched it deteriorate since the remodel a few years back. We thought as Starwood Gold members the St. Regis label would keep things updated and protect from things like no exterior paint on the building or hallways, dirty windows, bi... Read more

Overlooking the Bay of Hanalei (with its dragon snoot lying in the ocean), the low-slung clouds, the fog hanging onto the lush hills, the sunsets. Surely, this must be one of the world's top settings. The views from the outdoor facilities, the restaurants and public rooms, as well as the guest rooms, take full advantage. (Unfortunately, the guest rooms do not for the most part have balconies). The hotel setting is the peak location in Princeville, which itself must be one of the prime areas in... Read more

We stayed at the St. Regis Princeville for 4 nights in a Monarch Suite (one large open room with a semi-private patio and an amazing view of Hanalei Bay). The room was a bit dated but nice, and our only complaint was that the sound-proofing between rooms was insufficient (perhaps because our room was adjoining another suite). The food at the Kauai Grill, the St Regis Bar, and breakfast at the Makana Terrace was very good. But the poolside restaurant and the Makana Terrace dinner were average. ... Read more

We went here on our honeymoon and couldn't have been happier. Hanalei Bay is beautiful. The drive into the st.regis area is amazing&surrounded by sculptures, a golf course, and the ocean.
