The Aston Islander Guest rooms now feature travertine floors, onyx tile, granite countertops, and Island-inspired teak furnishings with pineapple motifs in mirror frames and headboards. Bronze hula-dancer table lamps and palm details on the porch lights add a Hawaiian glow.

The oceanside pool area has a stylish slate flooring and a tropical pool bar appropriately named Enjoy a tropical drink or snack at The Sand Bar beneath one of the thatched-roof umbrellas or in an open-air cabana with day bed and silk pillows. The Sand Bar offer happy hour from 4:00pm to 6:00pm and has TVs for sporting events! Weber gas barbecue grills have also been installed for Guests who wish to grill and chill. Please Note:
There will be a $15 plus tax daily amenity fee collected directly at the property. Fees subject to change. The amenity fee includes Playstation 2 console in each unit, unlimited access to DVD movies and Playstation 2 games, in-room coffee and tea provided daily, daily newspaper, daily in-room safe usage, in-room Internet access, Wi-Fi and local and toll free calls.

Building Enhancement Project:
Please note the Aston Island on the Beach will be undergoing a spalling project from April 15 - July 25, 2013. The hotel will do everything possible to minimize the impact of this project on the guest experience. Work will be done only Monday-Fridays from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The work schedule for each building will be staggered to minimize noise disruption, and guests will not be placed in the building being renovated.

"I chose Aston because it was on the beach and affordable! My hubby and I checked in around 1 and we got a room instantly, even though the check-in time is 3. Staff was very friendly. The room we got was perfect!! It was partial ocean front, but the view was spectacular!! We slept with the glass door open every night and fell�asleep to the sounds of waves and rain. Amazing. The room came with 2 beds and cost more to upgrade to a queen so we settled. Plates, utensils, sink, fridge, microwaves and coffee pot in the room was all included. The daily fee also includes free Internet (which you have to log into every day) and movie rentals. We took advantage of it all. The only complaint I'd have is that the room was not swept 100%. We kept feeling sand after we showered which was extremely annoying. But that was the tiniest, little thing to complain about.

We took a nice stroll down the beach and got caught in the rain! The first day we picked up some magazines and mapped our week's activities. We actually went down and spoke with a lady in the activities department to schedule our entire itinerary and she booked us a car rental from hertz for $40/day. That was an incredible deal for car rentals we found out. All in all- my hubby and I did so many things!!!! Saw spouting horn, snuba diving in Poipou, ate shaved ice with ice cream, hiked the sleeping giant mountain aka nounou mountain, zip n dip ziplines, saw the wailua waterfall, enjoyed the smith's luau, and toured the fern grotto. It was our first vacation alone together and was perfect. Full of beautiful moments of adventure and romance. The island truly is the garden island, and we fell in love all over again."

"The Aston Islander on the beach has good and bad. Beautiful setting and grounds. The room needed some repair, the floor boards in the bathroom by the tub was actually rotton and the lower part rotted off. The curtains on the patio door had mold on the bottom of them. The TV died and they replaced the next day, they gave us another room to watch a movie in that evening which was nice. The deck coating was peeling off and I had to request to the maid to clean the patio door glass, is was bad. Miad service was always late in the day. All these units are privetely owned and the maintenance fee is $700/month,( a owner told me) Aston just manages the complex, these units should be in top repair. They had brand new BBQ's and the common areas are well maintaind. But the pool was very much a disapointment, it was way to cold and way to much chlorine, we went next door to the Outrigger they have a warm river pool with a water fall and a fantastic dinner resturaunt."

"Kauai in itself was a shining gem. However, when it came to the accommodations, I was blown away. The front desk clerk was instantly welcoming to my wife and I as soon as we entered the lobby. In addition to the wonderful welcoming, I also was blown away by the speed at which my wife and I got our room. Although there was a 3hr. window. We ended up getting a room in 30mins or less.

Overall, we had a wonderful experience at the Aston Islander on the Beach."
