We stayed in #d22, there could not be a more beautiful rooms, ocean view, wave sounds than any other places in Kona. The only problem we had was 1 week went by to quickly. Plus going through Abby rent customer service was best we have EVER had, and we have traveled the world.

My first visit to Kona was in 1995 and I stayed at the Castle Kona Reef condos. I loved it for these reasons: Location: Close to food, shopping and church (Living Stones) Condo: contained a fully stocked kitchen of utensils, pans, bowls, etc. I stayed in unit D35 this time. The washer/dryer unit was a plus. The evening balcony sunsets were divine. Safety: I felt safe walking around the complex at various hours.

We booked a beach front apartment in june 2014. It was part of a timeshare individually owned group of apartments. Our view was superb. The amenities were to a high standard. It was a 2 bed roomed apartment with fully equpt kitchen and bathroom, laundry. The balcony looked out west to the pacific, so the sunsets were magical, along with your own pair of love birds flying in to join you each evening on the balcony. With a great supermarket only 5 mins drive away and one of the best restaurants als... We stayed there twice, each time with an ocean view. Close walk to town and our favorite divings shop: Jack's Dive Locker. We rented a car and from there, the whole island was accessible. We would definitely stay there again.

I stayed here for a week on a timeshare exchange during one of the busiest weeks of the year. I was surprised how quiet it was. Most of the folks are older, few families with kids. The layout of the property is excellent. Almost every room has some view of the ocean. Buildings A and D have great views of the ocean and sunsets. Buildings C, E, and F have partial views of the ocean and sunsets, looking over the pool. Building B has partial views of the ocean but no sunset views. The grounds ... Read more

Family of 4 for 10 nights at Kona Reef D-8. This housing complex is in walking distance to dining and shopping. This is a ground level corner unit, 2 bedrooms, 2 bath, kitchen, dining, living area and lanai. We had asked to get in early due to traveling for 24 hours. Although not guaranteed, housekeeping saw me sitting in the car and told me the unit could be occupied. The condo is a very spacious unit. Great for a family of 4 with teen girls. The lanai view is absolutely spectacular, the... Read more

My wife and I stayed here for one week to celebrate her birthday and welcome in the new year. We reserved through VRBO and stayed in A35, which was on the top floor and looked out right over the ocean. The view really couldn't have been better. The condo had recently been renovated and the grounds at the complex were clean. Highly recommend. The condo had a nice sized living room, private balcony - where we had our breakfasts most mornings, a nice kitchen with all the pots and pans and things o... Read more

We have been coming to the Kona Reef girls over 20 years and IF we won the lottery, we would buy a two bedroom unit in building D. It is that good! Walking distance to a variety of restaurants and with a wonderful sunset facing lanai, it is has everything you would want. A well constructed building makes noise levels from other units unnoticeable. Underground parking and 30 feet from the pounding probably are getting my point...It has it all!!!

We stayed in Unit D5 for 15 days. It was a one bed with a pull out couch but we were two people so it worked fine. The complex is old but well kept with lots of parking. The pool area is very clean and well maintained. We generally don't use the pool but this time we did and it is situated right next to the ocean with lots of chairs and loungers. Our unit was on the ground floor with an in your face view of the ocean, it took some getting used to it was so close. The unit was simple but had ever... Read more

I had a confirmation 3 months prior to the stay and had even called to reconfirm the reservation several days later. Upon arrival they did not have the suite that we had reserved and could not locate the reservation in their system. I showed them the confirmation email and they confirmed it was legitimate. The only positive thing was that the staff at the resort was very helpful in finding a suite at another Castle resort. However upon checking into the wuite we found that it had not been c... Read more
