Very nice rooms free breakfast. The hotel grounds are clean. The pool area is nice and has a spa. The person at front desk when we checked in was very nice and helpful. Nava thank you for making us feel welcome. The hotel is just 1 block off the main shopping district and the waterfront. It was great because they charge $5 per hour to park. You can walk to anything downtown right from your room.

My family and I were happy to check-in a familiar hotel chain for the end part of our trip. It seemed to be a newer hotel and with free wifi and breakfast, it was a no-brainer to book here. The check-in process was fast. When I went to bring the suitcases, I looked out the window and saw on the window sill ... lots of ants. Called front desk and they changed our room from 3rd to 2nd floor. When we arrived to our second room, it had a funky smell and also we found an ant in the bed sheets (w... Read more

Pros: Good storage provided for groceries. Microwave as well as mini-fridge. Room is quiet at night. Beds are comfortable. Shower was good. Location is terrific, right downtown amidst restaurants and bay. Can walk to the Safeway(1 mile) but not when the sun is out. :) Mixed; Decent if boring breakfast, same every day for a week. Coffee in lobby was good, but not kept fresh after breakfast. Laundry room was convenient. ($6 a load). Free parking, but spaces very narrow. The first ... Read more

We enjoyed its central location, super friendly staff. The rooms are great and spacious with fridge, microwave and at good sitting area. The pool was clean and enjoyable. Our familly would definitively go back but the following must be adressed: - pool area needs more and larger umbrellas there is not enough shade. - some area of the pool deck have drainage problems and mold is accumulating. (Unclog drains and clean with 10% bleach would resolve this). - several rooms had a murky smell. I seams... Read more

Great rooms. Good location. Has a pool. Internet was poor. Have to pay for parking $10 a night which I wasn't told before. Also, the parking spots were tiny. If you don't have a compact car good luck. There are only a handful of spots a larger car would fit into and most of the time they were taken in the evening and early morning. Breakfast was hit or miss. Some days they had fruit, other days they didn't. Same for scrambled eggs. When they had them though, the scrambled eggs were surprisingly ... Read more

This is a pretty new hotel. The hotel rooms are very spacious and clean. It has a small swimming pool, Gym and coin operated laundry room. Staff are all very friendly and provide useful information when asked about the sight seeing information. It offers free hot breakfast with good selection of bakery, egg, sausage, bacon, yogurt, fresh fruit ... It's just 5 minutes walk to beach, Hulihee Palace and Mokuaikaua Church.

If you are looking for a place right in the middle of activity, this is a great place! A short walk down the street will take you right to Ali'i Drive and tons of tourist shops. Fair Wind Snorkel/Fishing boats are only a walk away as well. We only booked for the day as we had a red eye out o Kona and had to check out of our condo at 11am. My family (Me, my wife, two teen sons) stayed at this property on two non-consecutive nights in June 2016. The first night was a late check-in after arriving at KOA on a late flight. Check-in was a little cumbersome with more activity in the lobby than the desk clerk could handle, but we got into our room and had two very comfortable beds which rushed us off to sleep. We just needed a place to crash for one night after arriving on a late flight. Although there was no one in the lobby to great is upon check in and we had to wait what seemed like ages to get someone out to help us, the room was great. It was clean and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was decent and plentiful but I was disappointed there was no fresh fruit. This is a good place to rest your head after a weary day of travel.

This was a great place to stay. Close to the airport. Staff were very friendly. Breakfast is great. Rooms are clean and well cared for. One thing to note is that wifi code has to be re-entered every time you log off and back on, so don't lose your code, but it does make it more secure.

We arrived on a late Saturday night flight, appreciated the fairly close location to the airport, although it was not well marked. The night desk clerk, a young woman from Washington state, was very pleasant and helpful and check-in did not take a long time. We had been warned about the parking shortage, and guess we were lucky to get the last available spot, $10 for something barely big enough for a mid-size car. This was my first Holiday Inn Express, so I wasn't sure what to expect. What I got was a clean and spacious room, a good breakfast, and staff who were interested in helping however they could. I would certainly stay there again if I couldn't find anything cheaper (that looked good). The hotel has some one-way road issues, so it's not the most straightforward to get to, but we had no problem with the parking. Entering the lobby is pleasant experience. After traveling for over 12 hours it was a pleasure to arrive at the Holiday Inn. Parking was plentiful, and the staff were very welcoming and helpful. We stayed in room 321 for one night before our flight. We checked in late and discovered there were numerous bugs in the wet bar area and in the bathroom. Our room was bigger than the HIEs we've been to. The bed was very big and comfy and the room was clean. The only problem we had was the bugs which were all over the place. HI Expresses tend to be off exit ramps and by shopping malls. This one is in the middle of Kailua Kona, a block from the ocean and the farmers market. It's brand new -- it's got that new car smell. Location is a good block off the seafront road, views , even if you upgrade to partial ocean are really of parking lots. Not exactly quiet either. And for a new property, could use a good cleaning, and decent sheets, not linty feeling linens. But the staff is friendly and it is good value. Parking is extra $10/day. Good safe in the room.swim beach about 600 meters away. Tiny pool, the pictures are deceiving. Noisy Jaccusi, you can hear in ocean view suites.
