Offering 430 guest rooms on a tropical stretch of Kaanapali Beach and less than one mile from Whalers Village, the Kaanapali Beach Hotel features several opportunities for guests to learn about Hawaiian culture, and is approximately 32 miles from Kahului Airport. Local attractions include Lahaina Town, approximately three miles away, and the Maui Ocean Center, located 18 miles from the hotel.

The Kaanapali Beach Hotel prides itself on its many options for diversion and entertainment. Guests may take a dip in the whale-shaped swimming pool, which opens onto Kaanapali Beach. Equipment rentals for water sports, such as snorkeling and windsurfing, are available on the beach, and the Ohana Fun Center, located in the lobby, will set up all excursions and activities. Family activities, such as hula classes, flower lei making, and cultural lessons are available through the hotel's activities program (free for children 12 years old and younger). The spa features massage therapies and beauty treatments, and is located next to the hotel's lobby. Dining options include the Tiki Terrace, featuring regional Hawaiian cuisine and free hula shows, the Kaanapali Mixed Plate Restaurant, the Tiki Bar and Grill, champagne brunches, and the Ohana Welcome Breakfast.

Guest rooms feature air-conditioning, lanais, refrigerators, coffeemakers, safes, alarm clocks, cable TV, movies on-demand, irons and ironing boards, hairdryers, and bath amenities.
