Only a block from Waikiki beach so it's close to restaurants and shops. The room had been refurbished and had a comfortable bed. We didn't use the sofa bed. The ocean view was minimal, with most of the view being the hotel in front of ours. Overall, we were happy with our stay. It was nice to have a refrigerator, microwave and electric tea pot. We would stay here again.

A 3 week stay cost $177 per night plus $25 per day to park your car and $15 per person per day for breakfast. None of which I was aware of till we arrived. So obviously no option but to pay these prices for what would be a budget hotel in Europe. Not impressed won't go back. As for the room very dated double glazing didn't stop the road noise and was generally not worth the money. Would not use again under any circumstances

Very good value for a great location one block away from Waikiki beach. However the rooms were average with only a mini fridge. Very good value hotel/resort restaurant for breakfast. I would rate the resort 3plus.

My initial room was horrible. There was black mold and spores growing from the ceiling. All was corrected after talking with management. Also George at the front desk is very polite and helpful to his ability. After the initial issue with the first room we were given a different room, a nicer room in my opinion. I don't believe paying to park in the garage or parking lot is very fair. With Waikiki, there is little to no parking. I feel like this is takin advantage of a situation that visitors ca... Read more

The room was small and the facilities definitely needed an overhaul. The dresser drawers were out of order (we made do) and the shower head had a hole where water shot out. My rating is average because not everything was bad, though. The location and staff services were good, and the free beach towel rental was a nice plus. In addition, they had Korean programming on TV which worked out for my Korean parents.

Upon check in, we were met by a very unenthusiastic agent to check us in. We were exhausted from traveling and were just married a few days prior. We weren't asked what brings us to Hawaii, how our trip in was, or anything of the nature. He was very blunt and seemed pre occupied with something else and did the bare minimum to check us into the hotel. I would have left it at that, but every time I went to the front desk the response was similar.

I've never written a poor review so I feel a bit guilty, but this needs to be communicated so management can fix the issue. Great price and location but extremely POOR customer service. Borderline insulting. Front desk employees were unwelcoming, short and abrupt. Never been disrespected by a hotel employee...ever, until this trip. The lobby of the hotel is very impressive and looks very luxurious. However, the rooms are another story. I looked at several hotels in the same price range as the room I chose and I can honestly say that I don't think the price I paid represented what I should have seen in the room. The room was clean and comfortable as you would expect, but despite the "ocean view" I paid extra for - the room is anything to be desired. I was very happy with my accommodations. The convenience to get to the beach. I had a beach view. I was very suprised that there was no ice machine on the floor. And I was not going to use the ice tray in the refrigerator. The other fault was the sliding door to the balcony. It was so rusted and hard to open. Otherwise everything was fine.

Stayed here 6 nights and wanted to extend. Staff were super friendly and genuinely kept to the Aloha vibe. There was always a greeting from all people who worked there. Loved the little touches like orchids everywhere. Doesn't take cash at activities desk though and lots of tour bus traffic. Plenty of amenities and other services, though. Even the guests were friendly. Steps from the beach. Would keep this place in mind if there was another visit.

We stayed here at this resort for 1 week. My biggest complaint was the constant door slamming all throughout the night. I got woke up several times. The doors to the rooms slam shut very loudly. Other than that we had a great stay. I love how the resort supplies beach towels. That saved a lot of room in our suitcase. We stayed here for a night prior to returning home to California. We were on the big island for a week. They upgraded us to the penthouse suite...room was fabulous, great views...easy access to beach, restaurants etc. The checkin was quick and easy...Coco was awesome, presented us with Leis...I wish we could have stayed longer, you bet this will be my next hotel of choice our next visit.

We stayed only one night, arriving late in the evening after a long flight from the mainland East coast. George at the front desk was very welcoming, provided great service and hospitality with a smile, taking care of us with offer of extra beds and free breakfast. Location is right in the center of Waikiki beach, very close to everything including the beach (although not beachfront). Rooms were a little dated but lobby was very nice. Buffet breakfast was good.

This hotel is an excellent value but is definitely getting tired in some areas. In our room the bathroom was definitely getting tired with a 30" square shower stall and no shower curtain the first day - it did appear on the second day. The carpets both in the main lobby and the rooms are getting a little worn. That being said all of the hotel staff without fail went out of their way to be helpful and the location one block from Waikiki Beach is hard to beat for the price. I would not hesitat... Read more

The staff were all kind and lovely however the state of the room was just horrible. Myself and my partner were in 1501 right next to the elevators, the toilet didn't work and the maintenance men came in at 10pm banging and crashing to fix it. We had another couple with us so we slept on the sofa bed which was the most uncomfortable sleep I think we've ever had. We made a complaint and got transferred to a new room where the pipes leaked into the carpet. Never will I stay there again.

Can't complain about the staff one bit. Fantastic in every interaction. Quality of rooms, not so good. Needed a plumber to unblock the toilet on the night we arrived, and changed room from night two onwards as the second 'bed' was an uncomfortable sofa bed with a thin mattress on a bad spring base. Sorry Waikiki Resort but we won't be coming back. Sad because we loved the friendly people

Absolutely the worst check-in experience of my life (I'm 67). In line for 45 minutes. Incompetent and disinterested staff at registration. Room is dinky and crowded, no room to walk around. I now understand why the rate is lower than most other Waikiki hotels - the place is not worth what they charge. Only positive thing was the location - near the beach, and many stores and restaurants within an easy walk.

The staff was very accommodating and nice. The room is nice, no frills. Where I would mark the hotel down is it is need of a full renovation.
