Had a short transit stay here with wife and my 19 months old kid - good location, just 5 - 10 mins away from the crowd at Waikiki. Very clean and neat room though a bit too small. Pool is a small though but I guess most will go to the beach anyway. Overall good value for money

Recently stayed for 1 night. Hotel was great! The room was fantastic. I was a good size, very clean and had ever thing I need. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again, and will recommend the surfjack hotel to everyone I know.

For those seeking a sophisticated experience, this is it. Local artisans and designer works seen throughout here, nothing cookie cutter. Food amazing, local ore cuisine by celebrated chef. And really amazing and welcoming service. The profile in the New York Times style magazine earlier this year drew me in--it was all it promised to be and more.

Beautiful hotel great pool, restaurant and located in a very central part of Waikiki, hated Hawaii too much of a concrete jungle but the hotel was wonderful and comfortable and the people go way out of their way to smile and talk to you and ask if they can help you

Visited here for five nights and it was an execellent stay. I was greeted by Dexter (The Guest Services Manager) and he invited me to take a seat at the sofa area behind the front desk. I was served a welcome drink. (And I was impressed by the hotel design and decor! They looked so cool to me!) He came and did the checkin with me afterwards. He also explained the facilties and events in the hotel. Lastly, he told me the room was ready and I got a upgrade to the suite! It was absolutely a surpris... Read more

Although we weren't impressed with Waikiki as a whole, our four nights at the Surfjack were nothing short of amazing. Awesome rooms, comfortable beds, modern finishes with extremely accommodating staff and a location that takes you off the main areas affected by hordes of tourists. Our return will likely be met by a much more limited amount of time in Waikiki (two days MAX would be sufficient to do whatever you need to do here), but we will definitely be returning to this property when we do. My sister and I were welcomed as soon as we arrived to the hotel by a friendly gentlemen named Kenny. As we checked into the hotel we noticed the relaxed and friendly atmosphere that was present around the facilities. Kenny was very helpful and told us about key locations to visit as well as notified us about the free coffee and lemon/lime water we could receive every morning! Which made us delighted and welcomed. The rooms are perfect and have a modern beach touch to them and are very well equi... Read more

I stay in a lot of hotels, haven't felt compelled to leave a glowing review except for Surfjack. The whole experience they've created is done perfect. Decor, amenities, room design, etc. I took pictures of everything in our room so I can try and find them for our house. It's tucked away from the main beach strip, but it's a short walk and this place is an awesome little gem tucked away.

I was traveling on my own for 2 nights before I joined my friends and I wanted a hotel that was in the heart of it all but not massive and this hotel was all of the above and more! It is a cool design and layout. The pool is just big enough to to cool off and chill out around. Staff are really friendly and rooms where clean and spacious. It is a 7 min walk to the beach, shops, restaurants and all that Waikiki has to offer! I will be defiantly staying here on my next trip to Hawaii! Thanks Surfja... Read more

My Fiancé and I were only here for a short stay on stopover and left with sadness that we were only there for 2 nights. Sai was extremely helpful and welcoming as well as the rest of the crew. There's a cool, happy vibe and the location was great. Rooms are on trend and spacious! We loved every minute of our stay at The Surfjack and can't wait to come back!

After staying at the Aston for 4 nights, we moved to Surfjack's for 7 nights. It is a couple of blocks in from the beach, yet very central, with ihop on the corner and Ruth Chris' a couple minutes walk away. The hotel is more boutique style and everything is spanking new, having been recently refurbished by new owners. The staff are very friendly and helpful. For 6 of the 7 days, Sai was always there when we were departing or returning to the hotel, with a smile and any helpful advise needed. He... Read more

Just finished our 3 night stay last night at the surfjack. Could not have picked a better place to stay! One street away from all the shopping and restaurants you could need and a nice relaxing hotel to come back to that is all newly renovated inside. We would honestly recommend to stay here than any other hotel in hawaii. A special thanks to Sai who made sure we knew where we were going every day and how to get there! He was a great friend to have during our stay and can't wait to be back there... Read more

If you want to experience Waikiki but avoid the busy crowed beach strip the Surfjack is an awesome chill place with excellent service, comfortable rooms and tasty cuisine options. After a day at the beach and the bustle of the Waikiki Strip it was nice to come back to the Surfjack and relax by the pool or in my room. In the evening the atmosphere was upbeat and lively but not too crowed which was nice. Hight recommend staying here. I'll definitely be back. :-)

I stayed here for 7 days recently. The hotel itself was wonderful. Everything was modern and clean. It's location was central and close to the beach. The food and drinks at the hotel was also innovative and delicious. It was not your standard fare. If you want to stay local this is the place to be. They have local events here and often support other local activites. The staff is a step above. Everyone was kind, compassionate, and beyond patient. Don't think twice. This is the place to stay.

The hotel and staff are AMAZING and made my anniversary vacation extra special. The staff did everything that we asked and then some. They offered great suggestions for meals and places to go see before our trip was over. They were over accommodating and it made our trip extra special.

The best thing about this hotel was its location, which was handy to lots of things. Its a smallish, nicely decorated hotel with a good pool & a restaurant (which we never had time to use, but it looked enticing). We got off to a bad start as we weren't forewarned about the 'resort fee' of $25/day, which amounted to $25 for two small bottles of water & use of wifi for us, so quite pricey. (We could have offset $10/day of that with restaurant purchases but as we were eating elsewhere with frie... Read more

Hands down, this is the best hotel for production. Friendly staff, great service, clean rooms, great restaurant... Everyone in the crew is happy. If you need a block of rooms for a group or as an individual, this is the place. Mucho Aloha.

This really is a cool hotel. The rooms were comfortable and clean, the amenities were great and it is just out of the busy tourist strip. The staff are so friendly and gave us great restaurant tips and advice on getting around. I hope we have an opportunity to return to Hawaii and stay at The Surfjack again.

Now, we got lucky I think. We booked this kinda last minute and were expecting just another hotel room in a cool looking place. But we got our own apartment overlooking the pool above the cafe (with the best coffee in Waikiki!). The staff were excellent, the pool was great, the cocktails refreshing, the food in the restaurant was delish, bit of a party atmosphere, I can't say enough good things. Oh yeah, there was a rockabilly lady with a seashell bra greeting people when we arrived, so much ... Read more

Absolutely LOVED our stay at the Surfjack!!! The team was all very welcoming and helpful from the get-go, and I appreciated the individualized attention given to each guest checking in. The Team was all very knowledgable and gave us some great recommendations. The hotel was beautifully designed and unique and we loved the open space of the Pool, hangout areas and Restaurant (which had the best Coffee and Breakfast!). A very hip, comfortable, fun and relaxed setting for our 1st tip to Honolulu. A... Read more

A friend and I met up in Waikiki for a week and booked this lovely hotel primarily because it had two-bedroom suites at a reasonable price. It's an older place that has been very recently remodeled and I was impressed by the results. The place was spotless and the staff went out of their way to make sure we had a good time. The restaurant has a limited menu, but everything we tried on it was great. I especially enjoyed the Naked Pig pizza. The hotel sits back from the main tourist chaos, but wa... Read more

You can't go wrong with a stay at The Surfjack. The whole experience is top notch - from the laid back coolness of the rooms, the exceptionally friendly staff, and the local culture-infused activities. The hotel is also very conveniently located in the heart of Waikiki, but set back just enough from the main strip to be very relaxing. I can't wait to go back!

The Surfjack Hotel & Swimclub was on my bucketlist for a while. What a unique hotel so one of a kind. It takes you back in time. When I was passing by Honolulu I took my chance to book a stay here. It is hard to explain how cozy it felt arriving there. They did an outstanding job creating a cozy place in such a busy city but they managed. After a trip where everything went wrong including a delay at the airport for a day I arrived there. And it felt like coming home. The laidback atmosphere, t... Read more

This is a nice hotel that was renovated earlier this year. It has a 1950's vibe to it; you will feel like you are in an Elvis movie. The single room was a bit tight but as I said the hotel was built in the 1950s or 1960s. They show old movies on the wall about the pool which I thought was interesting. The restaurant is very good and the staff was excellent. A special shout out goes to Benjamin and Channy who work the front desk and are excellent hotel representatives. The hotel is located ... This is my second home when I do business in Waikiki. There is something magic about this gem, from the moment you step into its revitalized-retro #WISHYOUWEREHERE lobby. The staff, the coffee, the design, the details, the intangible experience that recalls the wonders of Waikiki. I recommend this hotel for a memorable experience in authentic hospitality...and of course, aloha.

This hotel has not overlooked a single detail when it comes to service, ensuring the guests are happy and an amazing staff! From the time we called for last minute reservations, until our last minute request for late check out due to flight changes, the staff was amazing! Extremely clean facility, rooms and linens. There was a scheduled power outage on Schofield so we decided to get a hotel, I searched for two weeks looking into all the different places in Honolulu and all the various booking sites. Based on the reviews, we decided to chose Surfjack. Surfjack is located about 2 blocks from the Waikiki beach so so it's convenient but far from the crowds. The one thing I can't get over is how good the hotel smells. Jasmine scents all over. We stayed only overnight as we made this our jump off point before flying back to Manila after staying 5 nights in Disney Aulani. We got a 2 bedroom for our family of 5 and the size was quite adequate and the bathroom spacious. By the way, we stayed in Aulani as I had a nephew who loved it there but Su... Read more
