The king room itself was very spacious for my husband and I and all of our scuba gear. The bathroom was very large and well laid out and appointed. We had a view of the harbor and the service was good. The only negative is that they were working on renovating the pool area, which was just 2 floors below us. The front desk failed to inform us of the daytime construction activity, which was very disappointing. When we called to complain about the jack hammering in the afternoon, they did of... Read more

Nice hotel, recently renovated on the edge of Waikiki. Not really walking distance to Waikiki beach but the hotel had free shuttles. The rooms were very nice and recently renovated. Ours was on the 30th floor and had a nice view of the ocean. The staff were always friendly and helpful. The hotel seems to cater to mostly Japanese tourists and had a very Asian vibe. Pool is still being renovated.

This hotel is a large-ish, typical Honolulu/Waikiki hotel. It is not overly fancy, nor is it plain and without style. The room was quite comfortable, and had likely been recently upgraded/remodeled. The queen beds were exceedingly comfortable with the right combination of firmness for back support and softness to sink into (without disrupting that back support). The pillows were equally comfortable. Together, they gave the perfect foundation for a wonderful night's sleep. The bathroom was ... Read more

We were going to spend just one night in Waikiki and I decided to treat my wife to a high-class hotel. Although it is currently undergoing some extensive remodeling, all of the work was being done in such a manner to cause the least disturbance to the guests. We arrived about 7:00 in the morning after an all-night flight, and I hoped to find a way to secure our luggage prior to check-in time. To my surprise, James, at the desk, had a room available for us when we arrived which was quite a surpr... Read more

We got a ocean view room. The sunset from the room was good. The rooms were very neat and were large. The only thing was that there is a harbor directly opposite to hotel. So when we say ocean view we see the harbor as well. But when you compre the price of hotels providing complete ocean view and this one, you will see that hawaiian prince is good for its price. The service was very good. Waikiki beach is at a walking distance. Many good restaurants near by. Even the 100sails restaurant which i... Read more

The hotel is currently undergoing major renovations but the staff remains the best I've experienced. Have stayed at numerous Waikiki hotels over the past 30+ years and have settled on the Hawaii Prince as primary - unless they are sold out. Access from the airport to the hotel is the easiest for a Waikiki hotel. I use the self parking which is always available (the one time they did not, valet was free). Staff is so friendly from front desk, maintenance, housekeepers, restaurant/bar, to the ... Read more

The hotel held an Army reunion for several hundred people. The lobby and rooms are undergoing renovation. Some of the rooms have already been renovated but we did not have one of those. The view from the room is very good overlooking the marina.

I've stayed at this hotel numerous times, and it's always a delightful experience. I've stayed here since I was maybe four, and I've always loved it. The staff are very kind and helpful, the rooms are very nice, the view is gorgeous, and it's at a very convenient location. You can walk to the Ala Moana, the ABC Superstore, Outback, IHOP, etc. however, all good thing must come to an end, and that's just what happened to the prices. You used to be able to find this hotel at $99 a night on Pricelin... Read more
