We stayed in a partial ocean veiw room on the 29th floor. The room was very clean and neat. Housekeeping done a wonderful job. Food was excellent in the Splash bar. Front desk staff were pleasant. Very central to everything. They had the farmers market across the road with freshly cooked hot food, fresh fruit sliced ready to go and a must try is the Malasada. All in all a wonderful place to stay. Looking forward to 2018 when we return.

This Resort was wonderful! When I first arrived the atmosphere is fantastic, it definitely is a "fancy" place to stay and I was traveling with a hiking backpack only, I did get a few looks but everyone was more than friendly. The first room I checked in to was horrendous. It was in the main building on the 7th floor. They need to do much better cleaning, there was dust and crumbs everywhere, the beds were clean but the overall look of the room was really bad. The sink and rust in it, I would not... Read more

Check in was smooth, the room was spacious, clean and well appointed. We were on the third floor with a partial ocean view. The hotel is only 50 yards from the main Waikiki strip. Our only complaint was the bar service near the pool. It was slow and mildly dysfunctional. It took three reminders to get change of a $50 bill after buying just a beer!! They have a pretty good band that plays in the evening and we spent a pleasant couple of hours on our room verandah, listening to the band while we ... Read more

One night stay since our hotel for three weeks did not have room for one night. Overall room was quiet and clean. Outdated with old green carpet and fixtures/etc but was clean and had partial ocean view. SPG Gold so got breakfast vouchers which was great. Breakfast was good, quick and hit the spot before heading to work. Pool area is a little small and closes early if you have kids that want to swim at night.

We are from Australia and stayed at this resort (3 rooms in total) for 7 nights. The rooms itself are fine! I Didn't have any problems with the room. We had a balcony overlooking the pool. The bed is super comfy and the bathrooms fine. The child's crib though is from the 80's and my son kept getting his foot stuck between the bars while he was sleeping which would wake him up screaming. The tour operator was great! He booked in all our tours nice and easy! The thing that I hated the most was th... Read more

We experienced a little trouble with a smoke alarm during the early hours of the morning. Construction work in the area starts real early. Swimming pool closes at 7pm which is too early. Just a very short stroll from Waikiki beach. All staff were very helpful and friendly and Terry at concierge was just awesome. She helped me with so much information / insight I was confidently able to follow her advice and enjoy my holiday. Tour desk operators were not very helpful however.

My most recent stay was 5/30/2016. Been here so many times I've lost count. This is my #2 go to hotel in Hawaii. I've never had any problems here. This review is an overall impression of the past 10 years and is not about a specific stay. Hotel: I would classify this hotel as upscale business travel or high turnover vacationer so expect crowds, wait lines and not much quiet. To be fair, this hotel is over 60 years old so some of the rooms and amenities are starting to show their age. However, ... Read more

We have stayed here twice in the past few years and highly recommend this place because of the location. It is not beachfront, but its only a one minute walk to the beach, where they will provide you with towels, chairs and water if you like. It is simple, clean. Our shuttle driver told us that the Pk as it's known locally is one of the oldest hotels in Waikiki. All you need to hear after travelling from the UK. However on arrival we was pleasantly surprised at how good the public areas are kept. Staff greeted us very warmly. On getting to our room though it's age shows through. Nothing major, just looking tired. Maybe highlighted more as the past 4 hotels we have stayed at have just had refurbs. To be fair though it's still a great place. If you need... Read more

An enjoyable 2 night stay which started with a friendly, efficient checkin. The room was comfortable, clean and the wifi worked well. The pool area is great as is the busy lobby area. Couldn't get a better location to access shops, restaurants, trolleys/buses and the beach. Well priced and highly recommended.

Great location, nice rooms, good view and right close to great restaurants and the beach made this a great place to stay. I was here for 6 weeks total and have no complaints. I did find the restaurant in the hotel to be quite expensive so I would head to Duke's or The Cheesecake Factory which was close by. Staff was friendly and always did well cleaning the rooms and common areas.

We arrived at midnight following a late flight and was very impressed when the lady on check in said she would upgrade our room as we were a honeymoon couple! Great we thought! Love coming to this location as a local. Always get upgraded, big fluffy beds, and pool with a bar. Entertainment at the pool during the evening that you can sit outside your balcony and listen to. Walking distance to everything in Waikiki if that's your thing. Late check-out if avail. The dinner buffet is rather limited, but not bad.

This is a good hotel if you are looking for location. This hotel is very convenient to the beach, the shops and downtown Waikiki. It has a great lobby and bar but the pool closes at night (hard on kids) and no hot tub. Rooms are clean but need upgrading. Lots of construction taking place next door at the international plaza location. They do offer beach chairs and towels but it is a little trek to get to the Sheraton area and not easy to find.

While it appears to be an older hotel on the strip, it has a great access to the beach, shopping and restaurants. The staff was very friendly and readily available to assist if required. Once you step out the front door you find yourself surrounded by the atmosphere that is Waikiki. The only downside was the construction going on next door which will be done eventually.

This hotel is in serious need of a renovation. I've been to this hotel twice and the staff is very nice. The lobby is beautiful and the greatness stops there. The rooms are old and musty. They offer the government rate which is good and they are centrally located near the beach. If you are a platinum member they offer you food and drink vouchers to make up for not having a lounge. But they didn't allow me to bring a guest which I found a bit odd.

The Princess Kaiulani is very well located on Kalakaua Avenue, and pretty much in the center of Waikiki. The hotel has been here since the 1960's, and while it has been refurbished a number of times, it hasn't been recently and that makes for dated rooms with bathrooms that are clearly from the 60s. Ok, it's Waikiki and you're not supposed to spending all of your time in the room - but they're not very fresh. Definitely clean, but not much to write home about. You'd be much better off using t... This Sheraton must be THE stop for EVERYONE one block from Waikiki and everything that it offers. It was really too busy for us. Masses of people coming in and out all day and night. Nice rooms, our pool view room had a quarter (the coin) sized view of the ocean! Comfy beds and nice room accoutrements. The highlights were the Big Kahuna guys at the pool and the bell boys/porters/very capable 'assisters'. They were all so nice and friendly. Fresh fruit and popsicles offered every afternoon poolsi...
